I've seen the trilogy multiple times and it wasn't until this video it clicked me. Hot Fuzz had Dalton, this movie had Brosnan. Is there a Bond hidden somewhere in Shaun of the Dead???

I don't know Czech, but in russian 'robotnic' doesn't mean 'slave'. It means 'worker'. Slave will be 'rab'.

"Robotnik" in Czech was someone who occasionally had to do unfree labour. Not exactly a slave but kinda close to it.

the word robot does not originate from the Czech language but the Russian. Although it was a Czech writer, Karel Capek who used introduced it in its form used today.

Karel Čapek (and his brother) based it off a word "robota" which is an old Czech term for unfree labour. Variations of the word "robota" were also being used in various other Slavic languages (not only Russian or Czech).

I heard since this film had a frankly inhuman amount of "drinking" in it, they used colored water with cream soda for the froth! They said even drinking apple juice in the quantity they needed for different scenes would take its toll on the actors eventually because of the sugar.

According to the trivia in the "special features", Frost claimed the shots he drank were real shots but they weren't, it was just water. No doubt the beer wasn't any different.
