A brief video essay regarding the removal of Global Chat and how, personally, this is one of the worst, if not the WORST update Clash of Clans has received in its 10 years of being globally available.
Join me for a brief adventure through 2019 and beyond whilst we reflect on Global Chat and truly come to the conclusion that not enough has been done to combat the communication issues that arose since the removal of Global Chat!
I FINALLY ADDED SUBTITLES! They take forever to make though so expect my production time to slow down a bit for future videos, I've been needing to make this change for a long time and I finally did it!

call me nostalgia blind all you want but global chat was peak in spite of some of its glaring issues at the time of its removal; it's a shame that supercell was unwilling to moderate it but i also understand why... let's just hope they fix some of the communication issues i mentioned in this video! enjoyed this video? join my discord server here! discord.gg/9hQzYVYD2T

unfortunately there were a lot of minors being groomed by adults pretending to be minors. This was hard to moderate 24/7 across the various different languages and so they shut it down.

content quality is being upped a lot, personally i found myself clicking off about half way through the vids because the amount of edits and quality of vid decreased as it went on, but i feel like you've been able to maintain the same quality consistently throughout this whole vid, gg!

Glad you enjoyed the constant editing as well as quality being maintained throughout! Weirdly enough, this video has one of the lowest engagement rates in my channel's history but I honestly think that might be some weird flaw as of right now it's the second-best best video I've ever released performance-wise! Thanks for tuning in and I look forward to maintaining this quality throughout, even if it does mean less uploads!

@@NaidvarRambles yes i was curious how the retention would be for the video, interesting… also i saw you added subtitles and understand how much of a pain that can be. if you don’t already do this, you can add automated subtitles through adobe, and although they aren’t the most accurate things, they’re useful to add a rough baseline and then you can manually edit the parts where the automatic subtitles misunderstood what you were saying. ultimately, it could just be something that saves some time so you can upload a bit sooner :)

@@swagiichu I've tried using Adobe automated subtitles but these subtitles really don't enjoy my accent, and a lot of words were painfully wrong, so I decided to just skip rendering the video without them and instead do it all by hand; it's slightly harder but I would rather ensure accuracy and quality, as this also allowed me to keep my editing quality consistently high and maintain a level of quality assurance I had never done so before... less uploads in a small window, more uploads of higher quality; quality over quantity, I think that slight delay pays off!

I started a clan on April 16th 2021. The first ever clan named queen charge its level 15 now. I have 5 minis in the clan thats how i got the clan to level 5. Thats when i was able to get members to start joining. We win lots of wars 168 wins 76 losses, but Its tough starting a clan now. And even though im established. Im a max player on my main account. Its still rough being a clan leader. Its hard to get good players to join your clan and even harder to get players to stay. It seems like clash is kinda dropping off again.

I miss global chat not because of the nostalgia but because it was genuinely useful back in the earlier days of clan recruitment and now a few town halls later and global chats removal coming 4 years ago; communication between people and actual recruitment has been transformed into an arduous task

Yes, exactly! It always wasn't easy recruiting members, but there was way more connection when you spend so much time messaging in global and finally recruited a new good player.
