Common theme between this one and Oceans 11: the villain (or as much of villain as Oceans 11 had) is played by a far more charismatic actor than any of the main characters (Oceans 11 had Caesar Romero, this had Peter Falk)

Re: the squibs thing, I dunno if squibs specifically existed, but Sanjuro came out 2 years before this, which had the super famous katana-inflicted blood spray scene, so surely they could have done *something*. I mean it cuts away from him to show the mobsters shooting, cut back and he's got holes in his shirt, could have been that simple.

Please watch one of the Bob Hope& Bing Crosby "Road..." movies. I have no idea which one. Road to Morocco, maybe? I love them all, and I'm old, but not old enough for that to be excusable. However, I fucking love the way they work together. Actually, fuck that, watch Duck Soup. Marx Brothers. Greatest movie ever made. And yes, I DID like The Last Jedi.
