Them both being gamers teaches my gamer brain how serious it is. It's part of what I like about these videos.

I hate it when people say "uh but a gun is just a tool." Yes, for doing *what* exactly? Knives cut. Hammers impart force. Guns kill at a distance. That's very specific design, more than even a chainsaw or fire axe or scalpel, where all three would cut open my leg arteries with misuse. I am careful with a tool, because it will have a great effect. I am very careful with a power tool, because it is *designed* to go hard. And I am even *more* careful with a gun, because it is *specificially designed to kill* animals including homo sapiens. The AR15 in particular is exactly the right calibre to kill homo sapiens (and deer) at max distance with minimum ammo expended. I can certainly see why the people of certain states want people to limit their hunting to bolt-actions and shotguns, and home defense to pistols and shotguns. I think Brandon Herrera is a psychopath for his bloodthirsty interpretation of the 2nd Amendment. But at the very least he is purportedly careful with his guns.

@@JoshSweetvale Ah I could from the first sentence you were a foreigner. I take it you're from the UK where your greatest natural predators is a sheep and drunk guy. I'd agree with you if we're just talking cities but there's a lot of untamed wilderness across the US full of naturally strong creatures like bear, mountain lions, and moose. Except those things aren't just outside of city limits they often venture into cities. Those aren't the only things we have to deal with though those are just the big ones that will absolutely kill you if you have no weapon. There's still snakes which most people aren't going to know how to kill without a weapon much less want to get close enough to give it a chance. I don't know if they're everywhere but we also coyotes around here which I could definitely take in a 1v1 except they're pack animals. Of course they'd never attack me but small children are at risk and I've lost at least one dog almost two. Outside of my state there's all of the stuff in Florida like gators and crocks in other places. Those things would attack people and unlike other things on this list they feel no pain so there's no maybes about knocking it off. Sharks are a problem in some areas as well which I know are more of humans messing with them but there's still agresive ones to worry about. Speaking of which did you know fresh water sharks exist? As in you don't need to be in the ocean to worry about them. Aside from all of that we unlike you have to have hunters. No I don't mean we have to sustain ourselves that way though some do. America being the new world had a lot more invasive species than just humans. Hunting is necessary for the environment because invasive species ruin the environment just as much as humans. Nature could find a way but that'd be at the cost of other species. Also what many fail to realize is that the America you know has only been around for two generations. The wild west as you know in movies stopped only a hundred years ago and the highways you see are about sixty years old. What you see online and in movies took decades to be made and there's still much we haven't paved over. Not that we should. Much of what you perceive as safe of the wild many people have had to live without and a lot still do. Hell my town had only two restaurants a couple decades ago and four now. Change takes time but just because they may put up a McDonald's one day doesn't just make the wildlife disappear.

It does make sense. Dogs don't have much monetary value, and qualified immunity protects from lawsuits, so they just kill dogs on sight to 'clear' the place. They'd do the same with kids, spouses and random strangers if it wasn't forbidden.

Having a shooting license should be akin to how a drivers license works in my opinion. Start with a pistol shooting course, get over to rifles and if you really want to get a full auto license. That's how things should work in a perfect world.

@@Preussenpenner Yea its basically like that here in South Australia. I had to go through safety training ( can be up to a day to weeks ) 6 weeks for me, 1 day a week to train fundamentals around safety and basic markmanship, wouldnt hurt to have something like that

Well first off. Not everyone needs to go to the military just to use firearms. 1. You just need go be smarter not stupid. 2. You need to know the basic firearms laws and regulations. 3. Care about your safety and others. 4. Check your weapons, loaded? Or not? Doesn't matter always treat it as it's loaded. 5. Never do anything stupid with firearms like it's a toy. 6. Stop ruining it for others.

@@Preussenpenner The difference is that driver's licenses aren't used as a weapon to eliminate all cars from a country, and driving a car is _way_ more dangerous to everyone around you than owning a gun is. Plus in the U.S. the legal angle that driving a car isn't a constitutionally guaranteed right.

That is not entirely true brandon is spot on as anti tanks mines tend to be fitted with anti handling devices that is not movie knowledge thats real world knowledge its to prevent the capture and reuse of the mine and can make the mine go off if it is lifted or overturned. The one the man lifted was either not fitted with an anti handling device or he was incredibly lucky

That is true and that is how it SHOULD work, but these are probably old Soviet munitions that had been in a warehouse for twice as long as most of these guys have been breathing, so you never know.

Yes it's true they need the force of a tank to detonate but if it's got a trimmer switch it can go boom by just moving it more than what it would take to disarm it

Yes, but you can arrest them for owning an illegal gun. 10-20 years for armed robbery or murder may not deter them, but surely if you add six months for owning an illegal gun that will make them think twice!
