Agreed. They are also putting on an act. I read about a guy that worked for security at a hotel and the group BTS happened to stay there. He said after the group made it through the fans and into the hotel, they all started chain smoking and seemed anxious or something. I don’t remember the full story but it’s in the comment section of another K-pop breakdown video. I think this happened in the west coast somewhere
Bad fandoms always ruin the reputation of what the fandom is based of off...that really ruins a lot of people's plans about that thing because they just go check the fandom before they go check the actual thing first. My recommendation is checking the thing first before checking anything else about that thing.

Same here. I'm a furry, but I don't go outside walking on all fours or growl at people. People in the fandom i find do that are 99% of the time younger furries (around 14 and below).

I think that, with every fandom, while most of it isn’t necessarily that bad, there’s always gonna be a small group of people who just take it too far and just ruin their entire community’s reputation
All of those are true, but there are two minor details. 1. You forgot to mention that Tate stans are worshipping a criminal and 2. Anime lovers and weebs call anime stans weeaboos, and it has been like that for years. But overall, it's 100% true on all of them.

Yeah, because Kissy is my favorite character in poppy playtime, I’ve always wanted to go to bronycon, and I love anime, I’m pretty sure that makes me a furry, an anime fan, and a brony. So I’m glad he clarified he’s not going after me for me being in those fandoms.

In retrospect, the role that bronies have played in internet culture is very odd. They were the internet's Enemy No. 1 for a while, but at the same time, they were a serious creative force. Musicians like WoodenToaster are the prime example. Something that fandom dissenters should get a grasp on is the Law of Truly Large Numbers: As a sample size or population increases, very unlikely events become more common and start seeming statistically significant. There's also the fact that outsiders only pay attention to a fandom when there's a scandal or drama, and very rarely normal and/or positive activity.
The MLP community has actually accepted the 40 year old men in their fandom. Even the little girls don't mind as long as it's the good ones not the creepy ones. I did research a long time ago so I know about this stuff. The girls are called pegasisters or whatever.
Yeah the worst parts of the brony community have started to fade as the creepier crazier fans have left now that the show ended like two years ago. And even before that too. It was mainly the 4Chan dudes that made weird shit. I like creepy shit but some of the stuff that was coming out from some of these guys was disturbing, like, a lot of people have shared stories of being kids during the shows height in popularity and seeing scary shit online. Thankfully it's calmed down a bit but you'll still find remnant weird shit or new weird shit every so often

Honestly, every single fandom will ALWAYS have a toxic side. It’s upsetting how the 5-10% of people who are bad are always the loudest and the biggest. The bad people also spread misinformation around so much, it’s almost unbelievable. Take furries for example, a lot of what you said was wrong about them. Yes there is the toxic side to them, but as I mentioned earlier, every fandom has a bad side to it. It’s a shame how this bad side is normally what people look for the most too. I was literally bullied on Roblox mic up yesterday, because me and my friends where cosplaying as the main four from South Park. We like to make avatars of our favorite characters, so we did South Park we were just chilling talking about the end of year exams and how they sucked. And these two girls just started beefing with us, like dam chill the fuck out your killing our vibes. And it’s not just the South Park cosplay it’s also others two man like anytime I’m cosplaying alone or with friends or siblings, people just start beef with us for no reason, we literally would just be chilling.

I can honestly agree with you. It's ok to be a fan of Andrew Tate, Dream, etc, but stans take it very far. Fanart and edits aren't over the top but dedicating yourself to someone is pretty insane. In my opinion K-pop, MHA, and Dream stans might be the most chaotic people. Fans have a limit and stuff but stans are terrible.

I used to be a dream stan, now I am ashamed to even say that. I'm a NORMAL fan now and don't really care that much anymore, but even when I say I'm a normal fan and not stan people say "oMg No YoU aRe A sTan" even thought I'm not anymore (luckily) I definitely agree that the dream stans are crazy and need to cool down.

I do agree with this, while some people in some communities said in the video are good with good intentions, they arent noticed due to the community they are in making themselves look like every other.
So there’s this one show, called PRIMAL, and basically, it’s a badass animated show where dinosaurs, Neanderthals, prehistoric mammals & reptiles and early human civilizations, exist in the same world and a specific Neanderthal and T. rex combine forces after some sort of tragedy. This show also has an amazing art style and storytelling, an awesome soundtrack and awesome sound design, with hardcore brutality and no dialog. Anyway, most of you haven’t even heard of it, which is sad, but it’s a show that deserves much more recognition instead of all of the things in this video with all of these dumb stans. Not a Primal stan, but I do genuinely think this show deserves some recognition, more so than some random animes, anti-Semitic rappers, K-pop bullshit, you know
One great thing about being a kid who is generally not into any contemporary, rapp, or pop music is the fact that I don't give or receive much toxicity as most people. I'm sort of a little bit of a prog rock stan but we usually don't give much toxicity.
Agreed, society sees “outcasts” and picks the worse out of them and puts them on a pedestal of media causing a stereotype that does great harm to minorities and the social status of fandoms. An example could be politicians demonizing the lgbt, or the common stance of toxic masculinity and hate towards femboys. And their are many many more examples.

Ik i'm late but As someone who used to be in dream stan fandom spaces around that time, I have not witnessed a single dream stan that was disappointed by it or something like that. In my experience, all i saw was acceptance. There undoubtedly were some, as with all things, but I can assure it is a very small minority. Most of people who were this spreading around were dream antis and it got pinned on the fans by the general opinion who didn't care to actually check if it's true. Dream stans are also mostly reasonable people yknow not the internet Boogeymen people like to paint them as.
the whole brony thing started when multiple college students were forced to watch FIM when babysitting their youngest cousin, sister, or what have you, and ended up loving the show, there is some mild cartoon violence, adult innuendos, and themes of peril, communism(in two episodes), and tyranny but in the end, the day is saved... also: the waffle house has found its new host

100% this. The fact that we get so much into any fictional stories at all, is strange in itself, is it not? Imagine having to explain that to an alien who just came to Earth. Another thing is that he says the show was for 5 y/o girls, which was true enough at the beginning, but as it became clear that the fandom was made of mostly grown men(my understanding is that this happened pretty quickly), the show changed to appeal to them instead. I was introduced to the fandom by the amazing songs and animations bronies made, so ppl talking about the fandom as a bunch of cheeto-stained degenerates has always made me tune out.

As with any fanbase, You are bound to witness insanely toxic people and I am willing to acknowledge that the Brony Community has a lot of them. But I do not condone the level of hate the whole fanbase gets because of a low percentage of idiots. Most of the fanbase is quite accepting and open and there are some genuinely awesome people there. I myself sadly never got to witness the "golden age" from around 2011 to 2013 (got into the show around early 2017), but I believe that even today, the brony community overall is incredible in terms of creativity (as in music and fandom projects) and the people you'll meet. It is good to point out the wrongs people have done, but I think it's toxic to apply your judgement to the entire fandom. Live and let live. That is all I want.
Hey, I’m not a brony, but I gotta say. No, there is nothing wrong for an adult guy to love MLP. I stopped watching it years ago but it was a fine show and there isn’t nothing embarassig about it, plus they make amazing music that I listen to this day.

Alot of the fandoms i'm in have their reputation ruined because of the small percentage of people who ruin it and when I try to explain i'm not in that part of the fandom I always get rude comments from other people.
In my opinion the normal people in those fandoms are not doing much to represent themselves as ok guys, or to restore their reputation. Just sitting on their ass and doing nothing.
