Seems like a good option to keep in the car in case of emergency or general night use. Not super expensive and yellow flash can be useful if broken down at night.

Thanks for a great review...especially the magnets! So many work lights have anemic magnets that drop off the car while you're trying to change a tire.

Nice. Fixes most things I disliked about the rover, but... Swappable 21700 cells or even 18650s, is my requirement. Love everything else, plastic is OK, light output is perfect for me and service work. I'd take a larger size and 21700 cells, definite buy. Until then, my mh12s and m12 rover will have to do.

@@WorkshopAddict & Dragon Rider - On a clean non-pourous surface one could use micro suction tape to hold a ferrous plate in place. That is what Quip uses for their toothbrush holder. I really should look to see if that stuff is generally available. It seems that I have seen it somewhere, besides the mentioned example. What the Olight Obulb does is supply a ferrous plate with a mounting tape back. I also saw a review of it where the reviewer (Prepared Guy I think) ordered additional metal plates used with phone mounting and re-purposed them. The Obulb (and similar competitors) work differently as the light is coming from the top and outward, so good for sitting under sinks and things to supply light. At under two ounces with its built in battery it also manages to stick a number of surprising places, such as any ferrous wallboard corner bead. The Fenix WT16R looks like it could be clipped to the outside of a pocket and supply light too.

Just get another magnet and put it on the otherside of the plastic. Sorta make an oreo with the magnets and plastic in the middle.

Cool light. Almost thought it could be a new daily. But nowhere near the capability of the eagtac dx30lc2-sr. I’ve used this light daily for 3.5 years with no hiccup. Check it out If you like both flood and spotlight.

Interesting alternative. I like my right angle lights which will do for me, but this gives additional options. Two lights in one, and a neutral white option if you make the effort. I guess one could clip it to the outside of a pocket or collar and use the side light. I would prefer a bi-directional or dual direction clip.

I really want to like this light but the fact that batteries aren't replaceable, and the body isn't machined aluminum is a deal breaker for me.

Agreed, but as a work light, I assure you it is more than enough.

I think I’d rather use the Milwaukee pivoting light with the removable battery, over a work light like that. Definitely way too busy for a carry light.
