The WORST Moment of Vegeta's ENTIRE LIFE 

Seeing a 5 year old boy who could barely fight damage 2nd and 3rd form must've been very embarassing for him too. Gohan may have been the first Saiyan to inflict any damage on him.

Not only was this the worst moment of Vegeta’s life, it also served as a bit of a prelude to what would happen to him in the future. Start dominating. Get cocky. Get humiliated. This one was the first to start the trend but this one easily hit the hardest.

To me, this moment was more tragic than his death to Buu.

Pretty good retrospective look at the worst moment in Vegeta's life, his defeat and death at the hands of Frieza. Interestingly enough, Vegeta died full of bitterness and especially regret that he not only couldn't defeat Frieza and avenge the saiyans, but he had to rely on Goku to do it for him.

This is one of the reason why i REALLY HATE AKIRA TORIYAMA for not allowing Vegeta to kill Frieza in Ressurection F Saga in DBS. VEGETA was about to have his revenge, and suddenly He allowed Frieza to make his sneaky attack to Blast the Earth without charging and without Vegeta having a chance to detect the rising Ki of Frieza when and where he was supposed to detect that. And the most dissrespectful and Anti Climactic intervention of Goku happened as he STOLE the moment for Vegeta. That was very bad!

He wasn’t simply punching his back. He was punching his kidney over and over again. Incredibly painful

Yeah you just kinda don't get worse that having all your hopes and dreams brutally shattered, being tortured and then dying.

This was incredible. More please. I love the psychology behind these character in DBZ.

I wanna know which one humiliated Vegeta more, getting his back blown out by Freeza after hyping himself up. Or when Cell did after he let him become perfect.

I really hate that to this day, Vegeta has never gotten to have a fight where he just WINS! The man needs a MAJOR WIN at this point! However, Toriyama won't give it to him because he's outright said he hates Vegeta as a character. When I watched the Gold Frieza movie I was hoping he would get his chance for revenge as SS Blue, but even here the Frieza kill was stolen from him. Would of been great to let Vegeta finish Frieza off after all the shit he was put through by him. And then later on Goku and Frieza just teaming up is damn stupid AF! Frieza is just an irredeemable piece of shit character yet Toriyama decided to make him go Black Frieza and become more OP later?! Even though Vegeta goes through more power-ups to keep up with Goku, in the end they always make Vegeta fall short! Let a dog have his day already Toriyama?!! Like SERIOUSLY WTF?!!

Not only is he pissed. Freezer was absolutely livid.

Vegeta's death during Namak Saga - Tragic. Vegeta's Death during Buu Saga - Highly Noble...for a moment. Though a villian at the start, his goal to beat the bigger/deadlier villian was understandable.

Just realized how similar Vegeta is in this arc to Darth Vader in certain ways. I love the whole bitter servitude to a tyrant tragedy... And like Vegeta, we all need a hero to come beat the emperor we never had a chance to overcome, love the verse at the end !

I never noticed before that Vegeta is telling Goku that he needs to harden his heart and be unfeeling to win... as he's lying there broken and crying. Goku immediately realizes that Vegeta is wrong, and he's just parroting something that was drilled into him by someone evil. "A heart of stone couldn't shed tears like that."

Coming back to dbz, I realized how much I overlooked a lot of character development in the story. Vegeta's growth as a character is really cool to watch. For me, the most brutal scene was when 2nd form Frieza was running his horn through Krillins stomach, that was sick and made me genuinely hate Frieza lol. To me this was the peak of vegetas character, He was multidimensional, had such an interesting character to him, from relying on himself but then decide to team with the z fighters because it'll help him defeat them all was solid, we got to learn hos feelings about the destruction of his race, his timing of betrayal and his belief of whos the super saiyan, his brain told him it was himself as an elite saiyan but his heart told him it was goku, I also liked vegetas slim design and dark navy blue tight armour, vegeta at this point didn't even have an inferiority complex towards goku but just shock and logical thinking, because how would an elite lose to a lower class that's just logic I don't think he was jelous but rather inspired, and by the end of the arc when he sees goku as a low class go super saiyan he thought why need immortality when goku became this strong without any wishes, he also used zenkai hacks and was genuis, I understand and love the cell saga bit where vegeta has a breakdown and unlocks super Saiyan after trying so hard and then giving up because it felt hopeless but inside he still wanted it and the whole sequence is beautiful and is a now a meme template" that's it I don't care!" "Something inside of me snapped", I loved all of that, but what I did not love was vegetas salt after 18 beat him, I understand the frustrations but the beating from frieza shoulda humbled him and made him think of beatings as a necessary process before overcoming newer challenges, and I really didn't like his whole ego play with cell and hated his bickering with trunks, he literally told goku the previous arc to kill because otherwise the enemies would hurt us and it was amazing, and he shoulda kept the same energy with cell, and i also didn't like how he was jelous of goku instead of getting closer, the low class saiyan but and transformation was good, but as for his interactions with goku he shoulda looked at goku as inspiration not from jelousy, when goku sacrfices himself at the end vegeta literally has a good monologue but decides to never fight again and beats himself up, And I kind of didn't like that, again he made himself revolve around goku way too much while in the namek saga i felt like he was a more free flow character his next move was unpredictable and I thought he coulda been more interesting in the cell arc, he coulda done interesting things during the 7 year timeskip to buu saga, and in the buu saga this dude was still not developed, after quitting fighting and accepting goku was that guy, he still has jelousy and it takes till the end of the arc for him to realize goku was that guy and he wasn't even tho back in the namek saga he already had this realization same with end of the cell saga, i just didn't like the direction they went with vegeta and dbs is basically cell saga with a bit of buu saga, super vegeta has a mature feel to him but hes basically cell saga with a mask on, in the granola arc and his attempted sacrfice i loved that bit and he finally seemed to develop, but it's weird too cuz in super goku and vegetas relationship isn't bros anymore it's a man and a child basically, vegeta takes care of child goku since goku acts brain dead, In the z filler movies vegetas character was interesting tho

Here's an odd detail about Zenkai boosts that only occurs to me now. If Vegeta became immortal and thus can't really die, doesn't that mean Zenkai boosts don't work anymore? He'd be throwing away the biggest advantage Sayans have.

This is strong. Vegeta letting his pride aside and leaving it up to Goku is what makes the ending of the Buu Saga so emotional. Its great to see it play out here.

Vegeta zenkai boost didn't get to freeza level I think because his body didn't fully sense freeza final form before he recovered by dende I think!

Vegeta problem is that he had no idea how strong freiza actually was until it was too late.

Ironic , if Vegeta didnt give up on himself , he would have turned SSj, with the power in gap between 110 and Frieza maxing out at 120 and given he is an amateur fighter and cant keep fighting that long Vegeta would have won because of the rage in the moment. Vegeta is always cocky when he knows he is stronger then someone but when he loses it he doesnt think about "fooling around" anymore

There is something you should know the part 8:44 Frieza says “Here you go, I was just testing your reflexes and they seem to be fine” but in the Kai version Frieza says after he punches Vegeta in the back “How’s that? Are you beginning to regret your foolish attempt to defy me?”

Ki blast spamming does work multiple times throughout the show, just never as the main attack itself. Piccolo especially but a few other people (Goku) will use them to set up a follow up attack or as a distraction.

That was the worst beatdown and the worst way to die for a DBZ character, especially with the graphical content like blood oozing out on every blow, which symbolized that the humiliation of his pride and hopes of killing Frieza.

Everyone hated Vegeta because he was nr. 2, nr. 1 if we don't count Freeza. Listen to my maths: Vegeta powerlevel is 21.000 base. Ginyu's base is 180.000. But... Great Ape transformation increases the Saiyan's level by 10x. Making Vegeta 210.000. And yes, it does count, Vegeta is the only Saiyan we see to maintain his consciousnees when in the great ape form.

This is my favourite scene in all of db..orginal not kai...its phenomenal emotional and has so much character development with an eary tense feel. Its such an underated scene with the original dialog and faulkner score. Gives me goosebumps everytime i watch it

But wishing for eternal life would not change anything for Vegeta, it not only disables the Zenkai boost since he would never come anywhere near close to die ever again but he would still remain weaker than Frieza, Vegeta could end up as an entertaining monkey for Frieza on an eternal basis. Vegeta would need to wish for Invincibility to at least not lose to Frieza by not runing out of stamina or wish for being the strongest in the universe. Only for Frieza it made sense to wish for eternal life since he believed he is the strongest in the universe. Nobody knew at that point in time that one could make three wishes. My 2 cents.
