I found Victory entertaining in ECW, apart of Corino's stable. I never really thought of him as any main event level guy, just a dude that could work a serviceable match. Nothing wrong with that though.

I was watching the Kayfabe Commentaries ECW Timeline for 1998 with New Jack the other day and he talked about Jack Victory in that interview. When asked about him New Jack he remembered him walking around the locker room in a green thong and just how bad he was in the ring. One night Jack Victory’s match was so bad that he walked out the back, told Paul Heyman not to pay him as he didn’t deserve it, then New Jack said “that was the last time we saw his ass, figuratively and literally with his green thong”. Funny that I never heard of Jack Victory until the KC Timeline Of ECW 98 and now a few days later I get to see him.

Jack Victory is the reason I’ve watched literary any territory TV wrestling lol. I had the WWE Network for a year and decided to use it watch the entirety of Steve Corino’s ECW run. But wanted context on his manager first. So watched every single episode of a show that searching his name brought up. It was less than 10 iirc. And I think he was a mid card jobber every time. But still, it was an enlightening experience that I wouldn’t have gotten without his impetus. Hell; the MidSouth episode(s?) he was on also featured both the famed Cornette face-to-cake angle, and a 4-way tag team match that Cornette’s cited as his inspiration for the Triple Threat match.

I only know him from ECW and when he showed up I'm like, who's this mullet man always getting the upper hand on New Jack? Being in ECW wasn't terrible for a wrestler who can't wrestle and he did just grab weapons 😆 He was tolerable as Corino's lackey like others were saying. Also 1985 Wrestling Observer Rookie of the Year 😅😅 ... staunch 🤣

The Tandy TRS-80 Model 100 was eight years old and had sold some 5-6 million units by that point. Even by 1991 standards it was (and looked) hilariously dated. If you had or knew anyone with a home computer, even a Commodore 64, in 1991 it's pretty likely it looked significantly more advanced than the Model 100. It's one of those perfect examples of the older generation trying to do things they think will please younger viewers without putting in any effort in getting to know even the first damn thing about what they're doing. 😆 Dusty really was a master at that. I will refer you to his rapping.

Jack was a hard-working journeyman wrestler who threw one of the best right hands of the era. He and John Tatum were a great team as well. Not very good promo and had he come alone 10 years earlier he would have done better. Not a technical marvel but far from WCW's worse wrestler.
