Same... I was very hesitant to buy it because my bigger lasers do everything this does. However, it has actually became on of my favorite lasers to use. We use for on the spot personalization at our store, and people love it.
The machine does not have a camera but it does have a live preview! I find it very helpful for one offs because you can exactly line the piece up on the bed.
I''d love to see a video on deep engraving brass with this machine for coins. It would be perfect for taking to markets an customization wooden projects. but I'd also like to make coins at home to add a makers mark.
Using mirrors means the beam isn’t circular as it moves farther from the center. Have you noticed any decrease in sharpness towards the edges? Also, what happened at 7:04?
Hi there! I’m considering getting either the Xtool F1 or the Xtool D1 10W. The price of the F1 is my main concern, but I do want to engrave high quality images. Have you ever done a comparison of the resolution you can get engraving with both? As they both have 10W lasers I was wondering if the D1 could actually do as good a job?
I don’t have hands on experience with it but from the looks of it is really really close to LaserPecker, like almost wonder if they are coming from the same factory. The F1 has a better enclosure and exhaust setup from the initial look.
1:52 - no, it won't. The IR laser is removing the anodization, not the aluminum. With as much as you do this, you think you'd not make that simple mistake, but I didn't think this channel had much in the way of moral fiber.
Aluminum can be tricky with even more powerful lasers but the wave length of the 2W laser is the same as the more powerful fiber machines you would find from Cloudray, 1064nm. I’ll run a test to show but you will get the same effect, it’s just ALOT slower because of the low power. It’s the same laser beam as a fiber machine, it’s just not using a fiber optic cable for doping/moving the light. You might be talking about the new fiber machines that include morals but I haven’t been able to review one yet.
@@makeorbreakshopclass act response. I can’t wait to back the kickstarter for moral fiber lasers, that technology is going to revolutionize the market by unlocking the ability to cleanly cut through BS.
you might think a guy with zero content and 30 subs would have better things to do than troll this channel, but hey no one ever said you have any moral fiber.
