@@mauroivan2062 she always says River is why she started doing drugs. 🙄 I told her in another video she needs to take responsibility for herself and she's probably insane. Like, how obsessed do you have to be to comment on every video remotely tied to River?
@@riverphoenixlovers5340 But, his nose is a little bit problematic, too girly if you know what I mean 🙄. The rest of his face was perfect! But, the nose..... 😳😕
No matter what demons he had in life, River was always polite and friendly in interviews - a really gentle, kind soul who wouldn’t have hurt a fly! So sad what happened to him! 😢💔
People saying the music is bad or that River couldn't sing: you don't understand and you don't know a thing. Until they release a cd of his music, I've got a mix tape that I made a year ago. It has, what, 17 or 18 tracks on which I arranged in the order that worked best. It's incredible, they're incredible. The band were great with serious potential and River really could sing and so could his sister Rain. And the both of them singing together? What I imagine the afterlife to be like. Unbridled truth, liberation, beauty.
@@LunaLu-00 considering the immense darkness that he faced and many light beings do face better to fight the good fight because u can only imagine what kind of darkness his soul has had to endure since his death. I have faith in his journey but damn remember the grass ain’t always greener on the other side. One foot after another we shall push to glory
i love Rains dancing LOL, its fab! River seemed alot more confident in this interview, other interviews he seems more reserved, but i suppose music was his real passion, so he felt more enthusiastic, god he was beautiful, such a talented man!
A THING CALLED LOVE(1993) AND MY OWN PRIVATE IDAHO IN MY OPPINION WERE THE BEST RIVER PHOENIX S WORK. HE WAS VERY TALLENTED AND DIED IN DARK AND STRANGE SITUATIONS. TODAY TWENTY FOUR YEARS AFTER RIVER S DIED I DON T BELIEVE IN A OVERDOSE. I BELIEVE THAT RIVER WAS MURDERED WITH DRUGS BECAUSE HE TELLED VERY INFORMATION ABOUT PEDOFILY IN HOLLYWOOD AND MENCIONED ABOUT SEVERAL CRITICS FROM CONSUMED SOCIETY AND MANY CRITICS ABOUT AMERICAN SOCIETY.
@@thejacobfuentesI’m kinda late but I just found this video and I couldn’t agree more with both of you 😢 River was an angelic soul, I just knew he was a hugger lol ❤ but imagine him as a bf though, he would’ve been so cuddly and lovey 🥰 I bet he was a great lover, he was the complete package. I’m always sad when I remember he died so young 😢
@lifeiswhatyoumakeitt Exactly! I'm so happy to see that younger generations are loving and appreciating River like we did in the 80s. :) It just shows that he's a legend.
He was a very sweet dear boy. Fantastic talent. He put the weight of the world on his shoulders. In the end, sadly, Hollywood just ate him alive. Gone at 23. A drug overdose. Another cautionary tale. I can't believe he's gone nearly 30 years.
This is my favorite River interview i always watch this interview from different peoples channels but this one is so clear. I love the whole condom part because of rivers facial expression to cute!!!!!
River was such a beautiful man. The first time I saw him was in the movie Stand by Me. Sixteen-year-old River was the loveliest boy among the other kids in the movie. >v
The interviewer so fancied River! Really flirting with him. It kind of made her look a bit of an airhead though. Especially as he wasn't flirting back! Lol
@ BLTKellys What an extraordinary comment. I think it perfectly expresses what many people have felt The World missed out on, when he passed. It's hard to explain to people who've never witnessed his talent and thoughtful humanity, just how beautiful he was and how much it didn't seem to matter that he was so beautiful, at all. There was so much more to him, than that.
Wish he'd lived long enough to come and promote a movie in England. I didn't know river but I think he loved the country and we have lots of wildlife and green fields in England or we did in the 80s . And if I wasn't 9 back then I could have shown him Derbyshire. Well I can in my dreams x💋
I think he would have loved the Lake District, especially the area around Keswick. The lakes are incredibly beautiful in early summer, when the sun comes out after the rain. Just think what it would have been like, if someone had suggested visiting the Lakes, and if he had gone and decided to stay there, far from the glitz and grandeur of Hollywood and everything so false, shallow and superficial about it.
I was the same age as River at this time and remember watching this - he was a wonderful actor and person. I sometimes wonder if he'd lived, would he have achieved the same success as J Depp? RIP River...
I remember watching this live. The word on a Friday night was the best when you were a teenager.Sure the interviewer marries one of the guys from duran duran!
That girl on stage is his sister. And who wouldn't tune in to this man talking about sex. I know my fiance knows I am thinking of river almost everytime and everysecond, love you river!
@riverchick23 That is my thinking too. I'm not eating meat anymore for myself, but River definitely inspired me. (and a roommate who I share meals with) He was this beautiful soul that actually had the gumption to DO the things that I believed in. If people follow what he did just because he did it.. .well, I guess that's less waste and animal consumption, but the point he tried to make was because it was the right thing to do, not because he did it.
Sadly, well never know. At the time of his death, he was bigger than JD so yes, its possible. He was a wonderful actor he had a very special talent. I still think of him to this day. :)
Nopes, I checked up after I watched this. They had a 2 year development deal with Island Records and after that time the label chose not to pursue a contract. Phoenix was self-funding an album when he died with a different line up. The bass player and the viola player in this vid left and formed a new band together.
who puts a thumbs down for something like this? people can b lame af. so sweet, seeing Amanda decadanet n river n lol rain how cute is she, was like a infra flash back to the 90's when I was 7.
omg i just watched the film "the thing called love' and now i am so in love with this man. he resembles Johnny Depp doesnt he? they are both amazing. how sad...
@@EngelsLawliet He was joking, River liked to lie during interviews and joke around a lot. In some behind the scene footage interviewing hustlers during the filming of My Own Private Idaho he talks about having safe sex and using condoms to protect against stds. He was a very intelligent boy, he just loved to say stupid shit during interviews.
You may be right, but I dread to think that Robert Pattinson is today's "it boy" in the same way as River Phoenix. I can't in all honesty say Robert Pattinson is a bad actor as I refuse to watch the Twilight films, but that in itself is a skill: choosing the right films. He could be a great actor for all I know and never shown it because of his poor career choices. However, River Phoenix was not just fashionable in the 90s, but he was a timeless, terrific actor who made great career choices.
@Ineedanamerofl actually, there is a theory that someone from the cult he grew up in, may have had something to do with his death. They should reopen the case.
