Pym particles started off in a gas form, then they were turned into a pill which Hank would take different ones when he wanted to either grow or shrink. He then went back to gas kept in his helmet. I think he does have some deodorant cans which Deadpool stole, used on Rhino and turned him into a key chain. It does have a limited life span as when Hawkeye was Goliath at the end of the Kree Skrull war he ran out and became Hawkeye again. I don't know how it works these days though.

know it's been 6 years but yeah, I can explain it's ridiculously complicated, basically long term exposure will allow the body to actively make the particles, so sooner or later you can just do it. Most ant-men and their family can do it without using the gas and pills devices

That was so out if character for Cyclops. Most books don't write him very well, so he ends up being the douche from the X-MEN movies. Astonishing X-MEN wrote him well and Chris Claremont knew what he was doing.

I think the problem people have is that they are new to reading Cyclops. They only know him from the show or post M-Day. Before you could say this fits his more boyscoutty persona. Now, and really since this story, he has been 100% in the corner of do whatever it takes for mutants and mutant rights. Which is pretty much why AvX happens and he becomes a "Mutant Terrorist." Also I really want to know if @marvelexplained has read this yet. I know you were pushing it on him Sal.

Pym Particles once existed in a liquid form, so applying certain dosages on objects or himself would result in a pre calculated size outcome for a certain amount of time. Later, Pym was able to synthesize Pym Particles into a gaseous form for quick shrinking results with inhalation so he created the Ant-Man Suit to allow him to control his size at will.....but who cares it's Ant-man lol

I spent years hating the Scarlet Witch, but I liked the Children's Crusade retcon. I still hate Wanda for messing with the Phoenix at the end of AvX, but no-one seems to give a crap about the larger consequences that could have for the MU. I could rant, but I'll resist. Awesome episode!

My god!!! Now i've watched all the back issues. My fun, hilarious and insightful journey with 3 wonderful host in comic book history has now come to an end(that is until the next back issue comes out). I think that it was still Wanda at the point when Hawkeye went to go see her because some magic happens when he goes to the door so she probably got replaced by the robot some time between then and the Y.A finding her.

great retcon of house of M, I know it lets scarlet witch off the hook, which is the drama of the whole thing, but it makes such a great DOOM plot. Like you said, its SO comics. And we've had so much of modern comics' whole good guys fucking up or fighting each other, it's just to have a good ol classic villain

I'm glad you caught that. A lot of people misunderstand that just because we point our silliness or issues with plot doesn't mean we "hate" on a title. Sure, we've done that before (cough All Star Batman and Robin cough) but by and large the discussion comes from a place of enjoyment.

I never read this when it came out largely because of the title. But it does raise one issue I have with Marvel, it needs to lay ground rules for how character's behave and their basic character traits. I've been reading X-men since the late 70's and Scott has changed so much since Morrison's run I barely recognize him anymore.
