Imagine if Poppt faces calamity Gannon in his BOTW series and he just starts full-hopping nairing.

The first thing that came to my mind after reading this title was: NOT HOPCAT

I really thought he was gonna play Rickles....:(

and here i was thinking my ganon was decent-

I like the fact that you're using visual aids and drawing over top the recording.

You shouldn't replace your Down Air with Up B for Edge Guarding completely because Down Air is still useful for when you don't have enough time to position yourself for an Up B Edge Guard. Another good use for Up B when Edge Guarding is by using it to stop the opponent from going over you & recovering after you Wiff an Aerial off Stage.

Alright, this analysis was very good. I really enjoyed the way you broke things down, didn't really guess or say anything that wasn't there. There's very much a lack of this kind of content or maybe I haven't been looking in the right places but I really enjoyed this video.

A things I learned that you didn't say: If you hit a *landing forward air* on their *shield,* do *up smash.* *weak dash attack* sometimes combos *into up b.*

I also noticed that ganon likes playing the pressure game. Don’t try too much to win neutral as to try to bait your opponent to shielding. Because as we saw, ganon on shield is terrifying

I love these set analysis videos with the facecam and everything and I would really like for you to do one on VoiD because I love Shiek and am trying to main her but... it's taking a lot of work Also, I really hope more BotW videos are coming soon, you motivated me to start the game again and finally finish (I didn't lose much restarting tho, lol)

That Fair Up Smash shield break looks sick. Can’t wait to try that

Ganon messes everybody up tbh hes just slow as a grandpa and a grandpa that can be edge guarded easily

When he jumps off ledge facing out to edge guard with up B he's also giving himself the option to nair, which covers a lot and is a surprisingly good lingering hitbox that can get early kills if you hit someone with no resources

Something I wish was talked more about in character guides and analysis' like this was option coverage. Something like the nair to down-b at 7:50 and pointing out how that down-b covers every option besides jump (i.e. air dodge, mash attack, and do nothing). Same thing with smash attacks at ledge. Just pointing out successful strings and why they worked would be good to see regardless of character.

Ganondorf actually has a few strengths besides hard hitting moves that no-one really talks about like having good Range, good Ledge Trapping (do to his long lasting Nair & big Hitboxes that cover alot of options), good Edge Guarding (do to his long lasting Nair & still being able to catch high Recoveries after committing to a low Edge Guard by using Up B), good Grab game (his Down Throw can combo, his Up B Command Grab can kill, & his Side B Command Grab guarantees him a Tech Chase situation), & good corner pressure (do to his long lasting & big Hitboxes that cover alot of options) as some examples. I'm not trying to say Ganon is a good character because he's not but he does have strengths besides hard hitting moves that no-ne really talk about.

You ought to do more videos like this analyzing worlds best characters. It's really good since you go into detail on moves and even draw on the screen to provide some visual aid. You should do best pokemon trainer, that being I think puppeh, since pokemon trainer is diverse having 3 characters in one and can change their playstyle up easier, like shulk with his monado arts

Basically how to play Ganondorf : - Full hop Nair and Dair in neutral - Fair and Upsmash for the edgeguard - Down B in disadvantage - Up B or Nair out of shield

Ike has a similar up smash to Gannon and I love using it as a ledge guard option. Ike doesn't quite have the shield break power of Gannon but people always underestimate the size of his sword.

Was main captain falcon in SSB64 and dominated. Switched to Ganondorf on the cube, and then project m version. Then didn't play for a while, then main Ganondorf again for SSBU. Cool to see a play style like Rickles that's very different from mine. My Ganondorf is patient and waits for the opponent to make positional and timing mistakes while controlling the pace of the battle. I love surprising people being able to beat them with a character that isn't highly praised.

Forward tilt on ledge also lets you 'jump' over some get up attacks

Neat I had no idea full hop forward air upsmash could be a ganon ledge trap, as a ganon main I am ashmed I never knew this

One of the things rickles does that is a really great option for ganon is when he does nair he fast falls as well to make sure it covers more options. Didn't hear you mention the fact he fast falls so just thought I'd comment it 😊
