I'm very surprised that my parents let my 14yro self watch this show in the day. Thank God they did, as it is one of the shows that shaped my sense of humour! Still adore this gem to this day❤️
@@bootleg8923 Thanks Dr. Freud but I was not doing anything of the sort. I was explaining that it was so loved that even my strict parents let a 4 year old watch it. I have met plenty of people think its stupid, some fans who think it aged badly, some people just didn't get it. Trying to sound benevolent and serene does not make you come off as wise.
Funniest series ever made......ever! The tampon mouse scene was my favorite, suprised it isn't in here. "You brought me a present! It's a telescope! A telescope with a mouse in it!"
Totally surreal. It was the best thing on television when I was I was 14 or so. I loved it. There was a saturday morning kids show with a similar dynamic though much tamer. Tiswas. 70s and early 80s Britiain was pretty destabialized. You had the miner's strike and riots in Brixton. Pretty febrile atmosphere at the time. Made for some good comedy. Luv and Peace.
@Brendan McGlinchey "Tiswas" ran until '82. Bruce Dickinson mentioned the band's current appearance in the show on Iron Maiden's "Beast Over Hammersmith" CD/DVD which was recorded in '82.
I never knew about this crazy show until I saw it on WatchMojoUK. And after seeing these clips from The Young Ones, I realized that it’s more crazy than I thought!
Very good. But no wee jimmy krankie on a date with windy miller from trumpton. Not in a political way, not like the don, with his hair, but in a good way, like something good
