I worked for a restaurant owned by Chili's "Grady's American Grill". We cooked bacon on sheet pans in the oven. CRISPY. saved them in the prep table, separated by wax paper or paper towels. ALWAYS stayed crisp for the entire day. THAT bacon you have, is a disgrace

Bro, they got rid of the chicken crispers that I loved from them for YEARS. They got rid of cheesesteaks a long time ago. They got rid of the onion blossom because outback was doing it better. They got rid of SO much over the years that was good, and kept other stupid things like Pasta. I'm sorry for the L you experienced at that spot.

Love when you guys do videos together! My wife and I just went to chili's the other day. Our favorite apps: the egg rolls and fried pickles. Probably haven't found any better fried pickles. I usually steer towards Buffalo dishes, and every one I've gotten at my local chili's has been the same for years, pre and post pandemic shutdowns. Also, I do need to rant a little. No tipping pisses me off. I'm a massage therapist, and we also basically live on our tips. If you get someone horrible, I get it, but at least in my field, we put our backs and sweat into massages. And people can get VERY picky about it, to the point where it's obnoxious. It's like patrons don't understand that we actually have to work on other people AND be able to do this for years. I've come out of sessions drenched in sweat, giving deep tissue/sports massage that the client said was amazing, but no tip, even when prompted by the front desk. "I already gave it to them in the back" is one we hear often, and that's the worst. You're a cheapskate. Tip your workers, even if it's sub par to you! We all know who are the ones who don't tip, don't think that we don't talk about it amongst ourselves. We're doing our job, make it worthwhile for us. Help us keep a roof above our head. Too many people nowadays are selfish and don't understand that the people helping them have bills and their own problems as well. Waitresses/waiters, massage therapist, barbers, tattoo artists, ect, tip us all! We survive on it. People need to see it when the shoe is on the other foot. Rant over. Apologies lol

I had a terrible experience with it a couple weeks ago, and I left a review on google, and it’s only gotten more bad reviews since then. Maybe something to keep in mind for a future review if you’re ever around there.

Thanks for posting Daym. I enjoyed having Badlands on it as well. I was wondering what Chili's was like and now I know. I won't try them out even though I don't live in Connecticut but there is one in Times Square. The food looked horrible, not surprised by the review at all!

Always good seeing Badland Chugs Daym. I've never eaten at any Chilis before. You're right by suggesting they scale down their menu and focus only on a few items they do best. I remember watching Gordon Ramsay on one of his Kitchen Nightmares episode do exactly that for a failing restaurant and their business was saved. Another great review guys.

Daym, I used to like the chicken pasta at my local (Inglewod, CA) Chilis. Then, I bought the EXACT SAME ENTREE out of the freezer at the grocery store for $3.49. It became imposible to order it for $12.99 at the restaurant.

Worked at Chili's for 4 years in the early 2000's the SW Eggrolls don't miss, as long as they are cooked through. Will let you know anything coming from the fryer besides the Bloomin Onion (if they still have that option), chips and the chicken crispers is frozen. Oil is usually changed out completely after 3 days. The place I worked at had 4 fryer vats, the one the Crispers and Country Fried Steaks (CFS) goes in is day 1 and fresh. After that it's the previous days, they do get strained each night. It's really up to the fry cook and amount of space/orders as to what vat they use for what item. That bacon looks like you ordered it medium, yikes.

Daym, you know I respect the hell out of you and love you like a brother, but big man the server came to see you twice after the bacon incident and you could have given the restaurant the opportunity to make it right. You are always preaching not to beat the restaurant in the head for things when they can be fixed.

I don’t do the triple dipper. I prefer a full thing of southwest egg rolls for my app. They really are my go to. I don’t have a regular go to for the main course. Sometimes I am snacky and just get some fries and boneless wings. I have never been disappointed with our Chillis.

The last time I went to the one in Southington it wasn't the best ether. My girlfriend had an ok quesadilla but I do agree the burger doesn't have any flavor. I got a Texas burger with BBQ sauce and onion rings on it. The BBQ sauce had more flavor then the beef patty and the onion rings were not crispy. Big Steve's in Plainville is one of my favorite burger spots.
