The reason why Clash wont ever die is because it's like Minecraft. You just get those sudden motivation to play the game for a few weeks and then just completely forget about it. Even if Clash seems to die out slowly, the best idea for the devs would be to ask us players about the new updates, what would we really like in future etc etc.
Ofc they will do that, coc devs really care about the community and their ideas. They took many ideas from the community in the past, and they will continue doing it and I'm sure there are somany ppl with really creative mind who can come up with great ideas to keep the game going
And it's like I come back to a bunch of stuff and boosts for a good bit where I can smash upgrading and everything with being able to use max level stuff If u didn't level it your self and your stuff auto upgrades when your gone for to long
As a true Minecraft player i can say it's still a lot weaker than Minecraft. In Clash of Clans content is limited, in Minecraft it's basically infinite
I am the greatest example of this, Basically stopped playing for 2 years then picked it up again because my collegemates have a clan and I wanted to join
Nah. I have a better idea. Make an alliance chat. You can add friendly clans (or multiple clans who are led by the same friend group/youtubers) so people can communicate with each other even if no one from their clan is on. Yes, it's similar to global, as it achieves the same goal of communication with more than just who's in your clan. But the difference is that people in that chat aren't randoms, hence the likelyhood of weird interactions is lower as they can be kept responsible for what they say by their clan leaders.
I too quited it 6 years ago started playing it again in late 2020 then quit in May 2022 now I am back again It's just very good game to forget about it.
i'm 30 and have been gaming since I was about 7, so about 23 years of gaming. I used to play so much that I reached a point around 18 years old where I realized I had played SO many hours of video games I felt a bit burnt out from them. I haven't gamed in a while but Clash has a very addicting system built into it imo. It is almost like Chess on steroids with cool animations. I can see myself playing this for many years just because of the Clan community
Edit: As of now, the game will not end anytime soon. There are still lots of people playing it, and they themselves are getting 100% of their own brand profits. It's not like they are using someone else IP. Plus they are putting more resources and adding newer things to the game to keep it fresh. However, with that being said, like everything, there will be an end eventually in time. The fact that this game has been past a decade is something to celebrate. Not allot of games can get that claim after all without something there being good, right?
lol it is actually never gonna happen. They will still be running the game even if there are only 1k players, it just will be less content. Otherwise, it will be the death of the company's reputation since players would be afraid to play their others games because they will end up the same way.
@@Vlad-qr5sfi agree i had a foresight a few weeks ago how one day their will be a memorial for us og day one players in honor of our deaths and how we get to choose who inherits our bases if im right our bases would be worth a pretty penny i think supercell will try fighting sales of bases but tbh i do see sales easily happening but not for much probobly $1000 of todays money adjusting for inflation theoretically should be 2-3k in money from the year 2100
@Vlad-qr5sf again, everything has an end, but it would only be once it ran it course. It's obvious it won't be anytime soon since this game made supercell what it is.
Bro i think you got it wrong. I think the video is talking about the dev’s point if view. Kinda like asking if a story will ever end or not. So the video is asking does the dev plan on continue until its no lomger profitable or they actually planning to stop on specific th? And just because its not profitable doesnt mean they will end it. They can collab or merge with another company and continue the game.
@evilshadowshadow1249 that is correct. It's more hypothetical speaking from other companies. Things usually have cost if they find that it's not making them a profit for the developers ( I.e. cost of programming, artist, testers, and server cost ), then I've seen that most companies would move on. This game is so deep in the companies DNA that I don't see it leaving anytime soon. However with anything, there is always an end.
One thing that is annoying and hooking at the same time is THE GRIND. It took me years to Townhall 10 in 2014-2016, 3 months ago i started a New account and i am already TH10. This is brilliant and headspinning. Everything is faster and cheaper than in my memory but attacks are still simillar. But all the new items, currencies, books, potions help advancing. Even today it is a great experience to start playing CoC! ❤
the developers have said that they want to keep the amount of time needed to completely max out your town hall, the relative "same" as it is throughout town halls. in effect, they want it to take just as much time to max out th16 now, as it does th18 in a few years. everything IS faster compared to your memory because with every new town hall means time and cost reductions for everything 3 townhalls below it. So ever since town hall 13, townhall 10 and below has been getting shorter and shorter and shorter to max out.
@@ahmedzaveel1665Exactly. People complaining that CoC is not f2p friendly or comparing it to Clash Royal in that regard are either ignorant or are at a high townhall level (th14+). In the case of ignorance, they just don't know what they are doing and aren't maximizing progression speed, which would put the blame entirely on them for not carrying enough to do their research. As in the case of being at a high townhall - "duh. You can't expect for progression to be fast when you're nearing the highest levels". Just like everything in life, the more you achieve the harder you have to work to achieve even more. P.S One of the good channels for maximizing progression is "BDLegend - Clash of Clans"
I think the game will "end" when it reaches townhall 20, at that point either very little can be added without getting cramped, while buildings reaching a point were you can't add more to make them standout as being an improvement from the previous level unless they make massive changes to the format of the game, I say in 3 years maybe 5 they'll stop production and only work on balance changes.
That is the worst take on clash of clans we already are at th16 and clash is the biggest money earner for supercell. And still their biggest game out performing brawl stars and cr consistently. 4 more town halls is easy to do. And they already have plans for th17 probably at least till th18. Builder base has a lot to be added to clan capital as well and they just added hero equipment which is a huge game changer. So there is alot of game changing mechanics and unique play styles that will come out of it. The game will at least go to th25
L take, the game will only end when they stop earning profit, and the village won't get cramped since they've been merging buildings and they will continue to, im sure supercell have thought of every possible solution already
@JackAnderson-np8fs that, and you can also merge elixer collectors and storages if things get to cramped. Spell factory could be combined as well. Feels like this game has another 10 good years ahead at least.
The reason I still playing it (even after multiple years of repeated stops) is the clans thing and I can play it well along with all my friends, we can enjoy the experience together.
After TH 20, you unlock a third base instead of a TH upgrade. You just start over, but it has a different theme. Like industrial age COC, then electrical age COC, then digital age COC, and so on.
Clash of clans never dies. You just take a very long break and suddenly you start playing it for months untill you just get bored and the cycle repeats.
1:25 Mistake: Yes, the attack duration was increased by 30 seconds, but it was to 3mins 30 seconds, not 3 mins. Attacks have always been 3 mins (not 2.5 mins like you said), and in fact they reverted this 30 seconds increase a few months later, back to the 3 mins we still have.
CoC will never die. I played it when it first came out, lost motivation and stopped playing it until this year. Over 10 years later 😅 one of those games where you’ll have your little stints of playing/breaks.
There are multiple ways to tight space. Merge both barracks so you will unlock both type of troops at each level, same thing with spell factories and also merging gold and elixir deposits. They can merge deposits in 2 steps:at lower TH levels you can halve so have 2 deposits per resource then at higher levels have a second merge to have only 1 big deposit of gold and elixir. As well as with army camps. So they can compact even more. 2 for both barracks and spell factories (have only 1 building that does both functions) 6 for deposits(from 8 to only 2) 3 spaces from army camps(4 merged in only 1) To assure these changes they can simply put the "new merged structure" a requirement to further advance and the job it's done. New names can be : gold/elixir vault The Half-elixir barrack(Harry potter reference) "One troop army" camp
It could possibly go like tf2 which gives updates every so often that it's enough to keep the game alive but not enough to have a peek in player count or they become something like subway surfers
I stopped in 2021 as a maxed TH13. Came back a few months ago and was amazed at all the improvements, it was a very smart move givng returning players a 1 week boost to EVERTHING and also a few free upgrades included,
The reason for not adding more buildings is also that there were a 100 buildings in total. This means that if you destroy a building with 101 buldings there is a chance for it to not impact the percentage
You are making a mistake by viewing home village progression as the sole purpose of the game. I think the builder base is fun because of the troop abilities and no training time, kind of like a mini game seperate from the main village. In that regards, the builder base is a great addition to the game.
Some ideas on how the game could expand (they are very vague): 1. A secondary main village, similar to the one in the buidler base but with different mechanics and one that doesn't need to be attacked alongside the main village to gain stars. 2. A clan capital base but personal, with collectors and farmable options for capital gold which can be used on the actual clan capital. 3. Troops vs troops arena like Clash royale but with different mechanics. 4. Beyond th20, the game could introduce bases that drastically change the game itself for players that reach there, like a space themed or an underground themed villlage with new troops and spells. It will be like transitioning into a new era of townhalls that can be started from scratch with previous levels being integrated into the new base somehow. 5. Just keep expanding the village size, attack time and no. of buildings till Th50 or indefinitely and have a set pattern for the theme being developed with each new townhall; similar to a civilization moving from medieval stage to a modern and then to a cyberpunk and futuristic stage, with the in-game bases immensely expanding to gradually become cities or kingdoms with multiple smaller bases within them. This way the game could continue to grow and pull players.
For point 3 i think a builder base style could work. 2 players will have to fight the same village and the challenge is who wipe it first. Or possibly they both fight 1 big village but one player can only deploy troops on the right side and the other in the left side and the village formation is mirrored and then whoever destroy more win. As for space, i think by moving barracks, pet house, lab, spell factory and the equipment buildings outside like put it the same grass as the tent for the merchant and supertroops will be fine. You can still upgrade them but no longer count as buildings. Pretty sure no one need collectors at higher townhall. Maybe just add a system that give 1m each rss per win.
@@evilshadowshadow1249ya collecter are useless they could do the same thing as they did with barrax to collectors and it will surely reduce the map area but it should be unlocked after a limited townhall so low th players don't have too small base
@@evilshadowshadow1249 Yes I too think this might work. The idea to put the army buildings outside of the base layout is a great idea too. Collectors do take up a lot of space, maybe merging them all together might solve the problem.
1-they probably want to stop at higher th lvl so that the game can still make money and also to actually give new players a reason to spend and reach the and of the game. 2-for space problem, they can always use the reset option. Basically it mean we have 8 archer towers now. By merging them together you get 4 merged archers and 4 free space. Then, they either add more archers and keep merging until or they can add 4 crossbow towers. Then, merge them. So now we have 4 merged archers, 2 merged crossbows and 2 free space. Then they can merge a merged crossbow with a merged archer and so by doing that and also doing the same for cannons and maybe storages, they can get huge amount of spaces and basically starting from zero again so like townhall 20 will be like a new townhall and then add new type of defenses and later merge them and the cycle repeat. Infinite space! Also, there is always the option of moving the barracks, pet house and spell factory along with the lab into the merchant/supertroops area. Basically they no longer count as buildings but can still be upgraded. Also, the new equipment building can go there.
The best thing supercell ever did was add progression when you haven't played for a couple of months and benefits when you come back, makes it super easy to get back into the game
I actually gettin back in the games 1 year ago, and feel bored after a couple of weeks playin, but the Dev actually pull an ace card to me. They put league skins, which is a legendary skin that can be purchase by F2P player, and I actually so eager to get it, and now I can't retired from the game at the moment. So yeah, Coc Devs really know how to make their games fresh and so much addictive to the community
When I was playing clash of clans at age 10, my mum asked when I’ll stop playing, I said I’ll play it forever. 11 years later I am 21, and still login nearly every day
If it got to a stage where it ran out of space then I would think something along the lines of splitting the main base in two parts(similar to BB2.0), but only using one side of it for attacks or defence, so a war base side and a collection and training side. Loot would be earned by taking out certain buildings in the war base(similair to the cookie event) but the amount you can loot from the raids is directly linked to how much loot the defenders base has in storage.
I’ve been playing since early 2013; 11 years. I’m still playing strong every day, but I can definitely see an end to the game eventually. Updates will slow down and people will slowly stop playing since they will either be burned out, or maxed out. Everything has to come to an end at some point.
There is a lot they could do. Upgrade builders, co-op attacks in raids. New troops. With new tech coming like apple vision pro. Might see new ways to play.
Ive been playing this game since it was released, there were times that i stop playing for months but would eventually play again, especially when a new townhall is out, its a fun game mainly because i play with my friends, its also very casual friendly.
I recently returned to it after 5 years and it's pretty fun lol. I as surprised that even if you don't play, the game automatically upgrades your base with only the resources from mines and drillers.
I think at this point, it likely will not die until supercell dies. There’s always new players as well as time to max lower town hall levels decreasing with every update, making it a little easier for the new players to catch up
I remember playing the game around December 2012 when I was 9 years old on my dad’s phone. Very nostalgic game which is why I think most players come back. This year was the peak of the internet I think
I just logged on yesterday after probably 2 years of not playing. I upgraded to TH16 and started some upgrades. Equipment for heroes is new for me. I’m sad they haven’t added a new hero and expanded the base. I’m running out of room for the special event trees and stuff they add to the map over time.
If the game didn’t die back in the day when everything was mad expensive it’s not gonna die anytime soon, I remember farming like crazy because a single wall upgrade was a million gold and only gold, now the game it’s more easy so
The devs have done an amazing job with this game. It should be commended. They keep adding new things and constantly keep the game feeling fresh, and they have a great balancing team.
The thing is, even if it has low players on the game, it doesn't change the fact that there are still so many bases to raid, so the average player wouldn't be affected. It's honestly genius.
A data miner that had an article banned online said that they had plans up until the end of 2025 and after that support would diminish through to March 2027. The reason that was translated was that content was getting harder to place and income was starting to slow to the point of being just above viable. Running servers and creators is expensive these days and without a huge increase in battle pass numbers then the issue of pulling the plug would have to be taken.
the thing about CoC is that you somehow always find yourslef back playing it, the last time I played daily was right before I upgraded my TH to 11 so I had my TH10 and I was trying to get to Legends league but only managed to get to Titan 2 around 4.5k trophies, I than had my TH10 maxed and after upggrading my TH to 11 I stopped playing, and now 2-3 years later I find myself playing again daily, and This has been like this since I started in 2014
I’ve been playing on and off since early 2013. Me and my friend have taken time off but always come back in spurts. I don’t think it will ever die or them actually creating an endgame TH to be the last one because they make so much money. My guess is they will make as many town halls as possible until the game ends
I just started clash of clans less than a year ago so I hope it doesn't end soon... what they should do is the same thing they did with the builder base. Just add another section of map and make it possible to 6 star the main village. Then it can go on forever when it becomes 9 starring, 12 starring, etc.etc.
Next, before you can even upgrade to Town Hall 17, you have to merge your defenses first. With that, there's no need for Clash of Clans to expand their village map again. Next, probably they will eliminate some collectors and pumps also, just like what they did with the barracks. But if they merge the storages, it will change the game forever. Players will now secure the storages they have, let say the 3 storages.
They could keep goin to TH 18-20 if they reduce the upgrade times and costs massively especially at lower TH levels, and reinvent the trophy matching System and make it TH level vs TH level +1, essentially not matching by trophy but by TH level, the trophy system could be turned into an additional seasonal ladder reward system with better rewards at higher Trophy Leagues. But the question is would they do that 💀
Bro clash of clans is the most satisfying game ever. Just like we would grind prestige in OG COD is the same reward aspect here. Which many games these days clearly don't have. Therefore let's just give clash credit . The game will go on forever as long as more town halls come out.
One thing that I would like to see is a set of single player story expansions for the different heroes, where they run solo, and you can follow a map like the Goblin Chase. I'm almost thinking the Builder Base could be a good launch point for this. Give me a little extra story to hook me in and keep coming back. There's more to the world to potentially explore. The Time Management game loses it's appeal after a while.
I've noticed they have been adding more content just to keep the players busy and hatched on to their bases for long. If they keep onto this thought process, the game would see a very slow dexth.
I downloaded it in December 2012. Christmas break, senior year of college. I now have a 2 year old. The goal is for clash to last at least until he gets a phone and can join the clan I made 11 years ago.
I inherited my village from my cousin (was th 11 max), now I’m playing there (th16). the village is almost 11 years old. If I ever stop playing it, I’ll give it to my son, and my son will give it to his. It will never end. Never.
clash will never die because those middle schoolers will always carry the torch. 7th-8th grade i was like man i can’t wait to get to TH9…. seems forever ago haha
This game is only fun when you play it after a long tiring day at school or work. The dopamine hit is amazing when you have to attack in wars and chat with the clan mates. Otherwise the game is super boring if you have access to it all day and are staying at home all the time
1:28 it was increased 30s longer from 3mim to 3min 30s, but it would later be reverted to 3 min when they realised that players were 3 starring base's left and roght
I just came back after playing clash from 2013 to 2016. I played over 100 mobile games since then and I have to say clash is the best mobile multiplayer out there. First of all it's not pay to win which is huge. I don't know how people can play competitive PvP games when other player can spend money and beat you?! Imagine that in a game of chess- lost a queen? $100 and you can buy a new queen - would you play against player like that? Clash has esport because it is not pay to win. It has great community, wars, it doesn't require you to be always on guard like some other mmorts games. It's well balanced, it doesn't bombard you with ads and stuff to buy. I am happy to be back
Why does everyone want something like Clash of Clans to end?Once it ends, and it's deleted from the Play store, you're gonna miss it in two years from now.People are so unappreciated when things like this are made.SMH
I think this is different from unappreciation. It is like the sudden thought at midnight about the death of your older loved ones that makes you cry. You don't want it to happen but it's gonna happen eventually.
They started working out the lack of spack with th16 with the merged buildings, upgrading both archer and cannon towers twice saves 44 tiles which is pretty big by itself imo, they can also add more of these merged building in the future for sure, only thing is that 90% of the community wont even get close to th16,let alone going beyond that. I think getting to th20 is probably the smartest move they can make,4 more levels for content is plenty and it would also make people potentially grind again since mow youd have a way to "beat" the game. My main worry however is upgrade times/costs. I feel like ever since t11 this problem as been reeally prominent in the game, like 3 weeks for a single upgrade is pretty ridiculous. If you have all your builders working on something you dont really want to keep attacking because youl just gey resources you cant use and that might get taken away, however if you are in a higher league you are allmost forced to attack whenever you can since you dont want to drop out of it,i think a % decrease on upgrade times at th12 and up is more than needed.
I really kinda have the feeling that they add sort of reset/rebirth/world system where you start a new viallage with some boosts, maybe not the same village, idk
Unlike others games, developers of this game listen to their community. And they are very transparent to their community. I think that is one of the main reason.
I think that coc actually started to get attention that it deserves. Looking for to, when we are heading to. Maybe additional village that you will need to beat it for 6* like it already is in BH.
I been having my account since 2014 on an ipod 4. Im at TH13. The less I play the game, is the more I can play and upgrade. Its just random lemme motivation to grind my TH as quick as I can, then quit for months or a few weeks.
