That part always stood out to me and I feel like it makes it even more impact, though I'm not sure if it was on purpose. It definitely FEELS like it caught him off guard
To me, he has some kind of speaker that he has to turn on everytime he wants to be threatening, but since he got caught by surprise he forgot to do it then.
Putress was a villain with style, and he had one of the best villain entrances in an event ever. I remember playing through this and hating him, but holy did he ever have style when he attacked us.
I was lucky enough to just stumble upon it while leveling. I didn't even know it was coming. I found myself just sitting and staring at the screen for a moment after it was over. So epic.
Yup David Lodge. He is also the voice of Nazgrim. More of his work involves anime where notably he voices Jiraiya in Naruto, and is the first voice of Kenpachi in Bleach.
@@ThePaintTrain Holy shit, Nagrim was always an awesome badass, but he was Kenpachi fucking Zaraki all along too? No wonder he's such a beast with a blade.
The decision of the council had been delayed XD Queen Alexstraza: "So the decision had been made, go forth my children! Unleash your flame upon the battle. Let the living rest in peace. And destroy the Forsaken plague!"
Dragons: *sits in the tower and watches the battle, doing nothing* Plague: *happens* Dragons: Mmm, alright, let's go. *four dragons go out, five dragons return* Seems legit.
@@denis197534 Well, in the How To Train Your Dragon books, it's stated that dragons are the most egotistical creatures in the world. I know it's a different franchise, but I think it applies well anywhere. XD They only make themselves useful when they want to. Kind of like cats. They are their own masters.
TBH, I feel that the voice acting in the last 2 expansions went downhill (except for Derek Proudmorore). I feel they use way too much bass in the Orc / Tauren voices, and it just sounds too booming and too unrealistic. As for the other voices such as Khadgar, Turalyon, and other characters that appeared during these expansions... I mean, there is nothing really special about them. Nothing much to make you love their voices, they are just alright voice actors doing an alright job. But other characters such as Tirion Fordring, Darion Mograine, Terenas Menethil (in WC3), Bolvar, King Varian and a few others, I feel that they have really something special in their voices. That being said, I think WoW is really going downhill, I mean it's 2019 and their in-game cinematics are becoming quite trashy and lacking any epicness that the WotLK ones that were made soooo many years ago. I literally feel no improvement for their cutscenes and in-game cinematics. They still use recycled in-game animations and so on :/
@Bat Bat Yes but the game is almost the same as 3 expansions ago. WoW's combat is still good cuz it's easy and thus can be very competitive for a larger group of people. But the content is the freakin' same as 3 expansions ago. We still do the same path world quests, reputations that are worthless a month later, dungeons, raids, PvP. Also, PvP barely had any improvements or content. They made those warfronts PvE and it was such a letdown. Imagine the warfront in PvP with proper reward, that would have been beyond epic. But guess what, it would have been harder to script them I guess, so they just made them a PvE scenario and that was it. Blizz is getting so lazy and every "new" feature is either recycled or just so lame but they advertise it as if they found the cure for cancer. Now, WoW is just a business in the hands of filthy business men, the heart of the game rot a long time ago.
@@vhaleryanadamant1975 From someone who has over 390 days of wow played time, quit this mess and spend time elsewhere. Preferably, not online. After wotlk wow became a milk cow.
@@alexanderkapsiotis8050 Yes that is true. Have you sen the videos about the devs talking about vanilla? Man, you could see that even they lowkey said that they used to put soul and imagination into the game back then and that now they don't do the same.
It is absolutely gorgeous! You could fool me into thinking it was a official WoW team cinematic... And then again, When i think about it, The WoW team wouldn't have made such good content. RIP Blizzard. Killed by the merger!
I remember when I was a brand new player, started during WotLK and had reached this point on my first character. This cinematic blew my mind. I had never seen the Alliance and Horde working together, as I wasn't super familiar with lore yet, so that was crazy. I was also blown away by this being the first in-game cinematic I'd ever seen. And it was incredible. Then following up by raiding Undercity on my Alliance hunter, not understanding how phasing worked, and thinking I had to be super careful not to run into horde players. This takes me back to when I was a total scrub and the game was this vast landscape of new experiences. I miss that.
@@Galactis1 it was higher in legion. There is more now.... That has been debunked over and over, They even said so. They can not lie about that, or it is stock holder fraud, which is highly illegal.
No it wasn't. TOTAL subs were just a tad over 12 million in WOTLK, Legion sold more in the first day but, did not have more in total. @@muzse4healerquickbit946
@@muzse4healerquickbit946 Lmao, they have stopped publishing subscriber figures because they're aware of low it is now. It's so people like you blindly defend an overmilked cash cow.
Varok saying that before charging at Sylvanas was him making a direct reference to his son, and it was blizzard foreshadowing how she’s becoming much like the lich king herself. Dranosh vs Arthas mirroring Varok vs Sylvanas
@@Riadect I know man, I'm a lore buff as well hahaha, also, I started playing in the patch The Wrathgate happened, it's special to me. Though I didn't do the quests, I was a 9 year old kid playing a lowly lvl22 Tauren Druid back then.
Annnnd, with the friggin' "blood and thunder" speech and heroic attack, the original "horde feelings" came back, and I painfully realised how much I was actually sad about the actual horde.
SSJ3MJ strange you say that cause the horde has always been about honor and glory yet they burn down villages and slaughter people so you are right, they are the same blood thirsty assholes as they were before
Draw any parallels with RL that you want but that's what you get when you choose a crazy power hungry leader been Ally for the last 10 years but I admired the horde as a worthy adversary, now I just see them as a mad dog that needs to put down Happy New year everyone
What's different besides the warchief? The entire idea of orcish honor is bullshit, even they don't have it because they come from like, a dozen different cultures with incompatible ideas on what is and isn't honorable
This questline was fucking epic and to have it end like this was just amazing. when the horde wolf riders charge shouting "for the horde" i dont care how nerdy it is. I just get fucking chills
The one thing that always sticks out in my head after all these years is this questline and cinematic. So glad I got to actually run it and experience it.
Have you ever heard the tale of Darth Kel'thuzzad the Necromancer? I thought not. It's not a tale the Alliance would tell you. It's a Cult of the Damned legend.
I remember setting my alarm clock with a reminder before an exam. The reminder was that exact quote. I got up like hell and obliterated that exam's ass from the face of the Earth. So I can completely relate to you in this. xD
it looks very weird today, with our models updated, doing though older zones, just to have cinematics pop up with very outdated models on screen. Nice work on this.
I personally disagree about the new models and I know many others too. Some races like humans/orcs/gnomes look uglier or races like tauren/Nelfs look cartoony and cute.
This cinematic was a beauty! It gave me all the feels I originally had when I first watched the Wrathgate back when I was a wee lil 8-year-old. Thank you so much for creating this! And happy New Years!
my god...that was amazing. I always thought that was the best cinematic they ever created. Now its even better thank you for the amazing remaster of an amazing cinematic.
Blizzard needs to hire this guy to just remaster all their cut scenes, or even make the new ones... oh wait they won't hire him since that would mean paying him... nvm
looks really nice, just bothers me that the growing plant-life is missing in the very last shot. The symbol of the life giving fire from the red dragonflight is something I always felt finished the cinematic perfectly.
Chills man chills every time I watch it... and the music makes the hair at the back of my neck stand... this by far is the best cinematic and chain quest in the game!
Wow such an astounding work! I never knew I would get shivers from this again! If yo u could create the 3.3 patch trailer remastered, it would be the best move after this! Keep up the great work!
For years after this, I had an IRL friend that at any mention of the Forsaken would need to quote, "Did you think... we had forgotten? Did you THINK... we had FORGIVEN!?" Still one of the most iconic WoW moments.
@@hilnnerfarias913 Sure it is but no one even cared about his son anyway so you catn really call him "Saurfang" and it is only one Saurfang and thats Varok
