I am really enjoying this this series. I like that the focus is on what folks with vision impairment are capable of doing rather than on their limitations.

Hi Sam: I haven't had much time to regularly comment, but I have been keeping up with this fantastic series. I love the variety of guests that you have brought on to talk about their different experiences. I hope that this series will be continued in the future, as I know, there are plenty of others, whose experiences Might be very helpful to many.

Another great episode, Sam. Thanks. I think this is my favourite so far. James, you are a remarkable young man, and I wish you all the success in the world. As my vision gets worse and worse (optic nerve damage from glaucoma and drusen), website accessibility becomes more and more important. But it seems like the people who choose website colours have no idea how to make things readable. My two "favourites" (sarcasm is implied) are dark text on a dark background and light text on a light background. More and more, I find myself relying on the screen reader. But at least I have that. Okay, that's enough complaining for now. Again, great job, both of you.

Hey Sam you should consider doing a video on techniques or things you do to help calm yourself or refocus when something is being super frustrating or maybe you feel defeated by a certain thing and like how to combat letting your blindness get the better of you. Don't know if you have a video like this if you do I have not seen it yet. But I often get very frustrated sometimes like a little child and then I have to gather myself and try again LOL

Hi, I just wanted to take issue with the term "Visually Impaired" becayse that to me means" Ugly" hehehe... I am vision impaired of just plain Blind and I am told good looking so I guess it depends on which tack you take but I hate the term visulally impaired as it just isn't a good fit to me.. I always use BTEterm Vision Impaired or Blind to be more accurate and descriptive of the condition not the appearance of a blind or vision impaired peron... what do you guys think? BTW, great interview with James. Thanjs Sam.

I think it very much depends on the individual person, where they are in their journey with blindness, and how they identify. If you do not identify with the term visually impaired, that is absolutely valid and fine. But someone else does, and that should always be respected. I personally identify as blind because I do not have any site. But I know plenty of folks who identify as visually impaired, legally, blind, low vision, etc.
