Sal I need you to take this video down, not because you are wrong, but because you're right, and I don't want to risk my league mates seeing this 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
because of everyone’s bashing of dj moore’s situation, he slid all the way to final pick of the fifth round and i scooped him up. amazing flex option, don’t hate that value at all
Thank you for never wasting our time with useless banter or some deuche wearing a backwards baseball hat chiming in with their opinion on every player you cover! Keep up the great stuff!
I drafted Moore last year in all my leagues, this year I won’t touch anyone from Bears. Might be a mistake and I actually think Caleb might be fine, but the WR room is too crowded.
Disagree with flowers. Getting a teams WR1 in the 5th round is a plus if you ask me, and on a high powered playoff offense. Dude had plenty of games with double digit targets last season. I’d easily take him over Andrews in the same spot when you can get similar tight ends a few rounds later (Kincaid, Pitts)
Agree with a lot of the takes good speed work! Only one I like is Nico. Diggs coming in will eat into target share, however last year Nico and CJ were banged up a few games + it’s fair to expect some kind of improvement upon CJ first year and Nico breakout. I believe he puts up very similar numbers to last year with spike week potential.
Tank dell is strouds favorite target (his words). I like Nico a lot but I don’t think he puts up the same kind of production in a more crowded WR room and now that they have an alpha RB
Sal, just a friendly advise - don't get into a debate with people who post under your videos. This is YOUR take and your take only. Everyone else can build their own strategies. I so appreciate you and your efforts. Cheers, brother!
@@GreatNewsVideo Yeah totally agree. It's weird when people tell someone to take their advice but not listen to anyone else in that comments... He's a grown ass man who can have a simple and respectful conversation, that's the entire point of FF. It's all opinions and no guarantee's 🥂
Rashee Rice was drafted specifically to catch 4 yard passes and gain another 5 yards. He's there to move the chains. They normally play an RB in that role, but moved away from that. The fact they didn't draft his replacement shows they intend to keep him in that job.
I disagree with the puka take, and if anyone should not go in that range it’s Wilson. Sometimes you’re so deep in the data you can’t see the art on the field. Wilson is a stud but we have zero idea of his QB talent at this point and he has underperformed so far in terms of his fantasy value. Too many risks there. Also, I think you’re 100% right on Nico.
I feel the same way, Kupp is coming into an age that he will be there and get targets but his efficiency and huge years are over. All the data points to that
Disagree with Zay Flowers. With Derrick Henry there, teams will have to move the safeties up. They’ll be in mark Andrews route zones. Deep ball is going to be open for Zay a lot
I disagree with the DJ Moore take. Yes there's more competition but he's getting a big upgrade in QB and the bears paid him out crazy so they definitley gonna use him heavily.
It's pretty tough for me to get behind this "if there's no rushing upside they aren't worth drafting" thing. Literally only 3 QBs last year that had any real rushing upside and that was Josh Allen, Hurts, and Lamar. Lamar doesn't score many points as a passer so without his "rushing upside" he is barely a fantasy starter and without Hurts tush push "rushing upside" he isn't any better than Dak or Stroud or Burrow. The pocket passer isn't dead or close to it, Stroud and Dak had bigger games than all those guys passing the ball and Mahomes will too this year with some weapons. The top 3 guys have rushing upside but there needs to be 9 other QBs starting in a league so like if you can get a stack or really like a pocket passer then take him. JA and Hurts are the only two who are in a league of their own
I agree with you - people are going way too crazy for rushing upside, but Stroud is still being legit over-drafted. Why does he go so much earlier than Dak, another pocket passer? Is Stroud a better QB in year 2 than Dak is in his prime? I doubt it. Is he on a more explosive, pass-heavy offense? Dallas ran the most passing plays last year. Does he have better weapons? Maybe better depth, but give me CeeDee Lamb over any WR on the Texans.
I think QBs without rushing upside are absolutely worth drafting, just not within two rounds of the top 3 QBs with rushing upside (I'm also fading Mahomes for the most part). EDIT: Responded too early and saw that he's fading Tua and Herbert for same reason and I agree with you! I like both of them when they fall, rushing upside or no.
@joshliam1967 glad we are on the same! This is definitely a wait to draft qb year for me either way but the guys that can throw 40 tds are just as valuable to me as the guys throwing 25 or 30 and rushing for 8 or 10
It doesn't really have anything to do with the ceiling, it's about the floor and consistency - the 3 players you mentioned with the rushing upside have such a high floor that they are almost guaranteed to end up in the top 5, (and Richardson and Murray could easily get there too if things go even moderately well) where as players like Burrow, Prescott, and even Stroud need everything to go right and a career year to end up there. That's not to say those guys aren't worth drafting and starting - it's just not worth investing an early to mid round pick on a pocket passer - if you don't end up with one of those top 3 guys (or maybe Mahomes if the price is right), it's better to just wait to be one of, if not the last, owners in your league to draft a QB - guys like Purdy, Tua, Cousins and even Herbert all can end up scoring in the same range of the top pocket passers pretty easily, and will cost you next to nothing. I'm actually kicking myself in my main league, it's a keeper league and the top guys (Hurts, Allen, Jackson) as well as a few others (Tua, Richardson, Cousins were all kept but other than that there were no QBs gone yet in the late 6th round. I was set to pick last in the 6th with 2 guys ahead of me (including the Tua owner) so I was feeling good about my chances to grab a freefalling Mahomes or Stroud at a good value. Well, Stroud went and then the Tua owner grabbed Mahomes for some reason (after giving up an 8th round pick to keep Tua) so I panicked a bit and took Burrow. Still a good value at the end of the 6th (which is better than it sounds given that each team can keep up to 3 guys so late 6th is more like mid to late 8th in most leagues) but I could have grabbed some badly needed RB depth there - I ended up taking Kyler Murray in the 13th round anyway because the value was so good, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if Kyler outscores Burrow this year. Not only did I give up that pick, but now, unless I can swing a trade, I have the weekly headache of picking which guy to start.
Sal, how can people say with a straight face that the Chagers are gonna be a run team. They are gonna be playing from behind in 80% or more of their games. This team might want to be a run team, but the team is not ready to be a run first team. I think that Herbert will be a way better fantasy QB than analysts are giving him credit for. Sure, most of his points will be garbage time points, but that doesn't matter. They all count the same. Herbert could be a league winner in alot of leagues. Just my opinion.
@@carltonmoore6967 They also dont have good running backs. Curious how they plan on being a run first team with 29 year old Edwards who has been an 8 carry a game guy for almost his entire career and JK Dobbins who has about a 0% chance of doing anything.
@@Fenix-054dj Moore finished top 10 in PPR last year….and that was with absolute trash QB play. Anyone in their right minds would be all over a guy like that.
Quick video recap: - [Questionable player] only did well 1 year ago. - [Non-questionable player] did well 2 years ago. - I emotionally connected with [Non-questionable player] for longer so he's better. intriguing....
Calvin is going to shred this season. Also, titans are going to be slinging it more with King Henry gone. Tyler Boyd might help move the chains but his red zone looks won't threaten Calvin's.
Yea I’m seeing a lot of these fantasy know it alls talk so down on Texans offense like we overrating and hyping them up, gunna be hugely mistaken come week 1 it’s like they trying to deny the truth Houston is gunna be hella fun to watch like last years dolphins
thank you for being the first serious fantasy content producer to deflate the nico collins nonsense. dudes a dog but no one should be taken that high in a receiving corps that replete.
So I normally don't do this, but when you miss quote somebody, not only is it not fair for them it's not fair for the listeners, Austin ekeler recently did an interview to clear that statement that he made about the chargers wanted a rusher to rush the ball 300 times, his quote was taken out of context, the chargers want to rush the ball 300 times that's not his skill set, Austin ekeler was a PPR monster,, so to sit there and try to run him for 300 times a season that's not where you are going to get the best version of him, run him 200 times give him a hundred passes, he'll stay on the field every play,, his quote was made to look like he was saying the chargers want to run for 300 times a year and he can't do that,, he also goes on to say ,he suffered a high ankle sprain very early in the season, and then re-aggravated it again,, but to the fantasy football players, you know how I get down and if I was a betting man I would have me on your team this season,,.. now with this being said, he was a first round pick last season,, he's only 29 years old,, for context, Christian McCaffrey is 28, Derrick Henry is 30,, you made the argument for Nakua, that he's a horrible pic because Cooper kupp was hurt last season. But now he's healthy.. can't have it both ways.. ekeler hurt his ankle last season now he's healthy, you go try running around with a high ankle sprain,,lol.. the man is healthy.. it's an absolute crime that he's being picked this late in fantasy,, especially in best ball.. that is a no-brainer. I will take him every single time in the 9th or tenth round..
The issue I have with your take on DJ and Nico is that these guys cannot be guarded 1 on 1. These opportunities will only increase with studs like Allen and Diggs garnering more attention from defences. They’re also much younger than their veteran counterparts and historically they are at the age when they’re most likely to boom. Did I draft both these guys? Yup.. I bloody hope I’m right 😳
I'm generally trying to avoid Houston and Green Bay's receivers if I can. I traded Collins last year for Breece Hall because I knew Dell was sitting on waivers and they would have similar output. I'm glad I made the trade because I'm keeping Breece as my 3rd rd pick this year. Tank was arguably the #1 in that offense before he got hurt. Definitely staying away this year unless it's at a significant discount.
Collins had elite YPRR numbers last year. Top 5 of the last five years. Pretty good company with Hill (who is top 5 twice), Adams and Kupp are the other two. Below him are guys like Chase, Jefferson, Lamb, Brown. Point is he's an elite talent. I doubt anyone will regret taking him.
I snagged Evans then Nico at the 24/25 in a 12 man and am stoked with it. I don’t think diggs will take too much away, especially because I think the Texans overall are going to have a potent offense and will be scoring a ton of points.
I def made mistakes on my first time playing season long ever. I took some players too soon and left better options to the next guy. And the fact that I feel my team is decent, hurts more to think about what I could’ve had. 12 team league I was 5th pick. (B Hall) 5 (N Collins) 20 (D Achane 29 (CJ Stroud) 44 (Z Flowers) 53 (D Kincaid) 68 (R Odunze) 77 (J Reed) 92 (B Thomas Jr) 101 (B Robinson Jr) 116 (J Elliot) 125 (T Spears) 140 (J Herbert) 149 (Buffalo) 164 (Z Chabonnet) 173
Jameson Williams being drafted in the 12th round over the 9th round is irrelevant. At this point in the draft you are looking for upside. Nobody is drafting Jameson Williams hoping he returns his adp value.
Flowers was a rookie. I think Lamar has improved each year as a passer and Zay fits what Lamar is as a passer perfectly. 4th round might be rich without context, all depends on where you get him. For example, I got him in the 4th round but he was WR25. He finished last year as WR30 in 0.5PPR. Seems like a decent bet for improvement.
My fantasy team QB Richardson RB1 Jonathan taylor RB2 Achane WR1 T Hill WR2 kupp TE Andrews FLEX D adams K Mooney SF D jets Only in a 8 man league but im projection is T1st❤
The reason zay flowers is going early is because the projection of improvement. He was a rookie last year and when mark andrews was hurt he was a stud so people are probably thinking the ravens will get him the ball a ton. Also Andrews gets hurt a lot so he’s gonna have some big games
I was late to my draft party and it auto drafted me Kupp. My draft in general was absolute trash so I actually ended up with Kupp, Puka and Kyren around round 4 trying to get back in the mix. I almost made it by one game. My team suffered when Stafford got hurt….all that to say if Puka lands to me I’m picking somebody else. I 1000% agree with you, Sal!!
my league must be full of big brainers because nacua went late 2nd and nico collins went well after every single guy you mentioned he was being taken ahead of. henry and evans were also early second rounders.
Nico will have to share with multiple recievers BUUUUUTT he is strouds go to guy for 3rd downs and a big target when needed. Guess we'll have to see what this season brings.
I really believe Ekeler is gonna be a beast this year He scored 26 PPR points week 1. During the wk 1 game he got a high ankle sprain and 4-5 games and he really wasn’t the same for the rest of the season after that. He never fully recovered. He should be fully recovered by now so watch out
Yup I have been saying it for the last month. The only reason Stroud is going as high as he is in bestball is because there is 3 teams that need to pass on him every round. You have the Diggs, Dell and Collins team all having to pass on him when they see the potential stack come up.
@@tobyflederstech5305 im over weight on Evens for sure feels like the easiest click I think Nico and Drake can both have good years I’m just betting 5 to 8 guys going in the second and early third have better ones
Good call on Rashee Rice and Austin Ekeler. Rice helped me win last year, and although the probable suspension doesn't really bother me too much, the addition of good talent is the real issue. Rice may be a one year wonder, but it was great to have had him last year.
@@rettdawson1152 Yep. It's either a very shallow league or it's a Dynasty league where he swindled some of his buddies in trades to create a super team. Anyways, if it's Dynasty then I'd be trying to trade Henry and Kyren before the season. That age cliff is coming for Henry and Blake Corum is breathing down Kyren Williams neck for that #1 job. Kyren is one injury away from either losing his job or being in a timeshare with Corum.
I feel like Sal picked a lot of rookies here to avoid and then banked on them completely stagnating or regressing in their second years. There’s no chance that players like Puka Nacua and CJ Stroud will totally stagnate, and even if they did, so what? If you extrapolate the ~16 ppg Puka was averaging with Kupp also there to 17 games, you get 270 points. CJ is most likely going to be Qb 6-8 even with just pure passing skills. Look at how Purdy and Goff did last year. Andrews is injury prone, and even if he wasn’t, they’re going to scheme more touches for flowers this year in the run or screen game, even if target share on true passes doesn’t go up.
People saying the bears wide receiver room is "too crowded" make no fucking sense. If he had no body to help him before teams could plan double or tripple him the whole game and had shit qb play no rb to help and still went the fuck off l. Kenan and odunze are gonna take pressure off moore.
DJ is easily the top target in the bears offense. Whatever you think about CW he has to be better than Fields and they will be passing a lot more than they did last year.
lmao first person I've seen that says nico collins shouldn't be that high. I genuinely don't understand how he's up there in a crowded wr room. Great player, but wouldn't take him that high.
If commissioners would get smart they would add +1 for QB completions and -1 for QB attempts and make the real good QBs worth drafting instead of dogs like fields 😂
So if a QB goes 20 for 30 they get 10 points but if they got go 10 for 30 they get -10 points.... I don't understand why commissioners don't use these numbers.... We use everything else!
This didn't Age well after Game 1 🤣 "Don't go after Zay Flowers, Ravens will prioritize Derrick Henry & Mark Andrews is the favorite receiver" Right ...
I'm taking Nico Collins all day in drafts this year, but no way in the 2nd...I also think DJ Moore will have another good year but not till at least the 5th...Sal you decimate everybody in this field...pure facts
What about leagues that award QBs .25 per completion and 6 for a passing TD? I know you hate Jordan love, but I'm also in a keeper and he's only costing me a 13th round pick
I legit disagree w all of your picks. But after last year seeing what you were saying in the beginning of the season im so glad i never went with your advice lmao
For context before last season started, he said: Deboo > keenan allen Adams > st brown Dontae johnson > mike evans Drake london is going to be a breakout player in 2023 w ridder
Swift & Everett will eat into Moore's targets as well (minor but still something to note). Agree that he is overvalued, even though I'm a DJ truther - aka Panthers fan.
