True story right there. What’s it going to be like for our kids futures living in cities with millions of others.. We left AZ to TN to live the same dream of having opportunities and creating those memories that living in those millions of people cities would never be able to provide. We are the happiest for our kids to be able to be in a school that actually cares about the development.. btw Syd, you and Kim are very similar. Look forward to meeting y’all! Not to far away. Oklahoma here. We have our suburb house in okc…. And 125 acre cattle ranch in beautiful SE Oklahoma. Ranch has woods, creek, ponds, and pasture. These days we spend more time at the ranch than in Okc. You missed out! Lol. Great video….

It’s really eye opening hearing yall talk about your happy times in Cali. I was a young child when I last heard positive things about Cali

Woot, how awesome for you guys =). We also moved here a year ago but from Oregon so I had to watch! I personally had spent 20 years in southern Illinois (after moving from Palm Springs for my first husband) and moved to Oregon for the love of my life. After 3 years of weirdness, I had to drag him back to this side of the country but wanted a warmer climate. Neither of us had ever been to Mississippi but it's been an awesome transition. I was looking all over the south, North and South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama but we landed on Mississippi and have no regrets. People have a lot of preconceptions about this state and maybe that's a good thing lol...they can keep filling up Florida and Tennessee =P We ended up 25 mins west of Starkville, so we can access that and Tupelo pretty easily and just love it, even with only one acre...not a whole farm lol.

I found your channel as you were traveling to Mississippi and enjoyed all of the episodes. As a life long resident of Mississippi we welcome you.

That was just as tear jerking as the first time I watched you saying it was a go. It has been exciting watching the things you are doing there in Mississippi. I lived in Baldwyn in 1975/76 as a little girl with my great grandparents and my grandmother. I don't remember much in the way of the actual town but I remember my granny Macs place vividly. I was 4 and 5 years old there. Seeing all the trees and lush landscapes in your videos is beautiful. I am a WEST COAST girl having been born and raised in Oregon, (other than my time in Baldwyn) I love seeing other places that I have always thought were barren without trees, mountains, and such. Arkansas is another place that surprised me. Personally I cannot live without the trees and mountains and lush green environment. ANYWAY...squirrel....LOL You guys are fantastic human beings! That was well put together. Last year I moved from Naples in SW Florida to Mcalpin Florida in the big bend area of Florida. It was hard, but I hab to get out of the city to get back into the country. I moved with the help of family. I went back and forth so many times I lost count. My 16 foot stock trailer was back ordered so I had to hire livestock movers to move my goats and I bought a 16 foot cargo trailer to move everything else. But I really love it up here.

I was born and raised in Mississippi for the first 24 years of my life. Mississippi has the best people I’ve ever met. And I’ve also met the worst people I’ve ever met. I moved to Georgia back in 2015 and never looked back. My reasons of leaving was because of economic problems and struggling to survive. I still go there a few times a year to visit my family. I miss my home state, but they really need to try to get our young people to stay there. Most people that I’ve known have left either to Texas or Tennessee, because of better opportunities in those states. Yes, there are a few areas that are doing well. But for the most part, majority of the state and my area i lived In has been going downhill. My hometown lost its last major employer last year and relocated to Texas. I just hope it doesn’t continue to go down this route. But do I understand why y’all left California tho. We all have different taste, and I wish y’all all the best!

Great vid guys....first off, California, a great state, just a victim of poor management. Good thing yall got out. Perhaps one day folks can return to it to rebuild. Second, good move and the name....well, while yall are a cohesive unit, yall are definitely three different people. So it fits well. Lastly, Mike, love your shirt in the beginning of the vid, and, no, I wont try to change your mind. Firstly, because I wouldnt want that kind of *ss whoopin'. But, secondly, and more importantly, because ive seen the glimpses yall have given us of you teaching your daughter how to build, garden, feed herself, hunt and work on things. She is very well rounded. And, I know, bite my tongue, when the day comes for fellers to come a callin', the one she chooses better all but walk on water. That young lady will deserve nothing less. I’ve been watching RU-vid for years and have NEVER seen any videos encouraging people to move to the armpit of America aka Mississippi. But I guess if you don’t care about education for your kids, diversity, and not dependent on the low wages there then it could work lol.
