Yeah, when the doctors and radiologists start getting excited over your breaks and saying things like, “...very interesting.”, you know it’s bad. Sorry, man. That’s a real bummer. I just started with EUC’s this spring. An MTen3, then upgraded to an S18. I absolutely love mine and I’ve had no issues to date, but I’m 40 and honestly, I have very little desire for speed or tricks. 25 - 28mph is plenty for me, and that greatly reduces the risk of cut outs. Speedy recovery I hope, man.

Probably depends on where you live exactly and where you plan to use it. My experience so far is that the Police dont care at all. As long as you not acting daft on it then you should have no problems. Also they are in the process of becoming legal. More and more cities are implimenting rentals and with the whole COVID thing its probs safer to use an e scooter than get on the bus 👍

@@SlammDunkProductions Yeah the stator company has been tweeting charts Arguing that micro Mobility is getting a huge boost From the pandemic But on the other hand The automobile industry has Seduced many Transit operators into spending Decades of capital Buying insane flammable electric buses 4 ridiculously inflated prices Based upon how much they can save over diesel Which is no metric To make such an investment diesel is obsolete The question is how much of the transit capital should be going towards micro Mobility And if you are going to have any large engines Obviously they should be powered by liquefied nitrogen Not electrons ! General Electric makes a 5 million watt liquid nitrogen turbine But all that is is a motor connected to an alternator Or to be more precise a turbine That uses the potential energy In liquefied air As catalyzed by free atmospheric Heat . Unlimited heat of the highest quality is available A couple kilometers below the ocean Which is a fraction of the typical mining depth for copper . I am going to be elected to the United States Senate in 2 years So as to be heard about these issues And decades ago I studied the philosophy And History of Science Full time at the University of Chicago for nearly a decade Without stopping since! The free-market can be a cancer Or it can be our savior it depends upon Democratic regulation . There is nothing worse than unbridled Corruption With General Electric Not Having learned their lesson of yesteryear for multiple felony Turbine fraud convictions . The United Kingdom Has partnered with General Electric in the latest round Of technological turbine fraud

Don't give up on the EUCs man. This was a super unlucky accident. Scooters are more dangerous. I broke my arm on an escooter thanks to a small bump and have never gone back to riding one after getting an EUC. After thousands of kms riding EUCs I can definitely say that they're safer. And EUCs become safer and safer as you get better at riding them. After a few months it feels as safe as running.

@@SlammDunkProductions You should send your video and a letter to the stator billionaire He is funding the development of that scooter which is billed for Public Health. The latest video they tweeted shows a doing 30 miles per hour Without it seeming to be going faster than walking. All of the engineers and safety standards are automotive grade It's a bit pricey for a scooter that has a controller limiting the speed to that safe speed when it is built to do 80 But it won an award for its design And the marketing lady made an idiot proof with crown tires Greatly or wrongly. I think that You can rig something so that you can steer it with your hips Freeing up both of your arms And you should be able to have a backpack That is like those Avalanche Protection models Preventing Gravity from taking you into the Grinder until you have Lost your velocity You know it's shoots a rocket up and then drops the parachute Winching you halfway up In just a few milliseconds! That experience of falling at a high speed where you go from blissful Apparent motion Bless To this extraordinary blurring Flurry of impact and then the Stillness comes . I would Gladly give up operating it under power lines in order to be guaranteed Such a parachuting Plan B For coming to a stop It's the explosive Pogo stick passing for an ordinary stator steering column Except you hang on to the steering in order to get up off the Earth You know like a fighter pilot has an ejection seat ?

@@SlammDunkProductions I actually fell asleep during the middle of the video because I turn the screen off To just enjoy the music in one ear As I'm going to watch the entire thing again to enjoy the music in both ears . You don't need to have a different healthcare system in order to have a credit card With which you could have Summons A helicopter Which will soon of course come in the form of a autonomous drone Leaving the medic to take care of the patient As the air ambulance can fly itself. I am For Health Care reform But I appreciate medical schools rejecting applicants Not resulting in those applicants practicing on even fellow minorities. I support public policy like in Massachusetts Where if an adult caregiving child Of a Parent checks their Charge into long-term care They get a bill and can certainly So whoever is responsible if it's not them. It seems that my own mother has landed in a nursing home After being abducted sometime ago from my Care by her daughter And I was off to a running start this Monday the 1st Monday I have learned about this But of course it is a holiday and there has not yet been a Tuesday with my knowledge . While our mother is well into her 90s We the family have plenty of money to take care of her Even if my sister will be drained just reimbursing For the assets that she is trying to shed without me able to retain the equity Lost precisely for such a crisis . Yes that's right in America In America if you are concerned about medical catastrophe You Try to waste all of the life savings Or else you risk them being Spent staying off of welfare . That's the logic of my Twisted Sister On her way to the row . Man Don't need diaper changing machines as much of course We are already plumbed Yet the catheter industry Took its sweet time evolving Because the insurance was not disruptive enough . That's an argument for more built-in disruption Not laugh and I recommend you put some Springs on your shoes You explore the analog Super pogo stick life a bit and understand that the pogo stick can be electrified But I have not yet seen in electrified pogo stick ? It seems like you can wrap up electromagnet coil around the shaft And recover The energy into a supercapacitor Right ? they other guy with the wobble and fell is Marty Beck - one of the worlds greatest riders - and even he got the wobbles, it can happen on any make of wheel, it wasn't the pads or the forward stance that caused your accident, being so far forward meant you couldn't slow down but it didn't cause the wobble. I got a lump the size of a golf ball on my shin - mucho wincing pain - it took 7 weeks before i could walk properly. It could be tyre pressure, road surface, track line, speed, posture and any combination of those that start a wobble and the inevitable crash. I set my alert to 12mph and just cruise round the parks. it's soo easy to find yourself north of 20mph (which is pretty scary even for a seasoned skier). All the best, take care - fully body and shin shields etc. good job you had a good helmet!a

EUCs are safer than escooters and eskateboards thanks to the large tyre. This guy just had a freak accident. I broke my arm on an escooter after 1500km of riding because of a tiny little bump. Now I've been riding EUCs for 3000kms and will NEVER go back to a scooter. I've gone over countless bumps and massive potholes that would have certainly sent a scooter front flipping into the ground in spectacular fashion. And most of the time when you fall from an EUC it's an easy fall because you don't have anything around you such as the steel pole on a scooter.

Hopefully it will give other new riders pause for thought as falls are guaranteed when riding an EUC. While confidence is essential when learning, trying to do too much too soon can lead to disaster. I'm still holding up and doing stretches to ease the pain.

I did mention our move near the end of the video. Just said that we had to cancel the move! 😞 With Rohanie on Maternity and me not being able to work for a while it was too risky for us. Just financially we may have run into difficulty. It's ok though, we ended up coming up to Scotland to spend a few months with family over Xmas....cheap rent (free) and support for the pregnant wifey 👍 we can think about moving back into a better place early next year hopefully 🙏 I left the Wheel in Newcastle with a view to collecting it once I'm back on form. Really appreciate the offer of help David that's kind of you mate 🙏 glad you enjoyed the video it wasn't easy doing a one handed edit 😆 hoping to get something up before Xmas mate 🤞 catch u real soon 🙂❤️

Is this your first wheel? I wish you had made a video just about putting pads on because you should NEVER EVER EVER put your feet like that. My god man. That's like removing the brakes from your car to make more trunk space. LOL. Hope your doing alright now. Also, I wouldn't mod a new wheel or your first wheel. Get to learn what you purchased and then decided how to improve it. I've never used modded pads and now understand how the wheels grip and how to improve that. Also, cruise at 25mph (40 kph); it's fast enough and you have better reaction time. Also, the way to get out of the wobbles 100% of the time is to cut left or cut right. This will throw the weight of the wheel to one side and you regain control of the wheel. You're not a rider until you've had your first wipe out, but you had about 5 wipe outs with that one. Ouch. Don't let it stop you, though. Buy better gear and start slow. There's no need for speed when learning how to ride. I learned on a much slower wheel (IPS60) that only went up to 20kph and that's what I would recommend until you understand how the battery functions, voltage sag, cold temps and such. Like an automobile, there is much to learn, but soon it becomes second nature and you stop riding and start gliding. =8-Þ
@SlammDunkProductions
@SlammDunkProductions 3 года назад
yeah i had no interest in going fast, honest i didnt...Simply trying to reach the pads at the front and by doing so didnt even think about my feet being too far forward to tilt back/brake....Was a proper 'brain fart' moment under the worst circumstances 😔 Live n Learn they say, but damn i hate myself for how stupid it was. I wil be trying to overcome the shattered convidence this year now that the awful weather has gone. I appreciate your words and agree with everything you say 100%. yes this is my first wheel. i knew it wasnt thew most beginner friendly but thought it was an investment you know. im not one of those boy racer types that need to go fast (or id got a faster wheel) just liked the idea of the suspension for doing easy going country trails or bike routes. See how it goes, the wife still nags at me to sell it! 🙄

Hey dude, very sorry this happened to you. My S-18 is on order so thanks for clearing up what cause the fall. At first I thought it was going to be because you were riding thru wet leaves and that maybe it slipped out from underneath you, but at the end you indicated it was due to foot placement because of the pads. I will not be getting any pads for mine. I also have been wondering recently whether pads contribute to accidents in general by making people go to faster using the wheel in a way different from what does designers intended. Glad you're on the road to recovery.

Yeah cheers mate I really appreciate that but in all honesty it really was down to a moment of stupidity. Like if I had thought for a few seconds longer I would have said to myself "no don't stand like that" but off I went 😞 ...I think because I'm 6ft2 really skinny it's just harder for me to reach the pads and yeah I wish I never bothered with them...I was actually getting the hang of things and growing a decent amount of confidence until I put those pads on and ruined my day. But hey I guess some experienced guys and girls will tell you it's all down to my mistake and the pads are great!? yeah it's gonna take a while to get that confidence back for sure. It's always gonna be on my mind. Tsk tsk me! 🙄 Absolutely fantastic wheel though, no complaints with it at all. Don't regret the purchase of the wheel it's a beautiful machine. @@SlammDunkProductions new tires are likely to be unbalanced. Sometimes you have to reduce pressure and reseat the bead or squeeze out the inner tube to get it spinning without wobbles. I broke my arm on an electric scooter thanks to a tiny bump. Now I've been riding EUCs (Sherman and KS16x) for 3000km and I can tell you that theyr'e much much safer. Haven't hurt myself even through all my learning falls. This guy was super unlucky for breaking his arm. EUCs can handle massive potholes, bumps and debris thanks to the large tyre. And if you come off you don't have a big angry metal pole right in your face. But you will rarely come off when you get good at riding them, unless you're doing tricks.
