this was actually my favorite lmg, the recoil wasn't hard to control

I’m not sure I’d say it sucks but it is the lesser of the LMGs. Kinda funny how the big & bad Juggernauts wield a peashooter for a weapon haha

What’s strange is when MW2 was in its heyday I would use the M240 over most lmgs except for the Aug.

The silencer actually doesn't have an effect on the m240, m9 and mg4 meaning that you'll still come up on the radar. Useless attachment

I loved the fact that the 240 with extended mags would hold your entire ammo supply in one...helped me curb my "constant reload syndrome" lol

I think they gave it ao much recoil because it's technically classified as a Medium Machine gun not a LMG and thinking about firing fully automatic NATO 7.62x51 (308 Win) would be incredibly hard to control from the standing. With a weapon system that weighs 27.1 LB [Also been loving the twitch streams as well ]

I always slayed with the M240. Mad fire rate and lots of ammo means you can flatten people regardless of recoil. Not a gun to run around the map with, though - defend one small area and let rip. Technically camping of course, but the M240 excels at this sorta role (the plane in Terminal, buildings at either end of Skidrow, etc). Grip is a must, I felt any optic attachment was a waste so I always stuck with the standard iron sights. Really owe some of my best streaks to this thing lmao

I loved the m240 back in the day. Probably the best lmg for me. Droped a nuke first game on a few days back with forefrip 240

For anyone who hasnt fired a real 240B. This weapon shod only be fired from a bi pod or tri pod. So the recoil in the game is spot on if you try shooting it from the shoulder. Plus it weighs 27 pounds not loaded.

My thing with LMGs is pretty much how the look and how much they block my screen, along with the general sight picture. That is the reason I love the RPD and AUG. They're clean, sights are open, and they are just decent guns.

I loved it's sound soooo much. It's like ONE constant blow (bit like the PPSH41 in WaW)

Love the look of the m240B, love the 100 round mag, but in mw2 the gun is underwhelming to say the least. Shame the m249 saw didn't come into mw2, great gun in mw.

Also, I like the M240. It's a capable LMG and has the rate of fire to shut down what it comes across

The guy with the Predator missile probably got it before your streak started when harriers started coming in he was probably saving it for a Chopper gunner or Pavelow.

The suppressor for the m240 doesn’t work. You will still show up on radar.

You haven’t lived until you used the M240 with heartbeat sensor and thermal sight.

The irony of the M240 is that it is a low damage LMG in game when in reality it is a 7.62 NATO weapon (technically an MMG or Medium Machine Gun), so its stats should be swapped with the L86 (a 5.56 gun).

I loved using this gun. It also held a special place in my heart because i carried it during my time in the Army

M240 LMG is not that bad it's one of my favorite LMG in game because the sound effect is so badass and satisfying and the damage is OP and the recoil is pretty low.

I will never get over how little research they did for this weapon.... They put a box on it.... right where the rounds are supposed to eject since it ejects at the bottom. There are even bags designed to be clipped to the side because you cant mount boxes on it. Not to mention those rounds do NOT look like 7.62 more like 5.56 Its like some strange mashed together M249 - M240 Hybrid.

The M240 recoil is not very noticeable with the grip but the muzzle flash also makes a sight needed. Also the silencer is broken like the MG4 and M9

I don't know why but when I would play with the M240 back in MW2 days I'd wreck with it because I'd get tons of headshots. It was a fun weapon but there were definitely better ones like the god gun RPD.

Try FMJ and scavenger in my experience any gun with FMJ gives it a significant power boost. That's just my opinion

This was my favorite LMG , works best with stopping power and holographic, the high rate of fire was its saving grace.

The problem is..they had it backwards in regards to stats..the M240 should really be the hardest hitting..(I was issued the 249 S.A.W in the military and used the M240..) the M240 rounds are bigger than my Thumb (I'm 6'1")..the 249 fires the same rounds as an M16/m4...the damage output on the M240 should have been higher than it was in the game..they made the rate of fire higher than was it actually is I think..and made the 249 have higher DMG than the M240....it would never..

If you want the M240 to do well enough, give it a Suppressor. Because I'd argue that the muzzle flash on the M240 drags it down really hard.

It's a shame that no one is playing this on PlayStation. Tried to play TDM the other day and it searched for a lobby for 15 minutes with no luck.
