the best attack in mk 11 is in my mind cetrion's tornado or her earthquake but I would say you could use jacqui's bionic bounce or sub zero's slide as honorable mention
Mkx mileena's quick taste (ravenous variation) should receive an honorable mention because it deals a lot of damage, is easy to combo into, it's impossible to escape and it recovers a small amount of health.
They could just make it enhanceable and if you do it turns into a parry so it's a 50/50. You either try and get a free punish then get parried or you just let him get the debuff for free. It seems like an interesting mind game type thing that works a lot for Shao Kahn. Of course if you enhance they don't get the debuff. It should also be in his base kit but the parry be equipable. This would make the move be gimmicky but still usable.
@@watersheep5535 good idea. And make it that when You do actually enchance it at get a parry, Shao says "You suck" while getting a hit, that would be awesome 😄
@@Raviell87 or, like G in SFV who has a taunt that gives him one more level in presidentiality, Shao Kahn should be able to cancel his combo enders in the taunt.
It’s saddening that Skarlet’s blood ritual could’ve been made into a full gimmick with crimson shield and blood rain. The shield would’ve removed the self harm damage while the rain could’ve accelerated the d.o.t on the opponent or just straight up heal Skarlet.
I was playing MK11 with my friend and had the Endoskeleton equipped, as soon as I died I was like “your going to enter a world of hurt” then he hit A once and I died. So I agree it’s the worst
It's actually a pretty interesting mechanic too, especially since it's a reference to the movie but it sucks they didn't do it justice. Honestly, it could be a lot better if they added armor or made it similar to Jason's reanimation in mkx
@@murasakino101 Endoskeleton HAS permanent armour. It is just that the health it gives you back is rubbish, and armour does not make you take less damage. I wish Terminator with that move would recover 80% of total health bar, and it would be a question of “can you AFFORD to end me, or will your health run out before then?”
Skarlet was the first character I was excited to play, jumped right into the lab with her at launch and I thought "oh what blood ritual?! A command grab input? Hell yeah" I'm a fan of the characters with command grabs so that move ending up being that terrible was upsetting to say the least
One could argue Sheeva's stomp in MK11 was a her best move and also annoying. But since it got a huge nerf recently I will say the other best/annoying attack is Jacqui's bionic bounce in my opinion.
@@donniedarko7579 i wouldn't say it's annoying and since both of them are just mediocre so it never been a problem with me unless you're saying casual since in competitive,very rare that it work consistently after doing it once
@@13thKingMu yeah, it's only a problem if the player doesn't abuse it. Often times you can make that read if you're low on health. More than likely it's the throw because they want to close you out. Every other time, it's wiser to eat the throw punish than the full combo. Still, it pisses me off sometimes to get opened up on something I consider so risky and fake. But I suppose those two needed something to make the viable. I wish NRS would be more creative rather than give throw strings to characters or 50 health buff.
The slide especially since it can punish just about anything and has a nice fat KB. Kano's Bio Pull is an honorable mention in terms of punishing moves that have alot of pushback. Plus, it can start combos.
Another move that is great but also a hindrance is Jason's killing machine move(gives him armor but he cannot jump, also the power down stops him mid combo/mid attack)
Didn't know point two. That's lame. But yeah, the problem with Vanish moves are that I can't see where I'm at either. Better idea in theory, than in practice lol
@@GavishRaptor does holding down block not help? It helps me on Nightwolf's U2 to recall his axe in the Moonfall move. Otherwise, he will likely jump when performed in isolation. In a combo string, it occurs much easier like with Vanish. Holding block also helps me with the DBF command grab input many characters have. Releasing it as I input the final 12 or 3 to finish the input.
I was thinking it should have been on here too. When I first saw a mileena move set video, I saw vanish and was like "tf is this?" They could have just kept the move she had in mkx for her ethereal variation since that one can actually be used for mix ups plus she actually disappears. You can just see where her sai is to find her
Here’s my idea on how to buff Endoskeleton. On the final round, if you have already used fatal blow, return as the ending skeleton when at 30% hp. 50% less damage taken.
That would make that a move everyone would use especially if it could chain into her 212 launcher. Hell, I'd even pick her up again because it wasn't all the easy to land that move. It would make her damage better than average I'd say. Example: 12, BR Cancel, 212, 212, etc...
I actually quite like Shao Kahn. Now yes, I only actually had the money for MK11 recently and mostly played Injustice 2 or MKX. But as I've played Shao Kahn in both time towers and story mode recently, I have found that quite a lot of his moves I like. He is basically Bane from Injustice 2 in my own opinion.
Actually, I learned it's best to use the taunts while the opponent can't react (for example, if they're up in the air I'll just activate the damage buff and go for the crushing blow). Sane with the dark priest.
As terrible as blood ritual is, there has been many times I have one matches using that move. I feel like the developers intended to make that move as an extension to many of her krushing blows that have DOT damage. It’s still a terrible move, but it still has it’s purpose (more or less)
For best attacks in MK9, I'd go with these: MK9 - Smoke's teleport (insanely fast), Kabal's Nomad Dash (cancels everywhere), Kung Lao's spin (good in a ton of situations), Sonya's Commando Stance (gave her insane, repeatable pressure). Honorable mention to both Jax's ground pound and Quan Chi's ground burst meter burn for both allowing some crazy infinite scenarios. MK9 is the only game I've played enough to give a real opinion on anything.

The thing is, Skarlet's Blood Ritual is supposed to damage her. Per her character storyline, Shao Khan no doubt purposely taught Skarlet blood magic, knowing that it would eventually kill her, similar to Rieko in the MKX komics when Havik convinced him to become a blood god just to kill him in order to rip Shinnok's amulet out of Reiko's body.
Quan chi has a move similar to Rain's called "skeletal boost" that no one ever used because it was so slow to this day I wish you could use it when your opponent was in the middle of trance it would have made his character so much more fun
Bo Rai Cho's drink can be really good if you can time the drinks well. I've seen lots of combos where you can time the throw up to end at a specific time where you won't be vulnerable. But yeah overall it's pretty bad, unless you're essentially a pro or a almost perfect at the character.
Pause, Shao Kahns grab is not unblockable, it's a high grab with a startup animation, Honestly I think in this profile, I have vid of me winning with the Endoskeleton onljne
Smoke’s Shake in Mk9 has to be up there… frame one, unblockable once triggered if I remember correctly, lasts forever, built up meter and enhanced would counter anything.
Shao Kahn's worst attack is upward hammer because it is a slow and super punishable blow, the taunt at least has a good damage which compensates for its long duration (which is viable by sending the enemy away or approaching with hammer jump) ask more buffs for the character would be too much because he is currently quite good but I would greatly appreciate the change of small details that make the community still reject him)
Shaos Air Hammer, Baraka’s Banner Bash/Staked/Banner Charge, and Jax has a move called Buckshot or something, I’ve NEVER seen it get used, it’s not even a real projectile.
I feel like Shao Kahn should work similarly to Nagoriyuki from Guilty Gear. Give him oppressive damage and pressure but poor mobility and force him to taunt occasionally to balance it out.
The endoskeleton one is a shame. This should be the special that terrifies the opponent like back in the movie since he should be nigh unstoppable once triggered
That kinda does not make sense. Endoskeleton is equally strong as base terminator. It is just the terminator without the skin on him…. I honestly wish they would have made Terminator 100% armoured by default. Akin to permanent “terminate” move, which can be countered by proper spacing, teleports and projectiles, and armour breaks. And then return 80% of HP bar when he “resurrects”. So, a fight against terminator is a game of “can I avoid him long enough, or will my health run out before then?”

I thought the SJW developers would have loved the whole blood witch vibe. Makes you wonder what their whole concept behind her was. Mediocre zoning with high projectiles. I guess the slow ball is good for meta as you can teleport as it approaches your opponent full screen. The tentacles can be easily jumped. Skarlet gives me absolutely no problems. Her overhead is punishable made worse by the fact it has a KB, which means greedy players will go for it = Punish City. Her fastest string 124 I can FB punish with regularity. All she can really do is throw me because she has no juggle specials. What was NRS thinking? Well her and Robo Cop both have no slotted juggle moved. That's crazy.
@@donniedarko7579 maybe if they fix her speed she can work a little bit better, she’s the only character with teleport that it’s really slow to perform and recover, too sad she was in the beta and at the same time she seems to be an unfinished character.

You should look up Michel Venom Page (MVP) he's a fighter for bellator and has literally beaten people up using drunken fist. He has also cracked open someone's skull with a flying knee and threw a pokeball at them immediately after.
Shao kahn damage can be alot higher than 40%.. If u have dark priest active (d,d1) active plus the taunts its does easily 50% or higher I've seen it on KL and it was done to me 😂
How about ranking character move lists from top to bottom. For example, Nightwolf got alot of specials that aren't really worth equipping. Whereas, Kano has so many awesome abilities.

You should have mentioned Quan chi’s sky drop it was easily the worst armored wake up and was so easy to notice because he has to go through a flashy green portal and every one in mkx could punish it
Am I smoking something or what? I don't remember custom variations ever NOT being a thing in MK11. In fact I remember it being really annoying that when I got the game I had to go in an change all of my variations to the tournament variations since for some reason the default variations are not the tournament variations.
I still think skarlet blood ritual is the worst. They could've flipped the damage so they enamy takes more damage than her but that would make too much sense
