The Word Bearers Legion - Lorgar's Teachings (Warhammer 40k Lore)

And, no questions about any 'Warp' business.” No, I'm not too fond of Lorgar either. Though his personality, nature and tendencies would have been yet another facet of those of human beings and humanity, reflected and embodied. I like the distinctive hewn, shod much more well-worn the surface appearance of all asatartes legions' power armour possesses regardless of ceramite colour, ironically compared to the shinier counterparts worn in the more degraded 40K era. Fanatical and falling or not, the model of the primarch still looks damn good. Even though the suit seen after 6:30 looks oh-so-coincidentally posed as a monument, as well as...bloated. Too much hot air, Lorgar? It's what noticeably slowed down your Crusading lads! “Artfully adjusted” advice they themselves administered...as in, artistic license? Was what Lorgar and the Word Bearers did artful or in the vein of artists? Zealotry, is more like; and built-in at the genetic (or even spiritual) level, apparently. Heed our words (read our Book) or burn. Lorgar really insisted upon one twisted, contradictory meaning to the Imperial Truth. Redemptionists (and House Cawdor) would find more comfort and relatable comraderie with this legion than any others, I think. Funny, that maths, numbers in chronology, were one of the inevitable essences of humanity's existence that caused wider revelation of the XVIIth's militant proselytizing (pun intended). Tht telling of one of the Word Bearer's own Crusade-era campaigns was as interesting a recounting of a war as the other space marines'. The Ascended “wearing the faces of human men and women”...I take that to mean those were humans as host thralls for the anonymous parasitic xenos. Tragic, also, that under the Word Bearers' influence these residents who lived for hundreds of years on their own technology were driven to fanatical interstellat invasion upon Ultramar by these legionnaires, a mere half-century after knneling to their new, twisted and secret faith. Thanks be to you once again for hailing the fervent, misguided tale of this mouthy legion, Narrator. Almost sympathetic, but not quite. All the same, I look forward to your further adding to the richness of the lore of the early crusading Emperor milleniums. The Imperial Truth was a religion in all but name to begin with and the Emperor was alredy playing god he would just not admit it. There were reasons for this, but it made the transformation into the Word Bearers a much more logical next step then the other leaders of the Crusade ever admited.

Lorgar flipped the Word Bearers IMMEDIATELY into worshipping the God-Emperor when he took over the Imperial Heralds... Lorgar conquered Colchis in a bloody religious war as Prophet of the One against the ruling Church of the Four. The God-Emperor spent six weeks being toured around Colchis upon His arrival as quite literally the prophesied ONE that Lorgar conquered the world in His name... Lorgar & the Word Bearers then spent the next CENTURY ooenly preaching the Lecitio Divinitius & converting every world they conquered to that faith. After the God-Emperor drove Lorgar back to the Chaos Gods to cause the Horus Heresy that Lorgar had been attempted to be raised as a priest of by Kor... then the Word Bearers flipped to being Chaos worshippers immediately again.
