I believe my fan mail from the 90s (I’m 32) is at 3:30. My Nana signed me up for the fan club as an early Christmas present. If it is me, I’m pretty sure it is, my mind is blown! Forever a fan 💖🦄🐬🐼🐱🌈

As much as she is such a wonderful creator, we mustn’t forget that the reasons this factory IS abandoned is because of horrible treatment of the employees causing them to quit. And, also said by multiple assistants , Lisa Frank was very rude and disrespectful and was not right in the head. Though, she still has made an incredible mark on history.

You should have seen her EARLY 80'S stuff! I do have a lot of her earlier stuff. She would do every single piece of art (the stickers were small and round) by hand using an airbrush...and in those days its was EXPENSIVE lol. Her work had this dreamy spray paint-esque look to it. A beautiful emerald castle with a dragon, a frog with white glowing wings and a simple gold crown, a cute 1950's boy friend and girl friend sipping a chocolate malt with balloon hearts....sigh exquisite lol. I hope I didn't burst any bubbles btw, but you really should know what goes on behind the items you buy/love. She's still around and makes stuff. I have one sticker by her from 1979!

I live in Tucson and just found out about the abandoned factory, went for a visit due to the ｖａｐｏｒｆｕｌ windows. Some things to note: 1) It IS fenced off, but the fence does have still-colored stars/music notes/hearts as their tips so it's not like some construction site. But everything else around is a desolate wasteland. 2) It does not look like there is a security guard, so you can't ask to take a photo at the front. 3) There are cameras and what looks like motion lights outside (It's at least a $17 million building), so go front-yard urbexing at your own risk. 4) You want a camera with good optical zoom, as there are still many good photo ops from the fence.

Please bring back Lisa Frank! Do it now or in the spring while 90s and retro are a big thing. I miss my Lisa Frank binders so much 😔

I remember having a lot of stuff from Lisa Frank when I was a kid. From stationery sets, to school supplies, bags, stickers, etc. I used to own a lot from this brand and I still remember how creative the designs were with all of the details. I'm 26, and I hope I'll be able to start buying products from them again since they cost a lot more now. The creativity of Lisa Frank's products still amazes me. One of the prettiest brands worth collecting! ♡♡♡

Lol, I actually called her HQ. A few years after that I googled her and found out some terrible things. She grossly mistreated her employees....like its really bad. Also she won't let herself be filmed/photograph (save for the publicity shots in front of her former HQ). She won't show her face, its really fucking weird lol. Her business is pretty much defunct. At first I thought the stories about her were faked....but then I read around more and more and yup, she was bugging the phones, reading employee emails. Her and her douchey ex-husband. The divorce is pretty much what put a nail in that coffin, that and for the longest she just stopped caring about her BILLION dollar a year business.

As a young person I had Lisa Frank Notebooks and Folders. In fact, I just realized from this video, that I still have some Lisa Frank Stickers in my Sticker Album from my tween years. I recognized the Unicorns and Cat on the piano keys:). Lisa Frank"s Art Work is about innocence, beauty, and clean wholesome fun. Heck, I am an Adult and I still love those things:)!

Lots of love from Indiana! Aw, this made me so happy. She looks about how I picture her. I'm currently 32 and have loved her art for most of my life. The farthest back I can recall owning stationary & toys of this stuff is right before I turned 7. In recent years, I've been able to find new folders and little, round badges of Lisa Frank.

I absolutely loved Lisa Frank stickers and stationary when I was little (pffbt, I STILL love it!) Me and my best friend used to spend hours together drawing in our lisa frank coloring books and imagining the lives and stories behind the characters.

This factory is long gone and for sale. Sad that it pretty much closed up right after this video. It’s all over grown and in a very sad state.

MY HERO....!! I still collect LF stuff. I've got hundreds of pieces and thousands of stickers. I can't believe I'm finally hearing her actual voice after all these years. XDD Not that I ever doubted that she was real b/c I had the photos of her, but...wow, haha. You don't know how badly I want to sift through the LF archives and just savor everything. She's got a dream job, that's for sure. I'm still a kid as well, and siss everything I don't have anymore. Bet my fanmail was somewhere in there!

I am 41 years old and still love her work. Being a child of the 80's, I had and still have tons of her artwork on Trapper Keepers, folders, notebooks, stationery..I guess I will never grow too old for her beautiful creations!

I didn't realize her brand went back to the late 70s. That's awesome.

My theory is that it wasnt open to the public because she didn't wanna expose how poorly her emplyees were treated and how she would talk to her assistances. If the factory was open shed have to pretend to treat people respectully during tours
