Don't know why everyone is complaining about how this isn't the hardest game, it doesn't exactly matter. They beat a pretty hard game and I'm impressed. I can't even get past the third level

This is not fake, the dots have to hit the red part of the square to die, they can touch the outline of the square without dying.

The nickname is from a game called "Sacrifice", released in 2000, which was a very innovative mix of genres with stunning (at the time, but still pleasant to the eye) graphics. "Hachimen" was one of the opponents you faced during the campaign. Brilliant and underrated game that I'd recommend to anyone.

Just when you become comfortable, not having heard it for many years, 009 Sound System pokes its ravenous little head out of the sand just to remind you that it hasn't forgotten about you and how to crawl up under your epidermis and "boa constrictor" your every last nerve. I beat the game in record time. For taking the longest to be exact. Here is my record: (I added up the time I played as a whole so this is NOT in a sequence) 8 hours, 42 minutes, 28 seconds. Deaths: 829.

I played this last night for like 4.5 hours and got to level 26. I could not beat that darn level. Watching you beat all of these levels with ease proved to me how much of a baller you are. I was also amazed to look back at these levels and think, "How the heck did I manage to get passed these." By watching this, I actually gained some self-respect too. 26/30 isn't beating the game, but I'm damn impressed with myself. Not everyone can be on your level. Wow, you're good.

The taunts in between are hilarious!! They remind me of the sense of humor used in Valve's Portal, with Glados always saying things like them to the player!

I bet this guy's favorite game is Battletoads.

Level 8: Go down until an enemy blocks you from going down and go up and when the enemy leaves go down. When you get the coin run to the green back up. Right then reach out quick then go to bottom then touch green. Level 12: REACH OUT AND GO UP then go to the green the get the coin. Don't hit the blue. Follow the enemy down and get to green carefully. Level 16: Move when your opportunity comes. Level 20: Grab a coin or go to another safe spot quick but take your chance. Level 25: Back and fourth then around then back and fourth. Level 27: Bottom then top.

I don't even wanna know how long you played to remeber all the tricks. I got dizzy after just a few levels 😂

Wow, i beat it in 0 death as well in 2011, after a few weeks of training during school hours, but i didnt know this game was so famous, and at this time i would have never imagined that finishing it in 0 death had the potential to make 13M views on youtube :D Congrats tho !

They make this look so easy yet it's so hard.

I read through around 150 comments and no one mentions what I am about to. I'm curious, why is your mouse pointer moving around like that? Not calling fake, but if someone edited the video and forgot about the pointer it could look something like that.

Love how on top of the frustrating levels the narrator continues making disparaging/pretentious comments before every level (the one before #28 was so evil, i almost choked from laughing so hard). Not a game I'd want to play, but sure is fun to watch!

yes thats correct it is slightly better to minimize the amount of distance and reaction time for controls, however some people prefer one over the other, and its not impossible to do the same with either. its like winning a cs tournament with a crt vs 144hz led its still your skills that will make u win not the 1-2ms latency increase

I only completed it on my older(not-so-good) computer, the slower freamerate helped me understand the patterns and better avoid them.

I was thinking about this game like 2-3 days ago for some reason, but I didn't remember its name. So I thought I'd never find it again. Its been years since I tried it (and I was never any good either lol). Then today I searched youtube for a completely unrelated Steam issue, and hey there it was! Oh and awesome playing!

@Hachimen (part 3) Out of curiosity I did a test to see how many times I could simply move my hand from being in position on the arrow keys to being able to click the left button mouse (a distance of 10 inches) in ten seconds. I did 14 sloppily. Doubled for the back and forth make 28 ten-inch trips, simply to be in place with no cursor pointing or clicking. Each trip is therefore 35/100 of a second. This is slightly more than the second tip screen and WAY more than the first.

I finally figured out how to get Cosmo to the last springboard in level 10 of part 2 with a full set of health bars and 6 bombs left. It only took me 26 years. Now I'm looking for more challenges.

Dunno why this is called "world's hardest game", it's just memorizing patterns. Set aside a week or two and several hours a day, and you're good. That's not to say this isn't impressive that you had the dedication to do so, nice job.

The black border around the box is unaffected by hits. The red zone is the only area that registers a hit (make sense?). Look up the term "hit box" in reference to shoot'em up games.

Reminds me of Touhou...I love how simple the graphics look in it along with the controls themselves. I doubt you need more than something that lets you move. (analog stick; mouse; arrow keys; a,w,s,d; arrow pad and 8,4,6,2)

Yeah. Hard is defined by (in my book) : 1. Massive consistency of 'enemies' (as you said, Touhou) 2. High number of collectibles, which you go through hell and back to get (180 emblems in SA2/B, 120 stars Mario 64... etc) 3. Coordination and skill-based levels (again, Touhou)

Used to play this game by mouse, that was difficult. The player would have used keyboard to play, it made the game a lot easier because of steady speed.

Oh , and after that, lets specifi a day when we can do couple of skirmishes or soul gatherings or anything ( of course if you can)

Blackspy does know what he's talking about. The question was that if it was part of the game and on purpose that the tip only flashes for half a second. Blackspy was telling him that that's not part of the game, and you can see it for however long you want before clicking "GO" when you are playing it.

You must be a freaking expert in danmaku/bullet hell games...

Actually, I played the World's Easiest Game (cause I'm a loser like that) and it's exactly this game, but without the blue dots. Something that I found out was that just barely getting close or grazing the edge of a green square progresses you to the next level, so he very well could have made it.

simple. You cover up the death counter with a black box then put 0 in white text as an overlay. This can be done in ANY video editing software.
