I really like how Verusa rougly looks like AfroEurasia if Africa was really squished. But like you can sorta make out what could be Greece, Italy, Iberia, and Scandinavia. South Osea also looks sorta Iberian but with Osea being the US then South Osea would I guess be South America

You forgot to mention the two most critical differences Strangereal has from our world: Fighter jets are far, far easier to manufacture, and they can carry far, FAR larger payloads.

Another similarity between Earth and Strangereal, we both mostly use the exact same types of aircraft, right down to their names. (ie. F-4 Phantom, Boeing 747, MiG-29 Fulcrum, Rafale, F-22 Raptor, etc.)

If there's something I don't like about Ace Combat lore is that it very expansive for some nations and completely non existent for others. Things as not having a name, no flag for that nation and especialy the mentioning of multipule wars between Osea and Belka that just say "they had war in the years XXXX to XXXX." with no detail about what happend and if anything chanced. But there's one thing that urks me the most! THOSE BORDERS!! god those borders! Every time I look at Recta's borders I feel this mental agony that can't be described.

I also make my own Novel Story inspired by Ace Combat (Which my story is about Air Combat of course). But with a different Universe and settings with a complete fictional world map, countries, and continent.

I should mention that legacy is a remake of AC2 not air combat

I think another reason why they had to make a fictional world is so that they can tell the story that they want without worrying about real-life countries getting offended over their depiction.

Look, I'm loving this channel's lore content, but I can't help but feel disappointed at the complete lack of reference to there being no Australian continental equivalent (also, we have a Defence Force too!) with the map at 4:33, but moreover, that New Zealand, a country that suffers from a common issue of not even being included on a lot of stylised maps in our world, was completely overlooked yet again, despite having an exact Strangereal facsimile bang in the middle of the Southern Ocean and sticking out like a sore thumb! The poor Kiwis *always* get overlooked!!

Can I just talk about how some parts of Strangereal are literally just taken directly from Earth? New Zealand is exactly the same, and is a part of Antarctia, which is exactly the same as Antarctica. Verusa and Anea are just Europe. Central Asia, and North Africa with some parts broken up and switched around (Russia and the ‘Stans just cut in half, Finland is move down, Britain is moved up, and the rest of Europe is just squished a bit. And then Wellow is literally just Greenland and Iceland. I’m not complaining, I actually think it’s really cool to look at the similarities.

Is there was. A ww1 in strangereal that means a ww2 happened and belka is just Germany which means belka did something wrong

Haven't played ace combat on a while. Always figured it was just earth. I mean a lot of games have fictional countries, but i didn't know there was lore.

I never played any of the Ace combat games. I was bored last summer had no new games to play, already replayed old ones and wanted something new. I remembered I really really enjoyed IL-2 Sturmovik and I’d love to try out a new flight combat. Newer in the sense when the game was released and also during when the game takes place. Well I couldn’t find much on Xbox one as far as flight combat games go (I’d take recommendations please) but I found Ace Combat 7 on gamepass. Tried it out and absolutely loved it. I love games that aren’t just dog fighting. Yes dog fighting is a big aspect but I love other objectives like ground targets. Bomb runs. Intercepting nuclear missiles. It had me hooked and felt like a real pilot. But not just for the gameplay. But because of the word building and story. I really really enjoyed it. I also liked the art style and the graphics. But even though I had no prior context I still enjoyed it. A year later I’m ready for another play through but I want to understand what’s actually going on lol

Ace Combat Assault Horizon Legacy is NOT a remake of Ace Combat 1. It is a Remake of Ace Combat 2. Therefore it is about the Usean coup d'état of 1998, not the Skully Island Incident.

Hey solutus eversol as an i have a question regarding ace combat: Which is the equivalent of Greece in this universe ? I have the question as i have seen a couple of references to Greek mythology and culturein ace combat 6 from the side of Estovakia such as Αιγαίον (agaion) Σταύρος (Stauros) ect. Also the Emmerian flag is Pretty similar to the HAF emblem (not the roundel) . Or even the flag of North point which is similar to the flag that the Kingdom of Greece used to have. Or this just me speculating ,i don't know
