I imagine thats because It would take too much effort to implement. Making every single hole for every word, including water levels, adding some plants interations, like what would happen if you plant a holy barrier on a hole. Don't get me wrong, its not that hard, but seeing how poor PvZ2 animation quality is nowadays (even the spores of Scaredy-shroom doesn't even has an Splash animation, please) It wouldn't surprise me. Yeah, Scaredy Shroom's purpose in PvZ1 was as one of the ONLY long range plants for night levels. Puff Shrooms were free, but only had a range of about 3 tiles and Fume Shrooms are fantastic but cost 75 sun in stages where there is no daytime sun drops and you only get sun from sunflowers/sun shrooms. Essentially, they are a worse peashooter to force the player to change up tactics for the night stages. Bringing it into a game with such insane modifiers as PvZ2's constant "I'm in ur base eating ur plants" type movement renders it basically useless.

Here’s my way to make scaredy shroom a somewhat good plant: • make scaredy shroom shoot it’s current shooting speed, but the closer the zombies get the fire rate speeds up and scaredy shroom gets more visually scared as the zombies approach. •once scaredy shroom hides, the zombies can walk over him instead of eating him, and the zombies that walk over his head get a stallia like slowness along with a poison effect •make scaredy shrooms art style match with the rest of the game, why does it look so out of place..? Lol

Seriously agree on the art, the animations looks more like a low budget knockoff you'd see in a copycat game rather than an official release. The eyes being mostly green rather than black with a white shine like most other plants is really offputting, and the way they inflate when shooting seems... slow? I'm not sure how to describe it but the animations definitely could use some love, not like it'll get any though...

The really weird and out of place Artstyle might be because Popcap can't use any assets from the Chinese PVZ games like PVZ All-Stars which happed to have PVZ2's artstyle and also had a design for Scaredy Shroom so they decided to make him look like a drug addict

Like seriously if you watch a video of some of these slower and lazily animated plants and speed it up by at least .25, it looks alot smoother.. but why is it not in game? Where’s the attention to detail? The quality control? It’s absurd

I think they gave it those yellow eyes to make it look like its scared and doesnt get sleep or something, but it just looks like it has jaundice. The original game's dot eyes made it look almost adorably scared and were charming. All the other returning shrooms kept their dot eyes from pvz 1 so idk why they changed scaredy-shroom's. I like your rebalance idea btw, it definitely sounds like what they would've implemented had they given it any time and effort.

1:51 it cracks me up that they gave him lower health but extra defense when near a zombie since taking damage from far away zombies is so rare that the ability is almost indistinguishable from him just having a bit more health. It feels like that old joke about rocks secretly being super soft but hardening whenever anything touches them.

A neat thing to help it could be this - It has a slow fire-rate when alone - The more Scaredy Shrooms that are nearby, the faster the fire rate - It goes from 2x slower than a pea shooter, to 2.5x faster when there is 4 other shrooms nearby - When one hides, they no longer give the faster fire rate to the adjacent shrooms

Coffee Bean is already in the Chinese Version. Don't get excited though, like almost damn near every Chinese exclusive plant, he pretty much solely exists just to counter a single overpowered zombie. Not to mention, due to PopCap's contract with TalkWeb Games, it also means they can't port Coffee Bean directly over from the Chinese version.

I think one thing that could help scaredy-shroom is turning it into more of an early game staller. With the way he looks, he reminds me of a spring. I think it would be interesting if he was a light damage dealer, until a zombie gets close, where he would then hide until a zombie steps on him. Once the zombie steps on him, he jumps in fear and springs the zombie back a few tiles, before shooting at it again. Obviously it wouldn't be good for crowds of zombies, but I think it would be good for singular targets, especially armored ones.

In PvZ 1, scaredy shroom was probably the most underrated plant in the game, with only 25 energy per sun, having a 4x cheaper peashooter with a small drawback is amazing. In PvZ 2 you get so much sun that space and dps is more valuable than just energy, making it bad. In the first game sun was actually worth something

Scaredy shroom isn't that bad. The issue is that he's not fot for the role the developers gave to him. He is meant to be a early game plant like a peashooter, wallnut and so on, that would serve it's purpose and then let others more powerful plants take over. Granted with the inclusion of unique power mint thingy he might be valuable in SOME levels, but making it a limitted time/premium plant is ridiculous.

In defence of Garlic(or atleast PV1 Garlic): Though its mechanic of moving zombies to another path, it synergizes well with Spikeweed/Spikerock by having 2 to 3 lanes full of them, with 2 to 3 garlic per lane sending zombies to them. It could potentially pair well with melonpult too(with its "aoe" damage) It works well, even if it has specific strategies that make it viable

Not shocked to see how this turned out. I haven't played PvZ2, but from the footage I've seen I can tell it's much more hectic and takes more force to keep the waves back. In PvZ1 it was able to effectively serve its niche as a discounted pea shooter for the night levels, with its weakness often being covered by stronger but more limited plants in front of it like fume shroom, walnuts, and puff shroom spam. With over twice as many zombies putting more emphasis on strong DPS and a mess of gimmicks to get them behind your lines faster, there's simply no niche for a light attacker that needs room to breathe.

I think its dumb they made scaredy schroom only 40hp in cower mode, getting one shot by zombies. To me it looks like its cap would be armor. Maybe it could have 1000 hp at lvl 1 This would make him a legitimate wall staller(way less hp then other walls, but would be very cheap, and fast cd). And it would provide minor offensive help when not walling. The goal would be to spam them in the front covering the entire front lawn with 4-5 columns.

2:14 the plant food ability with scaredy-shroom is actually really op with power tiles. In arena, if you keep using plant food on them you can get up to 20M points

Honestly, I think Scaredy-shroom was just _never_ meant to be in the game from the start. Just think about it: despite being planned but eventually scrapped, the next world that came out after Dark Ages was Big Wave Beach, one of, if not _the_ hardest world in the game. Surfer Zombies ride over the water quickly and then slam their surfboards on the first plant they encounter, Fishermen Zombies pull plants closer to their doom, Octo Zombie traps plants in octopi, the "Low Tide!" summons a bunch of zombies from the water - Scaredy-shroom wouldn't stand a chance against all of that! The later worlds aren't better, what with the dinosaurs, freezing wind, portals, etc. It's almost like PopCap _wanted_ to put him in the game, but threw him out when they considered the intense difficulty the later worlds would provide. I've noticed that a recent update has tried to improve Scaredy-shroom by increasing his health and cower defense. While it is nice, he is still not fun to use (I don't have him, so I'm just taking this from what fans have said) because his low damage and hiding mechanic makes him vulnerable to zombies that can easily overwhelm the lawn. If I were to add Scaredy to PVZ2, here's the changes I would make: 1. Give him a new design that's closer to the original. I don't know if I've made this clear but I just hate his redesign so much, he just looks like he went on crack since his disappearance. I would change it so it actually looks pleasing to look at. 2. When Zombies would get closer to him, Scaredy-shroom would start firing faster (almost like he's gradually getting scared as they creep closer) until they eventually start eating him, at which he will cower and hide. From there, his health increases, allowing him to stall zombies for his fellow plants. It's still a drawback, but it now has a purpose by allowing him to defend his fellow allies with his cap. 3. Alter his Almanac description. One thing I hate about post-2022 PVZ2 (aside from the terrible animation) is the writing. It's just littered with grammatical errors and corny and generic dialogue that feels like it was written by AI. I've also noticed that most of the Almanac descriptions for the plants are just quotes from them and not just a full-on description of their personality - which just strips them of personality. Here's my new Scaredy-shroom Almanac description: Scaredy-shroom retired from the zombie-fighting business because it was getting too much for him. Then his roommate Puff-shroom told him that the circus came to town and he was ecstatic. Then he saw all the performers were zombies. "It's like the ones with stilts were watching me." He whispered, shaking with fear backstage. We chose not to elaborate on what happened.

So, the main gimmick of Scaredy Shroom is the fact that it hides, which is not an advantage, but a drawback. In PvZ1 it worked because it was meant to balance the fact that it was a low-cost producer in the early game to facilitate night levels for you. In PvZ2 that no longer works because night levels don't exist, you get much more sun which make low cost plants like it not stand out too much, and an actual "early game" does not exist anymore. Thus, in this game it has a drawback that is not balancing anything. It has a drawback with no advantage. And so, the proper way that this plant should work is by actually giving it a proper advantage, aside from the small shield that it got but is useless. As its main gimmick is hiding, the ideal thing to do is to give it an advantage that has something to do with its gimmick, with hiding. That can be making it perform better just before it hides, or even make it do something while hiding, instead of just nothing.

Considering Scaredy was planned for Dark ages, being immune to jester is probably a feature to buff it. The code or at least ideas from that time were probably reused considering it's pf is awfully similar to Puff-shroom.

I think a pretty good buff for him would just be adding pierce to the Scaredy-Shroom projectiles. I don't actually know how powerful this would be, but it seemed like a pretty good idea to me.

in the garden warfare games, scaredy was used as a sniper turret. maybe it should use the popular idea of being able to attack an several lanes, one at a time.

He's overall pretty good in garden warfare. In gw1 he even had armor piercing making him decent in the later waves against outhouses. In both games when hiding he gets a massive defense buff that can reduce some player zombies damage down to almost nothing. Even when he isnt firing he can survive for a small while allowing the other pots/players time to save him. Special event modes with unlimited ammo let him shred z mechs with an insane fire rate. His damage is ranged based up to a total of 35 allowing him to still one shot base zombies on the hardest difficulties making him better than a lot of the others for CRAZZZY ops. Funny how he fights better on massive battlefield with dozens of highly mobile zombies than the direct sequel to the game he was introduced in. Tldr gw scaredy shroom is unironically a chad.

@@thepurplemudkip9998 yeah but if you look at the CCW, every single plant that they want to communicate as having long range, they give the ability to hit several lanes, which is why i suggested it. unfortunately, this also means that it cannot be truly unique, as it will clash with dandelion.

Great video! Really gets the point across well. As an addition: Modern pvz2 in general is simply just shameful, in recent times they've just ruined basically everything there is to ruin for the game. Fonts, UI, *seedpackets* as its visible in this video. If you've been up to speed you might have seen the latest beta leak, which is literally a *recolor* of an existing plant, "Tumbleweed". Wild stuff.

I feel a major way to improve scaredy shroom would be to make it gain a major health buff when hiding, essentially making it a cheaper weaker walnut. As well, it could do more damage to further away zombies, or could do more damage to close zombies, in order to make it actually worthwhile.

My suggestion for buffing this plant is the combination of having its spores have a slow (like Snow Pea) AND increase ASPD as a zombie walks closer. But the way how I want it played out is that instead of an indefinite slow (like Snow Pea, while Scaredy-shroom attacks it), the slow effect is only brief. So if Scaredy attack a zombie from a range, his attacks will slow for like 1/3 of a second, then as the zombie walks closer, his trait of increasing ASPD would eventually make his attacks slow zombies indefinitely, making him a good mid-range plant if you while still playing the increase defense when hiding.

The way I would rework scaredy is actually make it similar to red stinger, by giving it significantly more health when hiding (almost to wall-nut's health), which means when it's hiding at least it serves as a wall. It also can serve as a 25 sun fast recharge weaker wall plant.

@@togarashi6437yeah, my theory is that they planned on stopping updates to pvz2 to focus on pvz3 only, like they did with GW1 & GW2. However, people didn’t like the 2020 pre alpha (which I’ve grown to like, it just needed some better storyline and 3D modeling but it pretty much was a finished game) and so they restarted from scratch while deciding to keep updating pvz2 until pvz3 fully comes out.

i mean, snowpea wasn't THAT good in pvz1, it was even worse in pvz2 when it was first added cause they changed nothing about it. That was until they added a NEW ability where it can actually freeze zombies in place randomly. making it sometimes a permanent stalling-attacker plant if enough in a lane (seriously, like 3 snow-peas can take on a garg if there are no other zombies in that lane. eventually). Same with chomper. They buffed it so it can swallow 1 zombie instantly without a cooldown time, while the next chomp it digest a zombie slowly. (It can also bite zombies that are too big to fit in it's mouth, which can sometimes be useful for dealing some quick melee dmg before it gets eaten). cactus is admittedly still a shitty plant even after the buff. but at least they _tried_ to change it. with the hiding dmg and now piercing thorn. it would be lame af if ALL it did was pop balloon zombies (where in pvz2 virtually any attacker can kill it now, unlike pvz1 where it evaded projectiles) point is, they didn't even try and change it or give it a new ability. feels almost like an april fools joke to pay for 20$ for a plant that was shit to begin with

I think a large reason why Scaredy was added is that he seems REALLY easy to code into the game. After all, he's just a reskinned Peashooter that "deactivates" whenever a zombie is in a 3x3 radius around it. Seems a lot easier to code than something like Doomshroom, which would need a whole new 5x5 explosion radius to be coded, which can't just be lifted from a plant like Cherry Bomb. Just my 2 cents though.

I think part of the problem with the addition of pvz1 plants in pvz2 is them being seedium. Plants like Pumpkin and Scaredy shroom have such basic mechanics that are relatively left untouched, and the grind for them just doesn't feel worth it. They definetly should've made them part of story mode, by atleast making expansions to words like dark ages.

Honestly, even if I originally thought Scaredy-shroom would've done fine in DA in the past, looking at it actually in DA, it really would've hindered the player more than helped (Also bonus Chinese version reference of having Jester not reflect). I also have to agree with you that it was removed because the developers realized how crappy it was at the time, it was the unused plant with the most work done compared to the rest, including using placeholder PvZ1 art like Puff-shroom and Sun-shroom did. I could see Scaredy working in a PvZ2 mod where the levels were longer, however it would still need to have an ability in order for it to be any good. The slow and poison abilities you mentioned are interesting, with slow being my favorite out of the two. It gives the plant a use while incapacitated, while not removing the drawback of it hiding, I feel like in this case you'd need way more defense during the hiding phase though.

My only issue is, we already have sap-fling if you want to buy a plant that just perm slows, yet barely does any real damage. and sap-fling is already dirt cheap, just one in each column and that's all u need. I think it needs more imo. but then again, this plant was always intended to be weak garbage. it is literally just meant to be a slightly better puffshroom, (and even that is debatable since puffshroom pvz1 was even better cause it didn't rot). it had this same problem too, zombies like diggers and bungee invalidated the hell out of scardey, since it would trigger multiple scardeys to hide. Ironically, in a way it hiding, instead of rotting like puff shroom, is an even bigger weakness. At least puff will continue to do a little bit of damage as it's gotten close to being eaten, as it still fires. Scardey won't do damage if there's anything close AT ALL. plus MULTIPLE scardeys can be disabled at the same time, and they get eaten anyways (it's not "hiding" in the sense of being psuedo-invincible like spikeweed either). idk mang. maybe make it explode upon contact or smth? like a small burst of dmg after it's stepped on. kinda like a psuedo-starburst (green) almost, that's cheap and spammable. (though still, that's kinda bomb flowers thing)

I'd honestly continue to use Scaredy. Mainly because when utilized from a rear defense and then combined with other plants that may be worse. You often tend to mitigate its cons. But also given how cheap the plant is, is good for slowing down zombies. Giving you just a slimmer of extra time to get better plants in your load up ready.

@@monke7919 Well, Primal Peashooter's shots have RNG attached to them. Either they stun the zombie for a bit, or they push it, not even Gargantuars are safe from the knockback. All for the nice price of 175 sun. And also having slightly higher damage than Repeater to compensate for the slower fire rate. The thing is, if we give Scaredy Shroom (a 25 sun Peashooter) the knockback effect of Primal Pea, then anything that isn't a Miner Zombie will be able to get close to it, and that's pretty op.

To be honest with you... I feel there's something that was missed or glossed over with Scaredy Shroom. I feel the defense boost up would've made it either an alternative to Red Stinger or a more balanced upgrade. I feel scaredy has one of the most potential in all of the plants. Just needs to find it's courage! :) I personally like the idea of a transitioning offensive/defensive plant. Though I feel Scaredy could use a bit of support when planted. Like synergizing with Aloe giving him poison projectiles when healed or pare him with Iceweed or Sapfling to slow the zombies down. Even Impear could help with the more quicker enemies like Football or Newspaper (Or Them darn chickens and weasels since when they eat Impear or Hypnoshroom they just die emediatly if you prefer that way of use). I mean they all have their flaws but really it depends on your playstyle. As for the design I feel it's more expressive than the original when looking at it artistically, and if anything makes Scaredy stand out more. * He also reminds me of Courage the Cowardly Dog, starring Courage, the Cowardly Dog. At the end of the day, it all depends on your thew of design. *Sorry with the unintentional puns :)

Scaredy Shroom was a life saver for PvZ 1's night levels. Scaredy Shroom does not fit in with the PvZ 2's gameplay because of the lack of sun limitation in the sequel. Also most of the zombies in PvZ 2 can easily reach the back of the garden.Those zombies can easily destroy the Scaredy Shrooms because of the Scaredy Shroom's hiding ability. Scaredy Shroom needs a HUGE buff in order to be used in PvZ 2.

Honestly, my first thought with Scaredy and how he'd be balanced, I imagined his role in the Garden Warfare series. In that game, Scaredy is a deployable sentry that shoots high powered precision shots, but also hides and gains a defense buff if zombies got close. I imagined something like this with Scaredy. I would have loved to see him shooting high powered shots but at a reduced fire rate, and still have his scaredy debuff, all at around, eh, 125 or 150 sun?

Ever since mega Gatling pea, I always considered that if scaredy shroom got into PvZ, obtaining the health of a Wallnut or an infinut (+wallnut aid) while hiding would be a good idea, making him work as a front line early defense to make sun production easily against basics while not using your instants too early. Working as a support attacker, and keeping its sun cost at 25 so it doesn’t become peanut 2, alongside a better cower radius (3x1). It was such a missed opportunity by the devs, and making it an *ARENA PLANT* to put salt on the wound.

scaredy shroom was usable in pvz1 since during the nigh levels, your only easy access attacker, was the little tiny shroom, which had shoddy range, so having something that was longer range was useful when you had stunted sun production

How to fix: 1. Make it hide when a zombie approaches near it on one lane 2. Shit ton of health when hiding (just make it a wall nut or something) 3. Slow all zombies in a 1x3 area (later becomes 2x3 (the other column facing either upwards or downwards respective to which row the shroom is planted in) and then 3x3 area as it levels up)

I had a fun idea about what could've happened with Scaredy Shroom. I thought similarly to how they made Cactus a combo of Laser Bean and Spikeweed, the could've made Scaredy a combo of Spring Bean and a Peashooter. My vision was when a zombie reaches a hiding Scardy Shroom it would enter a "panic attack" state, springing zombies on its tile back and rapid firing for a few seconds (provided there are no other zombies) and once it wears itself out it hides and instead acts like a weak wall. Plant food would make its bounce further and give it armor.

OK I have an idea on how to make scary shroom good but I don't know if it makes overpowered or not, When in its hiding state scary shroom gets equivalent to 75% of a walnuts HP, fires more rapidly the closer zombies get Before making it hide, and when it first Hides aka While it's Falling to the floor it sends out a 3 by 3 Poison area for 30 Seconds. I have a very awesome idea for scaredy shroom: -since scaredy shrooms sprite is pretty skinny firstly it would like pumpkin where you add another plant on the same tile with it -whenever scaredy shroom hides,if there was another plant on the same tile, that plant gets a mini attack rate buff about 2% or more, this could make scaredy shroom pretty fun and could make some powerful combo's -it also has a much slower seedpacket cooldown so it wouldn't be that op Although these would basically remove the regular purpose of scaredy shroom as its more now a supportive plant than an earlygame offensive since it is a seed packet plant and since seed packet arent usually for earlygame only Otherwise just make scaredy shroom free in dark ages and atleast then you dont have to grind for a garbage shroom

Lmao, when I saw the video in my recommended feed, I audibly laughed aloud cause I found it immensely hilarious that after 6 months you come back with a banger 25 minute diss track on a plant. Loved the video. From the devs pov, If they just TRIED to do anything original with scaredy shroom, it might’ve made it passable, but they legit just made it tankier, sort of. What I would do to make it “usable”, is 1 of 2 things. Maybe they could’ve made it super super super fast with recharge so people can do those last stands at the end of the level where the zombies are at the back of the lawn and you’re just spamming plants to stall them for your instas. This is assuming you didn’t already realize that you could’ve had a more useful plant in it’s place. The other idea I had was to just make it cost no sun at that point. If the whole plant is just to be a cheap spam-able unit, just go fully into the idea to make it a no loss investment plant for early waves and a free body shield for mid waves. Of course you’d also need to tweak other things possibility to supplement this, like maybe do a sort of lily pad plant food when plant fooded, or give a metal helmet for protection like how moon flower sets up a barrier for their plant food. But it’s then it’s after all of this that you realize that if a plant needs this much extra support, maybe you should’ve canned it. Edit: Also another idea I had after writing all of this is that if you don’t want to go the cheap and spam-able route, perhaps they could’ve given him a sniper based attack where the further their shot travels, the more damage it does, like what the item “Lump of Coal” does in Binding of Isaac

To balance it (as an arena plant), they should have Scaredy activate its Plant Food Ability for free upon death, causing nearby Scaredy in 3x3 area to activate their plant food ability. That way, spamming them is encouraged and gives more incentives to use it in the more powerful game modes.

Scaredy shroom does not work in PVZ2, the devs realize this but they decided to add it anyways for nostalgia bait, the obvious reason why scaredy shroom worked in the original game is because there weren't that many early threats in the night levels, plus you don't use them at the start since you don't have that much sun shrooms, scaredy shroom only becomes helpful you managed to get atleast a single row of sun shrooms then you can afford scaredy shrooms easily, but then started to upgrade your arsenal with fume shrooms for hordes of zombies as well as screen door zombies, Scaredy shroom in PVZ2 is about as helpful as the peanut peashooter hybrid plant..

the fact that I agree, and yet scaredy shroom has gotten me the most score in arena out of any plants I used before in arena. I got over 3.5 Million once. I have low level on all my plants.

I mean, theres a reason why scaredy shroom was scrapped originally... it was a like pea shooter which doesn't do anything when zombies get too close, it worked (somewhat) in pvz1 since in that game there was a 25 sun meta and only sun producers were sun flower and sun shroom, and unlike current sun shroom it didnt had the ability to produce more sun than sun flower, so a cheap attacker worked there slightly better, but in pvz2 where theres a 50 sun meta and high health dense waves zombies, meaning that usually cheap plants which work (except puff) are usually stalls, pvz2 has a lot of heavy hitters, crowd control, instas, scaredy doesnt fit at all in the game, at least pea and cabbage are supposed to be starter plants so them being crap is somewhat understandable, but the addition of scaredy shroom i just see as bad fan service, they could've reworked scaredy as a long range artillery which does heavy damage while being vulnerable to ambush, but oh no we have another garlic instead, popcap why... whats next? Them adding cob cannon as is and having it be outclassed by banana? Adding plantern for only a arena gimmick?Popcap has really fallen off badly... the fact the soft launches of pvz3 were basically copies of generic mobile games shows the company became a husk of a shell of its former self

One thing I thought would make it usable was to make it function kinda like eclise's dusk lobber. Making it unkillable to normal zombies when hiding, and have it only hide when a zombie is on it. this would make it a cheap damage plant that takes space in the front where you normally wouldn't use anything. but than again that would require popcap caring about balance

I'd argue that Scaredy Shroom is a POWERHOUSE in arena. When assisted by Tile Turnip (which can be set up quickly thanks to Primal Sunflower), it can wipe every zombie on screen with ease. Primal Wall-nut is great defense early game as you stock up on Plant Foods. And while it goes downhill late into the match, by then you've likely already racked up 1 MIL or more points, passing your opponent by a landslide.

What if the closer a zombie gets the faster and stronger his shots become but once he actually starts getting eaten THEN he will hide and plant food ability gets reworked into a giant purple bubble spore that collects multiple zombies as it goes down the lane pushing them back Edit: and it still calls all surrounding scardy shrooms to use a plant food ability as well

its surrtenly an upgarde to the peashooter. especially with the fact that mushrooms don't sleep during the day in this game. in pvz1 it also was an upgrade to the peashooter, but only on ngiht levels, again, it deals the same amount of damage as a peashooter (at least the amount of shots needed to kill a zombie is identical) it recharges way faster, and costs way cheaper. the problem with this plant in pvz2 is that its just a cheaper peashooter, and peashooter already sucks on later levels, so it stops being relevant when peashoter stops being relevant (summrized this video in one comment lol)

Well peashooter is an absolute powerhouse when you get him to level +5. Also his seed packets are very easy to get, while scaredy shroom’s aren’t.

I've watched Heroes stop getting updates. I've watched GW2 stop getting support: Why? So they could update BfN once a month and then give up on it less than a year since it's release. It should have 3-4 times HP when hiding. They should also hide right before they're taken a bit out of, or as soon as it happens, and unable to be kicked, moved, or knocked back when hiding. So probably right before they're attacked. It should also shoot faster the closer a zombie is, until it's too close and it hides.

The ways it could take damage without hiding are ranged attacks, invisible zombies, zombies pretending to be flowers, and being attacked from behind.

I guess the reason because PopCap choosed to add Scaredy Shroom instead of another Pvz1 plant is because they already maded Scaredy Shroom's codes in the past, so they needed to make the sprites

If you want my opinion on how to buff scardy, my ideas are either: 1. When it hides into the ground, it becomes a spring bean and launches zombies multiple tiles down the lane (at the cost of some health of course) 2: when it hides, it essentially becomes a wall nut
