The Youtube Algorithm Seems to Be Broken, At least it is for me 

I'm with you on that. I get so many suggestions that I'm just not interested. I catch myself clicking the not interested button many times. Now it's alien videos. So many fake videos of objects in the sky. AI is creating real looking videos. The thumbnails never are what the videos are about. Another lure to click on it. I get flooded with so much topics that I have no interest. Don't click on a video on a money playing or you videos will be flooded with them. As far as relocating to a different country I sometimes agree. This country is taxing us out of existence. Work, pay taxes. Buy something, pay tax. Get taxes done at end of year, pay more tax. Sell something, pay tax. Own a home, pay tax and tax and tax. Water bill, pay tax. Electric bill, pay tax. So on and on. Can't say the government needs your money to make things work. It's just greed. People think China is bad to live? We have more restrictions here and pay more than anywhere else. Freedom?? There's no freedom. Good to see you Jay

Most of my hobbies involve food. I'm either growing something in the garden or making something to consume. Zymurgy is fun. I make sourdough bread and pizza during the colder months. I used to make award-winning homebrew but stopped drinking, and now I am dabbling in making mead. I don't really drink alcohol anymore, but the process is fascinating. I like fermenting foods like Cortido when I can grow or purchase Manzano peppers. You need to distract yourself towards your own interests. Maybe if you used YT more for your interests, it would drive you towards more of those interests.

YT is definitely broken. On multiple levels.

It has no idea what you want..the feed is out there some where. I only use my subscriptions, it thinks we need variety..

Click one cat video.... get cat videos for 2 weeks here and there. Click another add a week. Thinking of it like that, watch one video with a lot of secondary video clicks it recommends that is a completely different topic... well your getting those videos recommended too. Honestly, you IP searches on another device could trigger it too. I turn off my history so I get no notifications. Just my subbed channels and what I search. Saves time.

I know your heart desires being in China the most, so I say do it. But, if the states is where you need to be for now, maybe try a different state with more things to do there that you are interested in?
