honestly a tip for a bit extra wood at the start, destroy the dummys at the start of a crusade or weapon rooms, and yes, you can infact destroy them and you get 2 wood from each-one destroyed

Does the hardcore difficulty also make the followers harder to please? Or is just a side effect of loosing faith more often because of the harder battles?

The former, chat even warned him not to increase the difficulty because the base management becomes harder

He was like "it's okay I'll make up for it with the dungeon runs" but even a successful dungeon run only gives you +10 faith, it doesn't really make up for the -20 every time he lets them wake up without enough beds or the like 20 faith he keeps missing every time he forgets to do a sermon.

I'm really bad at the combat in this game so I'm on easy mode but now the cult/base building stuff is way too easy. I already have everything unlocked but I die all the time. I wish they'd make the cult part harder and put more stuff in there

Or even just have a separate combat difficulty and a colony management difficulty setting. I’m bad at this kind of combat but love city building- I’d probably want normal combat with very hard city building but I guess it’s nerf or nothing

Its probably not a good sign when your cult is 20 strong, has nowhere to sleep but the floor, has zero mills or mines, zero outhouses, zero food plots, and yet they still are enthralled with you on the faith bar without getting sick or constantly starving while still being able to build whatever decor or cult buildings you want on the hardest difficulty. Also yes please let flooring be a hold and drag to make an x by x area. Its so irritating trying to do pathing moving along the grid.

I think I’ve seen enough of this game to say it’s pretty mediocre. Everyone online is loving it, but all I see is a mediocre rogue lite combined with an ok cult sim. I’ll keep watching the series though cuz the NL commentary is gold with the chat audits.
