Worked out great for me off course i’d never have anyone like kisaki join me as a game traveling companion that’s why i’m not dead playing mmo’s & other video games
Well I mean it is a story that involves time travel and we have seen characters even the same characters die even more than once in certain timelines. I kinda knew it would turn out like this but I’m not mad at it.
It is the ending bruh because the writer would probably do something like this then why would takemitcho be traveling in time again and again just for the sake of making everything right? So finally takemitchi made it
I know im late but the ending was so rushed and if i knew that this wouldve happened, I definitely wouldnt of wasted hours on my life reading 276 chapters for it to all be deleted in one chapter 💀
That's the goal of Takemichi, but shouldn't be the goal of the story. The ending is basically just "if Mikey's brother dies then Mikey's doomed to spiral into darkness and tragically die". But we had so much development, so many instances where it was proved it could be changed. Lives could be changed. But no. Everything has to be an utopia for them to be happy. It's childish
Well to be fair, in a story that involves time travel there is pretty much no such thing as a bittersweet ending. And honestly, I’m not mad at this. It makes sense because this was Takemichi’s goal. It does feel a little rushed but I think it’s just because it’s the second to last chapter. The anime MIGHT probably explain it more.
Not really, the characters are literally still the same and still go through the same (well similar) events but this time Takemichi and Mikey know what to do to avoid the bullshit.
@@jahhun676 really? If they evoid all the bullshit so they probably fix slot of thieres. And the time line is so different they are basically new people.
@@jahhun676 That's literally bullshit, they don't go through the same events at all. Most things were spurred on by Kisaki which wouldn't happen if he was a good guy. In fact, why is he a good guy? Did he just forget about Hina or something? Or what? Why is Hanma there? Hanma is literally insane and only liked Kisaki because he was interesting with what he did. Why are Takemitchy and Chifuyu even close if they didn't have to go through everything they did together? Why tf is South a good guy now and not literally insane and Broken with dark impulses? How did anything from the current timeline change that? Why are Inupi and Koko just friendly with everyone and Takemitchy? This ending makes 0 sense
Chifuyu actually retained memories of the main timeline so I wouldn’t be surprised if other characters did too. I just wished we got to see how events played out in the new timeline since Kisaki isn’t the one pulling strings anymore and he’s the cause of everything bad in the first 3 arcs
Crazy the cause was a curse all this time. I don't think the character development was wasted though. It was to help make and build Takemichi's character.
True, but it still hurts to see everyone else lose theirs. It definitely makes sense, but still feel a like a cheat. Also, the curse thing I never liked. Felt like it made the series a bit too mystical, and that the time travel stuff was more than enough. It also made Mikey’s character feel more redundant, turning him from a person being eaten alive by their inner nature to basically a good dude getting possessed by evil at random.
The author said he was rushed as he had to meet a deadline. Being a mangaka isn’t an easy job as they have many time constraints and big wig’s calling the shots
I personally don't think the ending was worst cuz it was kinda predecided..From the beginning Takemichi was trying to save everyone and finally he did that..
Yes he was trying to save everyone but but the deaths that happened along the way made sense. This ending could have been amazing but it just feels lazy and rushed
Yeah I agree it was kind of disappointing that nobody else would remember everything they went through and what Takemichi meant to them. After Draken got killed off, I had a feeling the ending would look like this and as much as I love a happy ending where my faves are alive and well, it’s still really frustrating 😕
@@spark6306 I legit said in my comment that I saw this coming💀 like yeah it was pretty obvious that that’s how it would turn out with this kind of trope but I was hoping it would be more unique yk
The ending made me cry because like I love Tokyo revengers and all the times it has brought me joy will now come to an end. Tokyo revengers is an amazing story about friendship and persistence and your right all the character development and all the deaths just meant nothing in the end like you could have a whole different story with just the ending like the ending was made in like 10 minutes broski
It was so rushed and everybody’s just friends now like we’re is all the drama😭😭😭????!!!!so unrealistic it doesn’t feel like Tokyo revengers now it’s kinda like Mikey and takamichi going back in time just changed everybody’s personality?like even HANMA and KISAKI are acting right now!like I said it’s so unrealistic
This is just lazy. I haven't complained once since the manga started but this is just sad man. I mean don't get me wrong I love the fact that everyone lives but the characters we grew to love don't matter anymore.
How do they not matter anymore? I’m not getting this, the whole point was the save them and make a better timeline right? I kinda knew that this was where the story was going the moment Takemichi was back all the way as a kid. Nothing really changed about the characters except for Takemichi and Mikey who both been through the bullshit of the series and were basically able to avoid it by interacting with said characters and fixing their problems. The chapter does feel rushed but that’s how it sometimes be with the second to last chapter, maybe the anime may go into more explanation. In the end I do not see anyones character being wasted here one bit.
@@jahhun676 Don't worry this type of guys just have to give hate ..And Make themselves feels superior .. whole TR point was to make a Better Ending for Takemitchy and Mikey ..And Now They get it but people will always cry lol..
@@maryamsaid2575 World Doesn't Revolve Around u and ur thinking bruh ... Whole Point of Tokyo Revengers was to get A Happy Timeline ..If Mikey have died again Takemitchy would have gone in past again.. That's simple
For those who think the character development and bonds were wasted….. If none of those bonds formed would Takemitchy and Mikey been able to save everyone in the end? No? Then those bonds weren’t wasted they just culminated into the event that helped everyone.
I think the character devolpment was very good and important because it shows that everything we do will changes somebody and the way they will evolve. Like Kisaki or Mikey but Mikey was the counterpart to this, at was him even if u want to change the things around him if ure the problem u can change everything around them, but in the end its you and not a gang or stuff like this. Kazutora was one of my favorites even if Baji is alive in the ending but we saw Kazutora learning from his mistakes and first of all he was psychopath and dead after the first war, but after Takemitchy steped in and stopped Mikey. Kazutora then had the chance to become the one who did very much to solve all of this and even saved Chifuyu and Takemitchy. Even if someone did something bad there is a story why he did it and he can become a better person if he works on himself.
my headcannon for the ending is this: takemichi is imaging this all happening after getting stabbed, his happy ending that he wanted badly. but what took place is mikey crying over his body contemplating to kill himself but senju stopped him acting as support to stop his dark impulse. After senju talk no jutsu him he finally committed to change in order to honor his friend and his sacrifice. It's bittersweet since mikey changed, and hina survived but at what cost? It took takemichi and draken sacriface in order to save mikey, I know this is a reach but the ending felt too rushed and this fit better with tokyo revenger theme.
IKR! It's so bittersweet T_T they got the perfect ending, but I just can't help but feel like we lost everyone. It almost feels like they died, and this isn't really them. Chifuyu isn't bsf with Takemichi anymore :( because Baji is still alive. Idk, I feel like I should be happy but instead I feel empty.
I liked this ending because when i first watched this takemichi really wanted to be a hero that saved everyone and lives that person and from the beginning of the series it was save one person at a time and i do like this ending was because he was able to understand everyone’s problems and tragedies and prevented them from going down there dark paths but i do feel there should be one death but at the same time that person wouldn’t live the 2nd chance at life like everyone else was given
I didn't mind the ending the only thing that bothered me was kisaki not being a time traveler 😂 idk why n the explanation that they gave was just oh he was smart that's why takemichis plans failed everytime
Right i think Kisaki is at least have a connection with the timeleaper and then on the final arc there be the real 2 timeleaper battle that not happens in tenjiku arc
Idk I actually liked it…? Kisaki not even having special abilities like Takemichi made him a even scarier antagonist cuz he really did all this simply through his brains and nothing else.
I loved the ending. The time leap ability twist with shinichiro was cool. Wanting to save Mikey was a beautiful plot as it made sense, he was the last piece of the puzzle. Also loved the end as it was the best way to give everyone a beautiful clear path and destiny in all there lives.
I mean it’s kinda implied they do remember the second timeline, at least Chifuyu definitely does. People are just trying to find things to complain about IMO, it’s a fine ending albeit rushed
Hey, in not a bot.i don't care how others review the ending. That being said, this feels cheap. Literally every other time leap show that I've ever seen doesn't end like this. Normally it's the main guy offing himself to save everyone. I recently watched this ending and felt like it was missing something. Sure i want takamichi to ultimately prevail but not like this. I'm like one chapter it's like "well just get everybody to be our friends" then it works.
i dont like how everyone is complaining about the ending like yall complain when people die yall complain when people live. i like the ending its so rare to get a good ending its always bittersweet or just sad or happy but with lots of death like come one just cause an anime has a good good ending doesnt mean yall need to hate on it. if you dont like it dont watch it anymore its not like anyone is making you
I don’t know if u read manga properly but chifuyu had his memories even new timeline so we can say that everyone have memories of their different timeline version.
How did they fundamentally change peoples core personality....like how did Takamichi convince Kasaki not to be a yandere simp! How did they get South to be less homicidal! It makes no sense! South wasn't even in Japan when he became a maniac!
You make a good point, but he saved everyone. I like the ending. I was also expecting a bitter sweet ending though. Also, I literally said in my head “Finally future where Mikey isn’t gang banging”. Him being a motor racer is awesome. Edit: Looking back, I still don’t mind the ending, but it definitely does seem rushed.
This made me cry but its also the worst thing ever SO HIS FRIENDSHIP WITH HIS VICE CAPTAIN WAS NOTHING THEN,HE LITERALLY SPENT YEARS WITH HIM GOING THROUGHOUT TIME HAD PLANS WATCHED HIM DIE SO EVERYTHING WAS MEANINGFUL SINCE HE WENT THAT FAR BACK IN TIME
Im happy but all the shit we went thru all the pain the hype the fights its all over and its a happy ending Man all the god dahm deaths plots kills for this man i loved this series for real i did but imma just try to end this in my head my own way
As a person who has no stake in the conversation (have not watched or read the manga, but read time loop stories on a regular basis): the whole point of time loop fiction lies in returning or going to the point in time where the mission can be accomplished. You should feel empty, because of the lost character growth and the bonds. That's the point. Any time traveler is a tragic character who remembers, while all the world around him just moves on. If the author couldn't deliver that feeling of emptiness, then he failed at the genre he chose.
I agree. I just finished the manga today, and the bittersweet feeling of everyone no longer remembering what happened after everything Takemichi has been through hurts, but it's just as beautiful as it is painful. Characters like Emma and Dracken were able to come back to life, but the friendships like Takemichi and Senju will never be the same. So the days they could have spent together were only reduced to one, where Takmichi made a promise to go out and eat Ice Cream with her again one day, but because the ending, that promise will never be fulfilled. The bonds were erased along with the past timelines, and only Takemichi and Mikey can share those memories together (the author still snuck in Chifuyu faintly remembering the entire adventure though, he probably wanted to give us at least one other person who will never forget). And that's why it feels like such a special ending. Takemichi was able to get his revenge on his life, and all those events were between his life and him. He got his revenge by saving all of his friends, and just them still being alive and happy is all he could ask for. He's called "Our Crybaby Hero," and just like any other superhero, does he really need any praise for being heroic?
If you all are looking for a bittersweet ending, just think that after living this timeline he went back again..and again..and again..despite being successful or failing. No matter how much he wants to keep that timeline it'll keep repeating ✨
I completely agree. 2nd arc is far different from what I thought it would be. I do appreciate the good ending but this doesnt really feel right, it felt kinda messed up yk?
I actually love this ending. Maybe bc takemichi is my fav. But the fact that his goal, what he wanted all along was to SAVE EVERYONE! And he did it! He finally did it. He knew he couldn't finish what he want, so he gave the power to Mikey. Only for them to save everyone together. I think its a very beautiful ending. Not the best. But i love it!
honestly the plot line was kinda leading here but still unexpected part of me was really disappointed over the rushed ending but you know once in a while we all need a happy ending especially after so much shit we had to go through, through out the manga and I shit you not I started crying of happiness when we got this ending.
I guess sometimes ppl need happy endings cuz of how the sadness and hardships from the previous timeline brings eventhough those are the precious memories.
Whole manga and anime was interesting and i love it ❤️😁😁 And about the ending.. I have no problem as long as my Mikey is happy ❤☺️ Would it be better if the manga had ended in a sad way???
The entire manga is about how they got to this ending. It's not about how it will end, it's about all the stuff they went through to get to this ending
That’s just the thing, all the stuff they went through to get to this end was erased and the only thing that we experienced that remained was the ending. It’s like the opposite of what you said happened.
Do you not just see how ironic of a argument you just made? “All the stuff they went through to get this ending” bro that literally doesn’t matter because all that they went through was erased and the story was basically for nothing at this point.
Nope, he's batshit insane but somehow he's friends with everyone now even tho he was only friends with Kisaki because he thought he was interesting with how he was using people, which wouldn't happen because Kisaki wasn't evil in this timeline for some reason
I think people forget how much every ending that takemichi had was so heart wrenching and riddled with death that this man had to watch everyone die and his best friend had to watch him die by his hands before they got it all right to see them get a heart warming ending after going through heart breaking experiences and even death this was a great ending because we already had a 100 endings where everything was a lesson and or ended in someone dying the whole point of time travel is to u ravel the mystery of getting it right
Well that was the point of the whole story after all like after every time he went back to past he did his best but in future it meant nothing just like that the line "it meant nothing" was the thing that pushed takemicchi to try even harder and beyond the whole box to the point he made everything go return to zero and started a future that was perfect.
Honestly, I wouldn't be mad if that whole "new start" thing wasn't so rushed, that could've been a few chapters longer lol Now. Give me a "everyone is actually alive" ending in JJK too or I'm refusing to remember the latest chapters
I feel like we normalize hating or disliking a happy ending because of how unrealistic it seems. However, in this ending, without the character development of Takemitchy and Mikey, we would have never seen this ending, and it didn’t come out of a left field as the manga had built and led up to this moment. Not only that, but it’s satisfying as hell imo. Everyone has their opinions though.
It's like Dragon Quest 11 where we can choose to go back in time to fix everything but we throw all of the character development (especially Serena) away
the ending was great, think of it this way: after a long series of suffering, wakui wanted to give us and his characters a happy ending. they achieved their end goal, which was to save everyone. sure, it was rushed a bit, but wakui has been working on this series for almost five years now and you could see the passion that he’s been putting into his work. you can tell that he loves tokyo revengers and that this ending is what makes him happy. plus, it doesn’t really matter anymore since he’s working on a new delinquent series called negai no astro!
We need more episodes in manga. For example... What are they doing right now? I would love to read some adventures or happy episodes from their daily lives.
Wakui actually revealed that when Baji died, he has plans of reviving him in the end. Which makes it a domino effect that everyone who died after Baji will be revived as well. As for Mikey's dark impulses, it's as Angry/Hakkai said "how can you defeat a curse?" (I forgot who actually said this but it's one of the captains) so resetting the time prior to Shin's timeleaping that caused the curse was the key. Imo, wakui planned and thought of it very well. However, the execution felt fast-paced. Personally I don't have problem with the reset, but to me it feels like it should've taken like 30-50ish chapters more before the finale. Though all the characs had "new" devt in the new timeline, I agree that the devt they had in past timelines were wasted. It feels weird. It's bittersweet that those moments will stay only in Mikey & Michi's minds, and the others wouldn't remember.
The last chapter should have been 175,it would have been a perfect ending bittersweet yet amazing, if you exclude the next few chapters it's a 9/10,if not like a 7.5/10
For a while I couldn't understand why people really didn't like the ending. I thought maybe they thought it was too rushed. But the way you've described it, it makes sense. It is a little sad that everything feels like it was for nothing. But I think Chifuyu at least, kind of remembers, though he's not aware of it. It's an instictual feeling, since he was someone that Takemichi shared his secret with first. (I wished that they all remembered, though...)
As Fanmade and Vanilla as it was, It was the ending I was Happy to see, as it showed me the How much Takemitchy had changed and how hard he worked, and Taught me nothing in life is set in stone
So from what I heard the ending was really rushed due to some complaints with the publishing company so Wakui had to scrap whatever he could for the ending but he did announce he will be publishing new chapters to make up for the bad ending they will be coming out during Nov 2023
Great ending, the "character development" complaint is bs. The whole point of the series was to undo things in the future in the first place, not to mention what goes on behind the scene in the new timeline, sure the trigger could be less ass pull and the ending could have more scenes. At the end of the day not everything has to be dark or bittersweet. For once a positive ending happens, rock with it.
Exactly. I thought the point was that no one was really evil and everyone deserved to be saved. He did just that. Most of the guys just had rough childhood and Takemitchy brought all the troubled kids together as friends. It’s a great ending for a sad anime where kids died for stupid reasons and they all struggled hard.
@@Thief-d3c I was almost convinced I might be the only one in the fanbase who was disappointed when Kisaki died then happy when he returned as one of the homies in the ending.
Dude I don't think it meant nothing look at it in a different way now we know everyone personalities and plus the goal was always to have a happy ending and the characters who are supposed to be bad people show their other side on how a person can be different depending on different ways they faced obstacles and what it would lead to
Meant nothing? Bro the development was takemechi. His goal was to save everyone. Did we all forget that? The characters are literally the same from what they were from the previous timeline. So nothing changed other that removing the curse. The only character that changed was takemichi. Everyone are literally the same without the killing. But i think people wanted a sacrifice to mean something. Which it did. Created a new timeline which everyone survive.
The problem is not only the ending, actually TK manga begin to downfall after Tenjiku arc. As the chapters progressed it became more like unexciting and predictable. Well everyone wanted a happy ending, but we didn't expected it to come this way.
After all the bullshit that happend and the constant issues that made him have to go back it's nice to see he finnaly got what wanted after all the bullshit even if all that happened before didn't
I'm definitely gonna continue watching. I couldn't watch aot because of the ending. But im glad there's some victory and happy ending in TR. 🎉 They all deserve happiness for real
Just a sign that so much handshake timeleap, bleeding and tears of Takemichi and others involved where just a faint and far off what had happened and changed by our 'crybaby hero'.
People are just so irritated that people's dream about saving everyone comes true, yeah I did expect a half sad half happy ending BUT the main significance of the time switch was to save EVERYONE in the room and i couldn't be more happier but different peeps different opinion...
