Except the counterfeit manufacturers gotta make sure the quality isn’t TOO good because then it looks too different and becomes easy to call out. Which is important because despite all the talk about quality, they know that the #1 priority of counterfeit consumers is deception.
Kinda, but reps contributed to the downfall of the sneaker community. The amount of reps going around nowadays make it harder to find a real pair which therefore makes the shoe more valuable
@@ButterLover64 it definitely doesn’t make a real pair more valuable than it would have been otherwise, prices of shoes have been tanking thanks to the reps. Makes people realize they can get shoes that are nearly identical for pennys on the dollar making the real pair seem less valuable.

@@ButterLover64reps have only exploded because terrible resellers ramped up the price shoes get bought by people then hordes and resold when the demand is the highest giving the fact that shoes at their retail price is already 2x and more times the manufacturer price gives even more of a reason tell sellers to stop scamming and tell resellers the same
I never actually thought of the sellers who got away with the verification passing. Must've been a great feeling. Yea it's scammy and you're screwing someone over but in the process sometime in the future companies will step up their game making it harder for the fakes

its because resellers make it hard to get authentic sneakers by making them unbelievably so expensive, so people get reps for very low price with the same amount of quality and details with the authentic ones sometimes even better.
Im ok with fakes, i get it sneakers are expensive. But when you sell them as reals and try to scam people is where I draw the line. If you do this just know you are a terrible person and people lose 100s of dollars because of you. This happened to me and my best freind

I don’t usually buy sneakers off StockX but as of November 2023 they were selling just below retail and I almost bought them. But Nike had just restocked them so I decided to get them directly from Nike for this very reason. I wanted peace of mind knowing they were real even though I could’ve got them cheaper 😅
I tried to order some Barkley posites and stock x canceled my order bc they were sent fakes. Shout out to stock x for not letting someone sell me fakes.

Yeah true. If you’re looking for real pairs I suggest never buying off kijiji or fb marketplace and stuff like that, people scam alot on their. Also buying from retail stores have ZERO risk so that’s always a good option.
I only ever think I had fake when I got some Toro 4s, legit checked them and everything, but ended up selling them anyways cause I couldn't shake the feeling
