Boveda is the way to go regardless of your humidor choice. I work enough at my regular job and don't need to worry or stress about my cigars. Great product 💪

Not true.i got a box of pordomos with super low humidity.45. I put 10 in a humidor with water in two days they were at 55-62. The others in my other humidor a week later were still not smokeable. In my electric humidor i have THREE of these things in it.With a thing of water.i checked my humidity. Said 60… the bovedas are 69. And i kept the temp on 70 and humidity at 70-72. I checked the water. It was empty. So with out water even a 350$ humidor will not keep the advertised humidity.

My first humidor was large Boveda bag 😃 I still use them, and they still outperform my expectations 👍These days they are used for overspill, cigars I no longer love but won't trash, and especially for those pungent kfcs, acids, and Italian cigars (which nobody smokes, apart from me 😂)

Would also add that I keep a few very expensive special cigars in a small bag with its own 8g pack in my main humidor just to make them feel special 😂

I smoked cigars every now and then for years. In the last few years, I have gotten way more in depth. I have two 100 ct and one 20 ct humidors. I thoroughly enjoy working the science behind maintaining the humidification in my humidors. I own a small Handyman Contractor Service and it is relaxing for me to break out the humidors, rotate, restock, and bring out the gallon of distilled water to replenish the hydration pack. I personally feel that boveda takes away the skill of properly maintaining a humidor. My Granddad and Dad have always maintained there humidors the old fashioned way. I get bovedas are an easy way to manage what ever you keep your smoks in, but me personally, using boveda means your smoking to smoke, not enjoy the lifestyle or hobby that it should be, Your taking the easy way out!

When I go on vacation I load up a gallon size freezer ziploc bag with a 60g Boveda pack and bunch of cigars. Been doing this for years. Perfect for a week or so away. Never had a problem. I’m not going to replace what I already have on hand but these bags are an excellent inexpensive travel humidor.

My first humidor was a cigars daily acrylic. Love it gave to a friend he loves it. I have a wooden humidor that is nice used boveda to season it and have no issues with it. I keep a large boveda bag and a small. I use my small exactly how you talked in the video. Grab sticks from my other bag or humidor to take on the go. Golf, work, wedding any occasion honestly. I use Boveda packs in my starter acrylic humidor, and it's ridiculous how rock steady the humidity stays. And I've found they last much longer than advertised, if you aren't going in and out frequently (obviously). So at least for super casual smokers like me, these are worth every penny you pay and then some. What an absolutely awesome interview.

@@therealpropst6252 Of course , I've had it over a year now. The sponge method seems to work better for me though , I just add a couple drops every few weeks. For some reason those packs just don't work in that one , but they work great in the tupperdores. Like I said I've had the same ones in there for 6 months and they hold perfectly 🤔 probably because the wood humidor is not the highest quality , got it from Amazon for around $30 but it holds about 50 cigars so I can't complain too much , I'm thinking maybe I'll get one of the electric ones that Tim was talking about that he said worked good. I need to consolidate my cigars anyway. I've got around 200 or so and they're in 10 separate containers 🤣

I'm brand new to cigars and I just got my first tupperware container I'm using, which is a ProKeeper Small Cereal sized container because it has a great seal, hinge lid, and was the best form factor for what I wanted. I have a boveda pack to put in it and I'm currently 3D printing a platform to put the boveda pack below and cigars on top of. I know plastic isn't the ideal choice for this but it'll have to be fine until I can get some spanish cedar to make the platform with.

I use the small bag to golf or when I go to parties, and the large for if I stumble on a random box or 2 at the b&m that I have to have, yet don’t have room for in my thermoelectric or Tupperwares. I don’t even take them out of the boxes, I just crack the box and wedge a 60g in it to hold the lid slightly open and shove it in the large bag and seal, then stick it on my closet shelf

Storing cigars with a Boveda is cool, but nothing compares to a stick lit right from the brick and mortars humidor. Just something about the constant humidification and air circulation makes the cigar burn and taste so much better.

I have the extra large Boveda bag which keeps a ton of drew estate cheaper smokes for the golf course or to throw at new smokers. For my nicer cigars, I still haven’t invested in a nicer humidor because to be honest the air tight cylindrical acrylic/plastic cases have worked well for years now. I put some cedar paper in there + a Boveda and the hygrometer shows a perfectly steady humidity.

I bought a cheap desktop humidor that just wasn’t working so I switched to an air tight Tupperware..my Govee reads around 73-74% with a 69% boveda pack. I want to get it a little lower though…could this just be my Govee needs calibrating or should I switch to a 65% pack?

Funny when I first got into cigars I went to my local Cigar shop and I asked I want to start a cigar collection and he gave me 69% boveda and a hefty Ziploc bag with 10 cigars, well I bought the cigar, but I believe he gave me a good price because I was a beginner. Now after 7 years of smoking cigars I have a great humidor that holds 200 cigars and 2 acrylic Boveda humidors that hold about 70 cigars each. I also learned a lot by Tim cigars Daily and other RU-vidrs and going to cigar lounges. My friends call me the cigar aficionado that I am far from. I just like to enjoy a cigar like everyone else and want to help anyone who is serious about cigars like they helped me.

I recharge mine propped up on a block in a container with distilled water in the bottom (not immersed in water). 3-4 days and they resorb moisture just like boveda claims they do. Not buying new 60gm packs every year. I figure charging them 5 times gets me a couple years and should not degrade their performance. After that I’ll buy some new ones.

My bovada 60 gram packs have lasted since November 2020 in Tupperware, they actually still feel like they did on day 1, which is simply amazing. The smaller ones like the 8g ones you get with your orders etc do dry out, but the 60’s seem like they’ll last forever in Tupperware/ acrylic. I’m curious to find out how the 120’s would last, btw you’re just wasting money using traditional style humidors having to replace them every few months, which happened to me trying out the 120’s in a cedar humidor.

SCIENCE!!! I have a buddy, a fellow cigar enthusiast, who has a beautiful box for storing his cigars. However, the hinge is such that the box doesn't seal well. This would be perfect! He can put his cigars in a Boveda bag _inside_ the box. That way the box still decorates the room well, _and_ the cigars inside are properly maintained. Can't wait to tell him.

The only caveat to this is what I find as important as the correct humidity level which is the correct temperature level. I keep my thermoelectric humidor at 70° and 69% humidity. It’s the same every day regardless of what the temperature in my house is. I do use Bovedas in it to maintain the humidity level. I would NEVER store cigars in my golf bag in a ziplock with a Boveda over the winter in my garage. I think these bags are best for maybe putting a few cigars in to go out or maybe a weekend trip. Storing cigars for a year in just a bag with a Boveda? Not for me.

If you pack your cigars in a hard case to travel by plane, and don’t have the ability to control the vacuum of that box, all of the moisture in the Cigars can be pulled out, and your cigars could be ruined. My question is, with a Boveda cigar pack doI run the same risk when flying?
