I used to babysit a 13yo girl, but mentally she was around 7. She LOVED these videos! I vividly remember Peppa pig violently stabbing Mickey Mouse to death while teaching us about numbers. As long as the video had bright colours, funny sound effects and easily recognizable characters, she would absorb that content like crazy!

@@Ricardocomics14 Well, she has what's called a mental disability. It's a birth defect that makes it so that your brain just can't really mature up to a certain point. She'll grow up, and have experiences like anyone else will. Just her brain will stay around 7 forever. Some might think its sad, or feel bad for her, but she is one of the happiest people i ever met! She doesn't worry about her future, college, jobs.. She just lives right here, right now, and absolutely loves it! Part of me is jealous i can't be this carefree tbh
I learned about the mess that is RU-vid Kids a few months ago, since then I start getting a little bit worried whenever I see a parent bring their child to the fast food restaurant with a tablet device to watch videos on.
I watched a lot of adult collector doll review channels back when Elsagate was a thing, and Elsagate toy videos would always show up somewhere in my recommended. I quickly learned not to trust any toy related videos with popular Disney characters, Playdough, or specifically yellow backgrounds. I was so happy when a lot of those channels and videos got purged or mysteriously died when they couldn't make money off of RU-vid anymore.
Me too as a teenage doll collector used to watch doll collector videos! But I was kinda getting backlash from fam and friends for being “too old” for dolls so I slowly stopped watching those videos, though I never stopped collecting dolls in a whole. I buy them with my own money (in cash) now lol. I’m currently finishing a Rainbow High series 3 collection, and once I finish it I’ll start a Shadow High collection.

Having grown up as a Vietnamese, I feel sorry about what many Vietnamese has done to RU-vid for many years. The Elsa and Spiderman videos made by Vietnamese as well as bootleg cartoon shows are just one part of how Vietnamese are ruining the Internet. In Vietnam many people tends to make videos just for the money, without thinking of the consequences that these videos can harm children around the world. It's hardly impossible to miss these types of videos. Here's how you can identify them: 1. Look for recolored cartoon characters they ripped off. 2. The background has watermarks, because they stole it from the internet. 3. Cringe and unnecessary titles, like "Micky Mouse color fun surprise toy egg fun kids videoes"

I had a cousin in indonesia, she was about 7 yo, and she absolutely watches these videos as if she'll die for them. I never knew at the time it was specifically bad, so it rubbed off on me and I started watching it. Luckily I got rid of that habit quick, luckily my cousin doesn't watch them anymore, but another two of my cousins (7 yo and 4 yo) started watching videos like Poppy Playtime, I'm telling you the nightmare never ends. These videos are targeted to children who has no parental supervision or care at all, especially in asia. My cousins even made a whole minigame based around Poppy Playtime and even drew fanart of it. And their parents APPROVED. If you've ever seen FNF, and the mod called Sonic.exe, the 4yo had like a ton of fnf apps on his knock off android, and there was literally Xenophanes in the app, his dad literally saw it and shrugged it off. I'm concerned.

What sucks is there actually Is good content for kids on this platform, it’s just buried under all this junk. I don’t have any kids But I do have 4 nephews and a niece. One actually decent kids channel I can think of off the top of my head is called Badanamu. Maybe others in this comments section have heard of it? The characters are pretty cute and it’s actually well animated.

It might be nostalgia but every time I watch his videos from his intro, outro to his voice and the way he says things makes me feel comfort, each video makes me feel good and happy inside, the same feelings that I felt when I was younger.
You would definitely win, also there should be a competitor for RU-vid, because according to some people RU-vid doesn't fix small issues because no one can compete RU-vid and RU-vid only fixes problems that can and will become a problem to their company.
Every time I see these type of videos with toy eggs and horrible Spider-man and Elsa videos and kids animations that have fetish moments in them. I flag and report those in my spare time

When I was a little younger, just a few years ago, I would find a little more innapropriate videos on youtube kids. Around 2015 to 2018. The most popular video that I saw on the page the first time, was a cover of this innapropriate video about this h3nt@i rhythm game, except stingy (lazy town) was singing it. I have never come across the video again, but it was pretty funny since I was so oblivious and I thought, "this sounds really good". You could also find ship videos with innapropriate images and with "cute/funny/kids" music in the backround, which was really weird. I could also find these stories where cheating was addressed, and other innapropriate things. After the news and allegations, they were deleted. The elsagate was kinda still a problem though.
Lord, I remember when I was 4, my mum would let me watch videos on her laptop while I was eating. Then my mum left me alone , and a Elsagate video popped up with Mickey and Minnie mouse. I can't remember what was in the video, but it WAS Elsagate.

I checked out Slime Cat after this, I watched the one where SpongeBob marries sandy but a car runs her over and pink blood flows all over the street but then she has a bandaid on her head and is all better. Later spongebob drinks a health potion and goes into labor in a cave, giving birth to a sponge squirrel hybrid. He then wraps the baby in a leaf and floats it down the river, a la Moses. I was baffled the whole time I was watching it but not that different from what we used to watch on Newgrounds as kids.
I remember watching a RU-vidr by the name of game toons which at the time of me watching it in 2021 was a great channel but that all changed when they started making FNF videos in which they milked to death and flandered every character that became at least 5 months ago, making the main character obnoxiously stupid and unlikeable Also they fell into the cringe pibby trend
In my opinion, the worst videos on RU-vid are the ones that literally hurt my soul. Like videos uploaded by child predators, criminals, etc. This is NOTHING compared to Nick Bate or PlasmaMasterDon

As someone who was a kid that was on RU-vid most of the time, this HORRIFIED me, Mainly because of the goofy sound effects. And since I liked My Little Pony when I was a kid and was on RU-vid a lot, I'd see these types of videos, and just tried to ignore them as I preferred better content despite being 6 (I liked watching CookieSwirlC videos)
