a RIDICULOUS amount of content in this game. It's 'just' a vtuber fan project but it is, even independently of any fandom, one of the best Vampire Survivors like games.
Indeed considering the amount of absolute garbage Survivorlikes we've seen shat out in the past year (especially on mobile), Holocure is a breath of fresh air in just the sheer amount of content it provides putting it on par with the original Vampire Survivors IMO.
The reason Ollie's ultimate is what it is is because one of Ollie's favorite games is Apex Legends and one of her favorite guns before it was nerfed was the charge rifle. It is yellow because during one of her streams she said, " I piss like a charge rifle."
Truly, the world of vtubers is all glitz, glamour and decorum just like I expected xD Just hearing nuggets of HoloLive lore is some of the funniest stuff, lmao.
Just remember to rotate as fast as possible to hit as many as possible while it’s charging, then when it’s about to fire, aim at whatever enemy you want deleted…
Some of them can be hard to miss if you don't read the whole description and see the character's name there xD Knowing Tom's fascinating maxed out ability to skim read, I'm just happy he usually takes ones that are more obvious!
I hope Tom visits this game again and checks out all the new features, he didn't even see the HoloHouse! Fishing, farming, cooking and building minigames.
So glad you're doing more content for Holocure! Also, on the level up screen, if you move right it opens a list of all the collabs you have currently unlocked!
It's a waste of a slot on most characters unless you have a multihit main weapon that can trigger it often (e.g. Irys, Mumei, Amelia), S. Super Chatto Time or skills based on coins. I'd rather get the usual Haste + Size + Mark combination in every other situation because they ensure survival directly.
I've plenty of coin, so it tends to take up a slot I can use for something else. Marked, bomb, slow means I'm able to consistently damage bosses regardless of who's being directly hit, and clear mooks so I don't get trapped.

My absolute favorite thing about these videos as a fan of Holopro is how Tom has the exact same in-depth knowledge of Holopro as my parents and, unlike them, loves to share his vast and unending knowledge with the world. Chippy the Chipmunk is my favorite ID mascot, and I appreciate that Tom knows her name (as not many do) and chose to share it with a wider audience. There may be people out there who find Tom's eagerness to share his knowledge cringe-worthy, but I choose to believe those people are simply jealous that they don't share Tom's infinite spring of knowledge and unadulterated passion for all things Holopro. I can't wait to meet Tom at 'fes next year, it was a shame he had to miss it this time around!
Something to note on this game - _it'll ALWAYS be 100% free._ The lead developer Kay Yu _was_ contacted by HoloLive and offered ways to monetize it, but Kay Yu declined to keep it solely as a passion project, and everyone involved has a full-time job. They're so committed to this and not using HoloCure to self-promote, you'll note that by choice - *Kay Yu also doesn't have their name in the credits **_at all._* I can't say enough good things about the project and everyone working on it. It's just insanely fun and there's _SO MUCH CONTENT._
Also: Eufrik has all their music from *_HoloCure_* uploaded to their RU-vid channel a week after any new release. If you need to jam to it outside of the game, that's where to check it out and also let them know how much you enjoy it!!
when Tom started talking about how the thrown sword "oneshots" enemies, it reminded me of how zylus gets made fun of for the TTT boomerang, despite it being the exact same thing essentially :D
I've not used Ollie yet, so nice to see her played. Also, her name is pronounced like crazy. Because she's crazy. I guess in english, you'd maybe say it like couragey. Honestly though, I just like playing in the holohouse, got me a golden rod. Bae is my favourite to play as though.
m o r e! This is definitely one of the best Survivals-like currently out there in the genre (probably on par with Vampire Survivors, if honestly not BETTER because this one has so much more replayability and just way more content to keep it fresh) and watching Tom play this game is such a treat.
Something that’s kinda funny and a little “Aww…” is in regards to Ollie’s special attack. It’s based on the “charge rifle” weapon from the game Apex Legends, which is apparently Ollie’s favorite weapon in that game. HOWEVER, at some point, Apex did an update where they nerfed the charge rifle and Ollie was really bummed about it. Full-on “Look what they did…they massacred my boy.” bummed out, Then she played Holocure when it got put on Steam, found out her special attack is the charge rifle as it was before that nerf, and she basically broke down crying from happiness during the stream.
I actually re-started playing again after it got on Steam myself, so seeing Tom back in it again makes me happy. Mostly because we know *just* as much about HoloLive! ...I've become more of a PhaseConnect or indie fan, most of which I blame on RU-vid Shorts doomscrolling. Just goes to show how well the mechanics/etc. of the game work to have the same kind of draw for people who don't know buggerall about what's going on!
YAAAAAy Holocure!!!! ^^ Love that you've come back to this game :D btw The first character you picked, Anya, one of her abilities "Slumber" lets you do your favorite 'holding still' tech! Healing, slows all enemies, makes you take less damage, slowly makes you deal less damage. Very strong!
Daily reminder that Tom is an amazing person and to thank him for all he has done/will do - Day 1368 WOOOO so good to see a return of Holocure as damn, it's been too long. And wow, such changes and updates since last time, very exciting :D been a while since I've played too and now I really must get back to it ha ha. Also with it being on Steam now is very cool, helps when updating the game too ha ha. I do wonder how you can transfer data as I see Tom's has been, so I do hope I too can do that. Going to be honest, for the longest time I thought that character was a Robot, not a Zombie ha ha. I tell you though, her undead power is very cool and really adds a new level to tue game :D I am looking forward to even more :D especially since I rely on Tom for my lore knowledge :D
Man, the 0.6 update is amazing. You'll have an absolute _blast_ with it, and the Steam release is mega helpful for keeping it up-to-date for the future.
At least there is a robot character in the form of Roboco! She’s one of my favorites to use, but Ollie is my number 1 favorite. The Undead skill is super useful, Simp of All Time is great for speed buffs, and Zombie Ninjutsu has so many uses, it’s such an incredible skill.
What an excellent video! You could do with going for the skills a little more, they're always useful - and there's also a whole new section to this game called holo house, hope you enjoy this game more!
Awesome! I also think tom would love the holo house area in this game. It's not a battlefield and you can choose it from the menu. It offers much nice stuff! also love to see his reaction to each hololive Idol and what they do! Can't wait till he uses Sana. Such a good tanker character! Or a huge crit character like Bae!
I hope he later figured out that using the anvils to rapidly increase low level weapons for free is better than over-buffing stuff that's already maxed out. I was waiting for him to remember Ollie's chakara abilities XD
I am relatively sure you found the stat tab in the shop and bought the weapons and speed upgrades since they were green on stage four so not entirely needed to get them in that level. hope you look at the holo house minigame section next time you play.
