Just gotta catch good weather there and spend a bit longer to know the community, truly is a magical island when you spend a long time there, majority opinion is a testament to that. The community of locals and long termers are amazing, just need someone to take u under their wing. If you're hanging by yourself and just passing through briefly when it's raining, of course you're not going to get a chance to engage with everyone or truly immerse in the island.
Hey, Andy! Great video-really enjoyed it. Could you maybe make a video talking about what your employment/job is like-that allows you to live kind of a nomadic lifestyle. (Traveling all over Southeast Asia all the time!). What kind of work do you do? Is it freelance stuff-is it just different random odd jobs while you’re back in the UK? I know like you worked at some festivals and also that Harry Styles pop up shop. And that you were working when you posted those photos of that tennis tournament on your Instagram… Just curious how someone like me could make a nomadic lifestyle of traveling several months out of the year work. Hope all is well w/ ‘ya! Cheers, Andy!
Hey Bud! Good to hear from ya, glad you liked my bad holiday 😅 Good question! I work in the promotional field and event management, so work in the uk at events, then during the quiet times i bugger off to the sun. I haven’t quite managed the nomadic lifestyle yet and working online, i’m trying to find that path to doing that now but that is of course the aim. My goal is to either live abroad, or to, live half the year abroad, make some money online, then make money when i come back home. So right now there isn’t a video to be made until i do that 👍
Homeboy going to a Tropical Country during the "ber" months or the rainy season and is surprised that it rained a lot. Although the rain should be a little bit of a blessing since it means you are spared the scorching hot sun that comes with summer, unless that is something you looked forward too.
Well not really, because i was there when it was supposed to be the hot season and rain stays away. Like i said in the video, locals said to me the weather had been fine before i arrived with no problems. And yes i am a guy that loves the sun, the hotter the better. I understand the asian weather, but a whole week of it was not expected
Sorry Bradley, after Bali you should be better travel more to other secret Indo islands instead. Hangout with Uluwatu's folks they will secretly tell you what Indo really are. Here's some clues: Telos, Banyaks, The Ments, West Sumbawa, Tarimbang Sumba. All of those places i mentioned have better beaches & surf potentials than Siargao. Don't buy the false hypes.
