ALSO, sugar is okay in moderation! It's just that many snacks nowadays are loaded with *way* more than you actually need. And yes, some brands of granola or protein bars can also be unhealthy. That's why I go for the reduced sugar versions, which tend to have more fiber. Granola might not be the healthiest thing in the world, but it's better than a bowl of Froot Loops. 💀
@@justabd4048 just avoiding reality and assignments. I’m usually very optimistic, just am having a bad week. Honestly a bad first semester. Got an extension and still was stupid enough to waste that time. I’ve got an entire day to do a dozen assignments worth of work, wish me luck.
@@joehernandez3492 Why not? You wanna live a long boring sad life? I'd rather have a short fun life than a long boring one where I have to suffer not being able to do and be as I want.
While I definitely try to be self conscious of what I eat, it's also difficult when all of the healthier snacks, bars, anything really is waaaaay more expensive than the normal junk food alternatives. In my opinion, try going for cereal like honey bunches of oats or something else that doesn't look as sugary. For some cheaper products that are just as good for you, you can buy small packets of oatmeal that you microwave and it tastes just as good. Peanut butter is an easy choice too if you like eating it. By far the hardest part I have is trying to eat a calorie surplus on a strict schedule and a limited budget, it's easy to gain calories the junk food way but if you wanna do it right then you gotta sacrifice either some extra time or money 😔
"Please DO NOT eat. Eating distracts you from studying which could lower your grades from an A+ to a C-. Instead I recommend eating just enough oats every 7 hours to stay alive so that you can study."
Bro this is more gym advice than anything 💀 the average college student don’t care about eating healthy, they struggle to even eat with the debt their in 😭
General health advice, eating clean increases _both_ physical and cognitive performance. Anyone with a brain could likely figure out that it’s probably good to do something that increases your cognitive performance if your goal is better grades/academic achievement.
As someone who doesn't eat granola at all, this one girl would bring LITERALLY FRICKING BAGS of granola to school and just give them to me and I'd enjoy them like I've never eaten a single grain in my life
@@mrmadflan4547 why can’t he evangelize? I don’t see the problem. He’s doing his duty to the Word and he’ll have a great reward in heaven. It’s ok when people force “other” things on us iykyk but if you even talk about God you get “canceled”. Crazy 🤦🏽♂️
Well, it's just for people who wanna eat healthy but you can do you. We have one life eat whatever and do whatever you want as long it isn't hurting other people trying to enjoy their life.
Eat whatever you want but me personally I already don't enjoy anything mentioned, especially sodas, and I love granola and yogurt so I have no complaints.
It’s pretty good, more uploads and some very helpful ones all at an extremely faster pace, coming up with better ways to study/focus will be harder to find so I think it’s fine personally.
I like the idea, but as someone who's dabbled a bit more into the health and fitness world I can tell it's not as in-depth as what you bring with your study tips. In this specific case one could even argue snacks as a whole are a bad idea, since cutting them out not only saves time and money (obvs get your full nutrition in with your regular meal/meals), but your body wont have to divert resources to process new food. Props for healthy choices though! I like the direction, it just might need a smidge more time looking things up to confirm. If I were to talk about food in the context of students, I'd do it like snippets from my strength and conditioning class I took back in HS when it was a classroom day, talking about basics of nutrition, like a more focused health class. Keep up the good work, your study tips helped me really nail a rhetorical analysis I did, least I can do is try and pay it forward here 😄
i will gladly take my candy, soda, and other sugary snacks to college so at last some parts of it wont be boring 🤲 if i ever start watching what ill eat ill take the video to heart
A pro tip for college is to wake up 20 minutes earlier than you actually need to so you can have time to get ready and go to the food court. That's why you always have an alarm set so you've never sleep N
I barely function without sugar and I'm in collage I've learned that all this is wrong eat what you want the only thing I don't recommend is ALOT of sugar because you'll have a sugar rush at your first/any class and a sugar crash the next one, out of experience
What about cereals like raisin bran, plain cheerios, and a sprinkle of honey nut cheerios every now and then for a sugar dose? I have learned those are some of the best healthy cereals. I have also learned that when i share a dorm room i have a recipe “book” in google docs that is constantly edited and shared with my roommate. That allows for constant cheap and good food. Good video btw!
people need to hush, he’s not saying you should never eat this stuff in college, he’s just giving recommendations for staying more healthy while in college (it makes you feel better anyway) you can eat your sugary cereal if you want, just don’t attack the guy
I thought this was gonna be about what's practical to have in a dorm room. Personally, I always keep a little box of candies and cookies in my dorm so that if someone's looking after my pets for the weekend or just stopping in to say hi, they can get a nice treat while they're here. Also, yogurt is great and all (though most of those probiotics die in your stomach acid), but it doesn't keep long and isn't super cheap.
“Don’t eat sugar, eat granola and granola bars which are full of sugar and carbs” Just because something doesn’t have much ADDED sugar doesn’t mean you’ve found a loophole. It’s still glucose at the end of the day
My fave was adding oats, pinch of salt, some seeds and dry fruit to a jar and just keep that in my bag. If I needed a snack i could just find a kettle and top it with boiling water, let it sit a bit and boom, snack done. Keeps roughly forever and cheap af.
My tip is logg everything you don't need out. That way when you get micro-distracted and mindlessly open the tab for like twitter you get the login page as a reminder to shut it down again. I use RU-vid for music when I study, but I open that up on the phone, and put the phone away. And pomodoro. So everytime I'm like "I just want to check bla bla", I'll jot it down and then check when the pomodoro timer hits break.
Teacher of mine was telling me how In College, all she ate was Mac and Cheese to save (and because she liked It), she ended up getting these cuts and bumps all over her body. Doctor said she was malnourished
