The wagons of the world's steepest funicular railway were transported in October 2017 from the assembly hall in Küssnacht am Rigi to the valley station in Schwyz. The size of the railway wagons required a very special route selection for the transport with a long detour via Cham, Albis, Hirzel, Samstagern, Schindellegi, Rothenthurm, Sattel, Schwyz and Ibach. One wagon is 22.32m long, 3m wide, 4.54m high and weighs 26.72 tonnes.
