Agree 100%. I would try another enright book but I was BORED.

My first book by Anne Enright. I enjoyed this book and thought it was not boring.

I agree that it was boring, I dnfd it. I was also looking forward to reading it too

So this was an interesting one for me. I really enjoyed the writing but this book needed more likable characters for it to maintain from start to finish for me. I felt myself getting tired of Nell and Carmel’s dynamic and often rolling my eyes by the end of the book. Great writing, poor story unfortunately

Ooh. I'm almost curious enough to see for myself just how boring it is. 😉🦃📗 But I'll probably start with The Gathering ... someday.
