The tower in Milan is called "Torre Velasca"This building is absurd for two reasons: the unbelievable ugliness and the fact that they put it in the list of buildings with cultural relevance.. Apparently it is one of the few example in Italy of" post-rational brutalist architecture "😂😂

The 1984 building is real, Senate House, Bloomsbury, London. Part of the university of London. My PhD thesis is in there. 😮

Im a bit late to the party, but this reminds me of Thomasson or Thomassonism, its pretty interesting story about baseball player that went to japan to play but for some reason there was 0 use of his skill, soooo some useless and redundant things in architecture are named after him :D

I unironically really like this building, Brutalist architecture is super cool and this is one of the best examples of it I've seen. I don't think it belongs in an ''architectural falures'' video, because it clearly does what it wants to do expertly. It's imposing, menacing and absolutely spine-chilling.
