Yes, this is a great place to have steak & frites! BUT if you do get a chance to go, make sure they're open during your visit. They close in the summer for like a month or so.
Rick if you love steak you have to come to Omaha, Nebraska and try some of the local steakhouses! We are one of the top beef producers in the world so it’s all fresh and local.
@@jeffdc6467 I knew a Chinese place that had a lobster tank where diners chose their food to be taken to the kitchen... ...where they put a frozen in the pot! The live one goes back in the tank to be "picked" again. And again.
@@adamkane7513 because it's fucking expensive and the so called secret sauce is just a purposely failed béarnaise ("sauce tournée") with tons of different herbs If you want a nice steak, nothing fancy, for a very reasonable price, just go to Hippopotamus. Extremely tender steaks and lots of choices for sauces. You can even have chocolate mousse refills at no cost and without limit.
I've had the one in Paris and Dubai, and I gotta say the one in Dubai is better in my opinion. Probably because you get better options for the choice of meat.
Talking about the value when eating at l’entrecôte is stupid. It’s an experience, it’s the steak, the sauce, the wine, the exceptional servers, and the aura of Paris. You can’t get this anywhere else.
I don't think so, because i know nowhere in France where i can have 2 time steak and fries and a complete meal for this price... except Flunch of course, but it is not the same level of quality, dont' you ? ^^ 28 euros is the usual price for a good meal in a winstub restaurant where i live (in Colmar), and even "ordinary restaurants" in province come closer to this price nowdays for the classic formule (entrée, plat et dessert)... so i understand when foreigners think 28 euros at l'Entrecôte is a bargain ^^
@@imprisonedone8054 (btw do you speak french ?) Well, for example, if you live with a child, it is a challenge to live with 30e of groceries. Like i said few comments earlier, i live in Colmar (Alsace), and food is not as expensive as in Paris, but not cheap either... but at least we can go in Germany to make some groceries for less. Anyway, the main topic was about the tourist in Paris, and they don't have the time or the furniture to cook something... also they are in France for holidays, maybe business travel, even a honeymoon, etc. so i completely understand that, and they want to have fun and good food... and on this aspect, a 28e steak and fries buffet with a iconic sauce is a better deal than a awful croque monsieur/salade for 18e around Montmartre or some crowded places. Find a good little restaurant with good food at a sensible price is difficult in Paris, unless you go deep into the street or you have a french friend who know every good spots in Paris ^^
It’s very very good, and the sauce is legendary but they cook the steak better at the London branch and they serve it with the same sauce and better fries. Make sure to try that if you go on a European tour, rather than this one.
@TonyDMontana The food is good, so why does it matter? How is it a "trap" if the food is good and affordable? I know plenty of locals that eat there in Paris and New York. You're the one missing out, buddy.
That meal is right up my alley, just not sure that $28 is a great deal on some low grade beef and French fries smothered in sauce. Unless by round two he means that you get more steak and fries - that might be worth the $28.
You didn't even rate the sauce or give ANY description of the food aside from "steak could be a little better." Terrible food review. Such low effort content smh.
