I wonder how such a island got a mutation of a virus, while the vaccines got rolled out and not the mainland which was Europe, which would be more likely to get a mutation, simply because there's more people for a virus to mutate since a virus needs a host body.
My predictions for 2030 : Mobile will become internal part of human body , At least two countries will fail probably Egypt and Saudi Arabia, air travel will become far too common and air taxi will be seen together with big drones and air police survilence , island Nations like Maldives , Mauritius ,etc will start considering merger with bigger countries , Japan Korea Greece Eastern Europe and south America will become completely stagnant nation used only for tourism , Chinese manufacturing will start creating problems for poor countries as China will avoid the mistake which America did by killing their manufacturing like it did with recycling , America will completely withdraw from Asia , Africa and Eastern Europe , Eu will collapse once any Arabian country collapse and migrants fill Europe , Chinese model will be exported and liked by dictators as at that time people will loose hope in Capitalism and start liking Chinese Socialism also at that time China will be spending huge amount of money on pr like developing movies etc , Poverty will still exist , Electric cars will be common , New inventions will be seen to tackle Asians problems like language and climate change in Asia , China will force everyone or everyone will accept that they can't live without Chinese money so disputes like South China Sea will be solved on terms of kicking west out , also space will see new race to establish new cities on moon , Mars and find new moons will be found to migrate
