Nothing phone 1 works perfectly fine in the US, its been my daily driver for a year and even travelling across the country ive never had a service issue
so long ago my sister had to have a phone and she got the microsoft kin phone as her choice at the time i had a droid 2 i felt so bad for her. that was undoubtably the worst phone ever
Yeah I like the design too, now would be a good time to have it back on official windows 11 tablet mode, if tablet mode still a thing on them, but with ryzen apu.
Didn't expect to see Matt try to sell me a vape phone while wearing a massive hat, with the tony hawk's pro skater 2 main theme playing in the background today.
Yeah , that nothing part in video was most ignorant westoid moment. Why cry for no carrier phone support when it's not even released in your country? Anyway , I got nothing phone 1 for just 230$ in my country and 5g works like charm. SD 778g + wirless charging and 120hz display is just great value.
The CAT S60 isn’t actually that bad, lol. It’s old now, and was a bit behind even when it was new, but the integrated thermal camera and essentially having a built-in case made it perfect for folks who used it for work that involved getting rough and tumble. I still use mine almost daily for the thermal camera, even tho I don’t use it as a cell anymore due to how out of date Android is. And man, is that thing sturdy… One time I had someone nearly hit me when they blew a stop sign as I was crossing the street. I flung my S60 at their car, cracking the rear windshield. Phone bounced off and skidded over the ground… Picked it up, not a scratch. Built like a Nokia!
I almost bought the AT&T GoPhone version of the Asus Padphone when it went on sale for less than $100. But I realized that its better to have a phone and tablet as 2 devices because you can use both at the same time if needed.
I've got the Nothing phone 1, being based here in the UK. Good support and it's amazingly high quality. I had the Samsung Galaxy S21 ultra plus or whatever the maximum version is called and this feels just as slick, it looks a lot better and the design features are second to none. I'm a little gutted that the nothing phone 2 will be here soon but thankfully I can upgrade every month if I want too. My only issue so far is that it is very slippery when left on an angle on the table or side etc, it can and will slip away. But a good case will fix that. I just need to decide which one. But, all in all, I would choose it over going back to Samsung galaxy flagships, which is huge for me because I've been using that range since the very first Samsung Galaxy S
3:42 for me the thing that every reviewer on RU-vid seems to miss about the Razer edge and the reason I like the idea of it is that you can get a secondary connected device that doesn’t require hotspot tethering that fits in your pocket…. For a long time I’ve wanted a company that isn’t Apple to make an actually capable small form factor tablet with cellular data. On Verizon an extra phone plan is another 45-60 bucks a month, but a tablet plan is 15-20. I only wish Razer hadn’t leaned into gaming so hard and maybe given it a desktop mode like dex and treated it like a true productivity AND gaming machine.
The lobster 700tv was ugly as sin but I had one. I genuinely loved it. At the time it was ahead of its time. They didn't sell very well in the UK but I used to use it to watch TV on the bus on the way to college.
I got it for like 40 usd, a smaller version with a 7inch tablet, it was great when it worked.. But, the main issue was, while using the phone in tab, sometimes the screen would go off and on and the touchscreen wouldn't work, I had to remove the phone and put it back, the worst part, all the recent apps and the open app would be removed when you remove or install the phone into the tab..
those cat phones are for things like construction sites and the like where you don't need a super high end smartphone, but you will need a sturdy phone that can handle things like high falls
I know that should be about tech, but here I am admiring mats Rochester Plates, shirt! Mainly because the plates are awesome! The food is…the team, it depends on the year…😂😂😂
9:40 if you live outside US or at least in Europe or Asia specifically India Nothing phone 1 is a decent device with most of the phones are still on hold in India for 5g career update Nothing phone 1 had it out of the box
9:33 as a person who uses a phone (1), I don't think that a phone which has no support for US carriers means it's a bad phone. I've been using it and it's been great for me. There's nothing wrong with it, plus they're bringing it to the US with Verizon. The specs are alright too, so basically there's nothing wrong with it. It just (at the moment) doesn't have US support just yet.
oh hell yeah i just noticed you have ROBORAPTOR in the background!!!!! excellent taste, i had one back in the day and i had roboquad too!! i miss them i can’t believe i lost track of them i have no idea where they are i bet my mom gave them to my cousins or something like that :(
I really wanted the xiaomi mi mix alpha and the asus padfone. The unihertz luna looks like the nothing phone but with an ir blaster and a headphone jack, even carl pei even talked about the unihertz luna. The unihertz luna works with tmobile and verizon but has issues with at&t. My very first phone that I ever had from virgin mobile was the vox 8610, I ended up switching to tmobile, the phones I used to have on tmobile were nokia 3310, nokia 5300 xpress music, samsung beat, and the motorola rokr e8. I switched to sprint, I first had the htc evo 4g lte, iPhone 4s for a week than switched to the samsung galaxy s3, than the note 2 because I wanted a bigger screen, than switched back to tmobile and got the note 3, than the note 4. I been using unlocked ever since.
When I hear "feature phone" I can't help but think of some mediocre phone they only called a feature phone to trick people into thinking it was one iota good for anything!!
Oh no, the Nothing phone(1) has no US carrier support (because it's not sold in the US!)! It wasn't for you. It was sold elsewhere first, elsewhere does exist, Americans. Nothing phone(2) will most likely will be supported. It's a great mid-range phone, even without the gimmicky back-lights. Plenty of high-end features for not much money. I know, I have one as a secondary (work) phone.
You know what would have been the most awesome phone in the world if they had continued to develop it? The Windows phone (the 2010 one)! Why? Well with where everything is now - think of this: A phone with integrated cloud computing/gaming/streaming where the actual OS was developed around it by Microsoft. I know you can do a lot of it with the phones we have now - but it's all tagged on and "sorta" works. If the Windows phone wasn't a Windows 8 device where a lot of middle of the road decisions were made - but rather was a Windows 10 or 11 device specifically targeted at being a PC in your pocket with the compute power of "whatever you want" (subscription based probably) with cloud data processing and storage - including gamepass. Literally a PC in your pocket which you could just pair with any screen and use a bluetooth mouse/keyboard to turn into a fully functional PC.
There is an alternate timeline universe out there somewhere where Windows Phone continued to ascend, got developer support, and in the year 2023 everyone owns a neurally linked surface duo instead of a 14 Pro Max and airpods. And I want to visit and take up residence in this alternate universe.
@@POVwithRC I'm still waiting for the augmented reality stuff Microsoft showed off a few years ago! Imagine augmented reality + all of that 😀Take me to that world please!
This is obviously satire. I wouldn't trade my Surface Duo 2 for anything, especially not for a foldable with a visible crease in the middle of the display (-> Surface Duo 3? Hopefully not 😏).
Really? You blame the nothing Phone, a Phone what was Made for UK and EU for No Support to American Carriers?! This is just silly... Thumb down for beeng so american
Turing phone?? just heard of it..and CAT Phones never arrives here in the Philippines! lol 😅🤣 wow first time i've seen the Vaporcade phone lol looks funny.
