@Randomizin' Game decent or good restaurant or a good bar if they are into that. Otherwise, something fun like a concert or event. Movies are too much of a gamble, if it turns out not being good it is more hard for both of you to have fun. I mean, unless you both have a good time shitting on a bad movie lol
+Commentor O' Truth Generic Bleach wasn't defending Jack and Jill- he was saying it's worse than shit. Adam Sandler is a hackfraud con man who doesn't give two shits about saying or doing anything funny.
I can think of another Jack and Jill review in 2 parts that came before this one and doesn't have nearly the same view count. Gee, I wonder what the fuck I'm talking about...
Every Adam Sandler movie: -Paul Blart is always the "Best Friend" (from childhood) -Adam Sandler ALWAYS gets the hot wife -Ron Schneider cameo -Cringe -Big Budget -Advertisements -Ok I will admit this part was pretty funny however it doesn't mean that it's still a good film -Adam plays a "Family Man"' -Adam's character MUST have annoying kids -Cringe -Sterotypes -Did I mention Cringe? IMO I think Adam Sandler CAN make some pretty decent movies and has been in some pretty good ones such as 'Click', 'Chuck and Larry', Happy Gilmore... Etc. It's just a shame that he has to star in these really shitty films when overall I think he can do so much better and he knows it too. EDIT: Forgot I wrote this comment. After returning to it I find 3k likes and Finally decided to fix the error which was ECT. I must go now, but one day I shall return. Until then, I bless you all and Thank you for your kindness. SECOND EDIT: I have returned and after reading the replies I just want to say that YES, really like Click. I can understand if others didn't like it and that's totally fine, everyone likes different things but for me I've always liked that movie. The only thing I hate about it is the ending, it was lazy but at the same time it's to show that Adam's character learned some sort of lesson. Anyway, hope everyone is doing well and I'll most likely return again.
Billy Madison and Bulletproof are his two best movies imo. After Happy Gilmore he had Chuck and Larry..that's it. His movies started to have the same jokes and a shit story. Grown Ups 1 and 2 are embarassments and were shit. If he wants to act still..I'm fine with that. But he needs to stop making the movies.
@@garethreynolds9061 alright... if you find no redeeming qualitys in the writing and acting in uncut gems than you shouldn't pretend your an honest critic... noone agrees with you
_Godzilla_ (1954): $175000 USD to have a giant radioactive monster destroy Tokyo. _Jack and Jill_: $80000000 USD to have Adam Sandler in drag. Okay then.
I know I'm two years late here, but with inflation taken into account Godzilla would cost less than $2million to make today. Your point actually stands very well.
Darkpool LMFAOOOO you’re questioning your 7 year old’s judgement?? ITS A FUCKING 7 YEAR OLD. You are the parent, and it is your judgement for LETTING your child watch that trash on repeat that deserves questioning
It feels like this just came out yesterday :( I can't believe it's been 6 years, I've been watching since I was 13 and I'm still trooping with you through the podcast! Thank you ethan and hila, you inspired me to make my own cringey youtube videos in high school that got a few hundred views a pop. It helped me break out of my shell, it helped me find some real friends that are still here for me. Thanks for all the goofs, gafs, and laughs. PAPA BLESS
+GreenNight Bunny Because sadly, my friend, some people are VERY easily amused. OR, he took advantage of people who enjoyed Sandler's earlier films, which, while not the best, were significantly higher quality than...this excrutiating film :(
first found out of this movie on South Park when Stan saw every movie as shit, I thought it was a joke just like Rob Schnieder as a carrot skit they did. I seriously thought South Park just came up with the idea cause it was so bad of an idea that it couldn't be real.......I was wrong
Pepto Bismol got SO popular after that movie. They were mixing drinks with it at a club I went to. "I don't always drink beer. But when I do, I prefer Pepto Bismol."
h3h3Productions I got a bottle from 2001 and damn son is it dank. It turned brown and coagulated chunks to the top. "Thatsa one a good pesto boi" -dunk pochino
80 million dollars it took 80 million dollars to make Jack and Jill yet it only took 17-18 million dollars to direct Aliens, a film with almost no cgi, great special effects, great actors, and was made in 1986.
@@SOIBand used an inflation calculator, and Aliens dollars in 1986 is equivalent to $26M in 2000 (too tired to check the exact movie of the pepto bismol movie) Not even half
Actually a lot of people liked his early movies and they still hold up after all this time (I still like watching them). These new movies are not the same as the old ones. It's like any other movie creator that get too much power (ahem, George Lucas, John Carpenter, and Ridley Scott). They just don't understand that sometimes you need input from other people to make a good movie (or even a silly stupid movie). -The only person that seems to be exempt from the rule is James Cameron. I don't think that dude can make a bad movie if he tried (Avatar may have been overrated and unoriginal but it wasn't anywhere close to bad).
Dylan Morgan he made the movies he wanted to make his whole life then got greedy and just wanted to spit out more movies to make more cash. He's literally said it himself in an interview. That happy Gilmore and the waterboy were his babies and after that he really didn't care anymore. Sorta pathetically sad
I just realised that I watched this movie, but I have no memory of half the plot. All I remember is the title, and that's it. It's like a repressed memory.
And the fact that each episode is approximately 45 minutes long, that's 450 minutes of genuine story telling, not a single drop of advertisements in the show itself.
Not with the animal, he was a background character for about 30 seconds to a minute. He makes many movies that he is not a lead character to, that was just an example.
@@james_medlin lol buddy I was making a joke because a bunch of the comments when I made this one were stupid shit like “every Adam Sandler movie: [some generic description of a bad movie]”
Love going back and watching old content man. I'm here from the h3tv ep about fair use today. ETHAN is a content creation guru who will lead fair use into the promise land
@@Li_Tobler Honestly, I don't really get it either, I just joined the trend. I guess some RU-vidr with this avatar got hit hard by copyright or demonetization or something, so people are using this as some sort of protest.
This is a really stupid comment but at the start when you said "that's my thesis" you reminded me that I'd finished an essay over a week ago which was due in literally 15 minutes and had forgotten to submit it, would have lost 5% per day if I hadn't watched your video. Confirmed: h3h3 saved my degree.
"If you have a comedian playing as more than one character, as a different gender especially, then you've got a cancerous movie on your hands." Mrs. Doubtfire would to have a word with you.
I don't know if Mrs. Doubtfire counts in that regard, because it's one character who disguises himself as a woman in-universe, not one actor playing multiple characters.
he can make more $$$ and try less with these. it's simple labor costs & profit margins economics. Just have acknowledge zero pride or integrity in your work.
So who else thinks that Adam Sandler was an old highschool buddy of Ethan's and when Adam made it big he promised Ethan that he who get him in a movie. Adam said he would call when there was an offer.....the call never came. So now Ethan is salty and he's trying to roast him. lol why did I just spend like 5 mins thinking and typing about this
Some other bad movies: The Emoji Movie (2017) Norm of the North (2016) Hobgoblins (1988) The Garbage Pail Kids (1987) Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny (1972) Breaking Wind (2012)
This movie is for white, preppy, over- social white families with a Dodge Caravan in the driveway, a golden retriever named Buddy or Spud, and they go to the movies on Fridays after a Chilli's dinner to watch a 2 hour Pep Bismol ad.
The guy just keeps on making movies. He needs to just call it a day. His glory days will always be dear to our hearts (Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, Billy Madison, Little Nicky etc). But he needs to know when to hang up his boots. With every movie he makes, he looks a little more dead inside. and it breaks my heart.
thats actually pretty hilarious now that you mention it. I never realised. I haven't seen those movies since i was a kid, but I saw Happy Gilmore recently and while it's pretty hilarious, it's also one long subway commercial. I guess he's been a dog since the beginning, but those movies are too prominent in my childhood to hold against him. But I'll definitely be holding that in mind for whenever I do watch his old'uns again. (Can't help but think the Waterboy was trying to push an agenda on me now haha, something about water maybe.... or gaaaaaatorade) I haven't seen punch drunk love, but I just watched a bit of the trailer there and noticed Gail the Snail from Always Sunny is in it and also P.S. Hoffman, so I'm adding it to the in-brain watchlist.
Ok, seriously, are we not going to talk about how nobody actually just fucking drinks Pepto? Unless everyone on that set had the severe shits, they are all going to be constipated like nobody's business. That's not even covering how fucking disgusting Pepto tastes, and the fact that it's got the consistency of the gravy my grandmother makes.
The only good movie Sandler was ever involved with was Reign Over Me. Don't get me wrong I loved some of the movies you mentioned when I was about ten years-old but they are still horrible movies.
Did anyone see that episode of survivor where it was sponsored by Jack and Jill so the tribes had to go and watch it as a reward? It was really funny because they had to pretend they enjoyed it and people were like "oh yeah I loved it". It was really fake and it did nothing to boost ratings anyway.
+UnrealDifficulty the third movie is pretty fucking flawed and doesn't even feel like its own movie, but the first and second movies are damn near perfect.
Thank you for making a video on this. All my friends are dropping like flies after watching this movie. We really need to get the word out that this movie is harmful to the youth.
