When I saw that commercial with the dog, it made me hyper-aware of the high-kill shelters and what they do to those innocent pups. And I was NOT okay for the rest of this. But it's been years now...And I'm still not okay when I see this. I'm gonna go play with my dog right now. To the detriment of my epidermic integrity...(love that dog but she is way too hyper sometimes.)

20:52 - Song of the South is a very old (1946) Disney movie that they like to pretend doesn't exist. It was about post-slavery America where an older black man named Uncle Remus entertained kids with stories of Br'er Fox, Br'er Bear, and Br'er Rabbit (with short animated sequences of said characters), but is seen as racially insensitive for the live action segments as well as one of the animated segments.

"Why throw this much money into a lavish production for crumpets?" Um, dude? That's kind of the joke! There's a whole series of these Warburtons ads out there with appearances from Robert De Nero, Sylvester Stallone, and FREAKING SNOOP DOGG! And also Kevin Bacon (but he's in literally everything so that probably doesn't count). The whole joke behind these ads is that they're selling freaking bread with huge high-budget Hollywood production values. I guess Nostalgia Critic didn't get the memo? I think the RSPCA ad got banned, for what it's worth.

A Clockwork Orange was a film directed by Stanley Kubrick, the guy who directed The Shining. It's about the leader of a small gang that enjoys committing violent acts, his fall from so-called-grace, the terrors that government can commit on the citizenry, and how human evil cannot truly be forced out of a person. It also includes this strange pseudo-slang that's barely understandable edit: btw, the "well you failed miserably!" line is actually from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. That film had no right to be as good as it was, but I'm grateful for it

Funny that Nostalgia Critic mentioned the Martians from "Mars Attacks" because that's one of the next Nostalgia Critic videos you need to check out! But also keep watching his commercial specials because they get even crazier. And I really enjoyed your reactions to these particular commercials.

Woo! Happy to be back to these! Yes, you are correct that you're still in order. Yes, a common Yoshi usage (and running joke, at this point) is sacrificing Yoshi down a pit to get some extra air. Oh yeah! It was referenced in Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged when Pharaoh ditches the horse into a canyon as he's facing against Raphael. 20:40 Judge Claude Frollo is the main villain of Hunchback of Notre Dame. Yes, his entire motivation was lusting after a 15 year old girl (even though she looks to be in her 20s in the movie). Following that, Diesel Weasel already covered what Song of the South was...it has aged, very very poorly. Though, you may have heard of one of it's song, "Zip-a-doo-da, Zip-a-dee-yay." 21:30 OK! So, this is Tiger Electronics. They made SOOOOO many of these crappy little things, and they're all just like this. I could go into detail, but I see this as a great opportunity to promote another potential reaction. Angry Video Game Nerd, who is a reviewer that, back when they both started, got compared to Nostalgia Critic a lot and vice versa. They're great friends now and love to collaborate if ever given the chance. That said, I'll throw out the recommendation of AVGN's review of Tiger Electronics. There's a whole episode for them and it's a great one, you can start with. I will say, this commercial review is in my top 3, just cause I love how dark it goes.

Just pointing out with the muppet ad, "the monster" eating the rabbit (or other small muppets) was actually not special or uncommon at all back then. it was like a reocurring gag in the muppet show where they had a skit about a quiz show where the loser would get eaten by a monster. Then again, you cant expect even the nostalgia critique to know everything all the time.

My earliest recollection of the "Got milk?" slogan is from the point and click game "Spy Fox in: Dry Cereal", made by Humongous entertainment, the same geniuses behind Pajama Sam. In the plot of that game the villain, William the Kid (a goat) kidnaps all the world's dairy cows, and plans to flood the world with their spoiled milk using a rocket ship in the shape of a milk carton, so that the world would hate cow's milk and have to use goat's milk products instead. One of the first spoken lines in the game is William saying "Got milk? Not anymore." And I played through that game so many times as a child that the line is engrained deep in my memory. I absolutely loved that game as a kid.

Before watching the video I want to guess what the title is referring to. I’m guessing either that ice cream commercial where a man made of ice cream was eating himself with a spoon while staring straight at the camera, or that commercial where these kids wanted a puppy but got bored so the dad put the puppy in a bag and threw it in the river. So I lost. Though the fact we don’t know whether the dog gets shot or not somehow makes it just as horrifying.

For your comment on the milk commercial: Not all fat is bad for you. The human body cannot digest meat without fat, so an entirely fat-free diet would be an issue but fortunately meat always contains at least some fat no matter what.
