As a competitive player I’ve got a personal tip. If you fly, you die. Many people when being shot at in the sky try to “juke” the bullets midair. DO NOT do this. Drop straight to the ground. If you don’t you’re just giving your enemies more and more time to kill you. Most if not all fighting in Pop should take place on the ground unless you’re 98.8375% sure that you’re much better than your enemies.
That's a great tip. I've noticed when I get matched up with easier players, me flying is a super power, they never look up, but when they're more experienced.... flying is a death sentence.
Tips for new players: don’t forget to turn around, you only need two maybe three guns. And if you aren’t comfortable with you skill level, follow the enemy as a ghost. That gives your teammates an advantage to hopefully win the game. As a call of duty player, it is sometimes hard not to rush every gun fight.
As a new player you should not be carrying more than 2 guns We should just be carrying CX4 or an R FB And then you're close range Should be the UMP or the MP9 the u MP is easier to use because it has cross hairs After you get all of your backpacks you fill it with Shield sodas And shield shakers and probably one banana Possibly too Better off having this shield though and having one banana ( Is fastest way to get to ninethe shield from 0 is it is pop 2 shield sodas and then shake the shaker behind cover as the sodas are ticking your healthy by the time you drink the shield shaker you'll be at 90 shield Should take you less than 2 seconds maybe 3

So this was a pretty amazing tutorial. As a comp player for pop1, this was quite relevant for today. There were a couple things I would have changed. For the tip about storm, it's not a bad thing to take damage to storm. I can't tell you how many matches I've won because I was patient and tanked storm a bit to reposition. Storm should be seen as a danger, but also an opportunity to get a win. Something I would have added is when you hot drop, you can climb on the edge and fling yourself up to be able to fly the whole up and over it. Final thing, when you're hot-dropping, while it's good to stop and figure out where you're going. If people already drop, you almost have to post, as you'll just get shot out of the air. That's why it's a good skill for when you get on the pad, you can determine where you're at, what angle you're facing, and whether it's safer to pod or not, all within that 8 second window. Hoped this helps for in the future
I played it a second time and actually won this round with my team. One of us didn't even speak English, the other guy was completely mute and I was less than verbal but we were kicking ass. I think I got the hang of the guns, I was dropping people left and right, was awesome.
Yes! Amazing video! Population one is absolutely my favorite vr game. Thats how I found your channel. It can be difficult at the end or if you just sweat through the whole match, but I think it is an easy game to learn.

WTF! I watched this hoping I would find some incredible wisdom. I already follow ALL of these rules and I STLL SUCK. Obviously I THINK I am following rule 10 but I am lying to myself.
hey, I recently started playing Population One and I have this error when I use wireless headphones to hear the sound in the game, when I'm matched to the lobby and I'm waiting for the game to start, my headphones suddenly stop working and I can't hear anything, do you know why this happens?
I use the quest 3 and think The sound is beautiful. So I dont use headphones HOWEVER, regardless of headphones I have both had the issue in, not just pop 1, where I can't hear anyone either/or they can't hear me. Is this happening everytime you play? You could just be losing connection on your headphones.
@@superhippieman it happens everytime sadly and when the sound cuts, the sound is cominf from my headset and after match when i go to lobby sound randomy starts to come come from my earbuds. I thought that they are disconecting while playing and look in bluetooth tab in meta quest 2 but they were still conected
@@superhippieman Like all the clips are of you just missing 5 shots then on to the next clip of you missing more shots. it felt intentional. Im sure you have some clips of multi kills and whatnot.
@@MrSkillzor7 honestly didn't think about it. Sifting through game footage takes hours and and I usually will sacrifice perfection for basic point. However....I'm no expert at pop one. Just not a noob either, lol
It looks like he's still playing in the noob lobbies. So he's in that in between stage where he's better than average there but will get destroyed when the game bumps him into more skilled lobbies. His current MMR is about 2600.
