I want you to understand something. You have ALWAYS been inspirational to me. Your dance videos, your skits, your dedication to trying to get on SNL and wrestling and never giving up. All of it. You are the most criminally underrated creator on youtube and if nothing else I hope you realize how much you mean to people out there. Much like why I love SNK so much. You are the underdog. Please never give up man. You are awesome and you always will be.
Also sufficient protein intake is important to keep your muscle mass . They require a certain amount for upkeep just like the rest of your body does for other "resources"..
I've been following you for a decade and a half. You're still the same genuine down to Earth dude. Love you, man! Can't wait to see the next person you'll annihilate in a boxing match.
Sorry to hear it's been tough for you these last few years. I've been watching you dance, do stunts and play characters online for many years now and you're always able to make me smile. Hopefully your workouts will help you get centred again.
Im out of shape. I used to be so in shape. Im 43, as well. During the pandemic, I got depressed, and I'm bone on bone knees and hips. I've decided that i need to start doing walking aerobics. I used to be a health and fitness consultant, and I exercised and worked out all day, I loved it. I miss that. It's time to get it back.
Nathan, I turned 40, in 23. I've found that the most exhausting work is construction, waste removal, deconstruction. I feel great, no 6 pack, but I am stronger than the average 25 - 30 year old. Something to be proud of - what you are doing. The best kind of work is work you do making money or helping people. Get out there and record it - yard cleanup, it exercises the muscles you wont use in the gym. You are inspirational, keep it up brother. Fellow Dad.
Welcome to the iron club Nathan! Awesome seeing you working out, keep at it and eat the proper amount of protein and you will be blessed with great gains!💪🏼
I really got into workouts during the pandemic too. All with the body weight. Pushups, squats, leg raises from the laying down position. The program was called something like "otter mode". Great stuff, lost 8 kilos. You don't need a gym to start improving your health. Been sick for the last month and am looking to get back into excercising. Thank you for the video. You are one of my cardio inspirations. It's probably my weakest spot.
I've been sad for decades and off working out for ages, so this really helps. I hope that things get better soon. You're doing your best and that is the hardest thing of all.
Love this style of video from you. I’m the same with working out… something has to be fun for me to want to do it, so I always just got exercise through things like climbing, cycling, and having a physical job - but I feel like I need to start actually working out now. Damn office job!
Thanks for doing this Nathan. I too am a sad person. I'm 39 and I broke my collarbone a few years ago as well as loosing my Dad within 6 months after. My motivation has been basically non existent. I'm not over or under weight but I want to get back to where i was before all the stuff happened. Doing some decline pushups while watching felt good. It really shows how much a workout partner can help. I'll keep working out along side you if you keep doing the workout vids. Much appreciated Nathan.
I do the samething with youtube at the gym. I watched Transformers the Movie last week and worked out for almost 2 hours. Head was basically in a pickle jar as I carefully went through the sets that my A.I. had laid out for me. I've lost 101 pounds in 2 years, weighing 171 now and getting pretty jacked.
There are moments in our life where it clearly defines a before and after, and almost feels like you have to find yourself again. That happened to me a few years back. Since then, I've been doing therapy, going for walks, working on my mental health, and prioritizing what I want in life. Best of luck, Nathan. I don't know what you're going through, but I recognize it.
Happy to see you training hard Nathan working out always puts you into a better headspace. I recommend getting some powerblock dumbells for your pad brother. They don't take up much space and you can do a lot progressive overload with the heavier weight. you're one of my favorite creators and I've been absolutely obsessed with strength training the last few months so seeing ya post something like this is really awesome. Saw you at the hershey theater with the grumps and thought you were lookin swole brother keep on training 😁
Nathan, I don't know if you are actually sad. But I always say I am a huge fan! You are unique and inspirational. I still blast NeoGeo song to my friends. Love you man! hope you do great things and lead a great life
You dont have to be happy for anybody. Im just glad youre around man. I know its kind of a weird thing to say cause I'm a stranger pretty much just consuming content, but...that's how it is I guess. I'm just glad you're you and I'm happy to get to experience some part of that. Keep on truckin!
I started working out 3 days ago In 37 I've not lived well I'm 130 kgs, at 6'2 I have a good amount of unearned strength I work in IT I'm diagnosed ADHD Depression is yes I've never been really very fit, but I definitely used to be much fitter than I am now I'm just out of my most recent bout of weeklong bed time I have a little bit of money. Not a crazy amount. If I had a family, I'd probably be in poverty. But for 1 person, I have some to lose I've decided I'm going to set aside a budget for physical and mental health. A big budget. Much bigger then i ever have before Just kind of realised. Nothing is more expensive than dying. Might as well blow all my money trying to live, than lose it all by no longer existing Kind of peculiar that this is the video I see at this moment in my life Hopeful? Kinda
Loved watching this. I’m 40 myself now and haven’t got back into working out for a couple of years now. The motivation just isn’t there. I vote for you to do a few more videos like this if you want to. You could maybe even work out during a live stream, I would gladly watch that.
Yeah I really enjoyed this. I've been following you for some years, and I love working out. The only difference is I love doing repetitive things (gym). But when I was younger, I did kickboxing, soccer and also did cardio like crazy. For a few reasons, I can't go to the gym at the moment, so I started training at home, just like you. Rubber bands are great for that. Just a quick piece of advice: cold showers are awesome, but not recommended right after your training session.
I’ve heard the opposite. Most places I look say it’s good. “17 different studies of the effects of cold water immersion on muscle soreness found some evidence that a cold plunge really did make people feel less sore”
It’s the opposite. “17 different studies of the effects of cold water immersion on muscle soreness found some evidence that a cold plunge really did make people feel less sore”
I’m only doing home work outs, my age means heavy weight lifting often results in loud groans, sharp fart or clicking of joints - does not bother me much but the young gym beautiful really don’t appreciate it much.
Please dont be sad. 😢 if you are sad, I am sad. Seeing anybody sad makes me sad. Yes, working out raises endorphins in your brain. It's a great release.
I hope WWE snatches you up soon, they're missing out if they don't! I hope if not them, then I wish another promotion gives you the spot you deserve 🙏 the scene needs people and characters like you. I also joined the indie pro wrestling scene later on in my life but with all its challenges comes a very rewarding career.
Did you also have to significantly increase your food intake? Asking as a skinny guy who struggles to gain weight but wants to look more fit 🥲Love your work btw, sending you good vibes Nathan.
Do a rocky training montage including slamming down big ol mug of raw eggs..run upstairs with the squeezer grips on a shoelace around your neck in grey hoodie warmups😂
I am 45 and my muscle mass started going down the shiter as well. I work night shifts and a guy I work with got me on weights. For 3 nights a week I work bench/Chest then pulls/back the second night and shoulders the third night. After 3 months straight I am finally putting some muscle back on.
second comment, i would love if you did a longer video, like a full workout, so we could workout with you....... i am also a boxer, i fight out of "east side boxing" in vancouver.... i also do the shadow boxing with 2 pound weights........ i honestly watched this 3 times in a row, and did a quick workout along
I thought about it but wondering the length would prevent people from watching. I often do almost two hours. But I’m stopping and watch tv during it so it’s not a great workout to follow.
