I'm liking the retrains for Berfomet and Gazelle along with the support it's getting for classic cards. The art on the new Gazelle is fantastic, and the more realistic style for Big Winged Berfomet looks great too.

I agree. Cards look amazing, but I hate retrains because it make you not really want to play the OG cards much. Love the support though.

@@jetth9892 retrain is the only way to make og cards viable. You can also make cards that focused around the og cards that are insane, but in that chase those og cards became just materials/combo pieces required to use those broken cards, you're not actually using the og cards. I hope I was clear enought.

this is what i always say! Indeed! This would be so badass. And an effect to destroy all monsters once per turn as a quickie (makiu magical mist effect) and a recovering effect to ss dm when removed from the field, OR destroy the field and change back into dm.

@Adamame93 I feel like og yugioh's trump card was ritual summons and they've made a resurgence with illusion of chaos having effects in hand as well as on the field... I feel like stopping effects from the hand might be absolutely amazing for the current meta. Maybe make a "Silent Swordsman/Magician of Dark Magic" to tie it into the Dark Magician archetype properly.

Actually for the 1st turn combo, in the end u must add Mirror Swordman instead of Cornfield, because on the opponent turn , u want too ss the swordman again by berformet effect...and u have cornfield and another mirror swordman on graveyard for the negation effect while Chimera phantom beast on field.

As a big fan of the card game and show this deck is pretty lit. What I love most is that there is no link syncro or pendulum monsters in it. And if anybody here knows how I feel please feel free to comment because when pepe was a thing I stopped playing for awhile. I didn’t like how they expanded the game to a point in which you could ftk your opponent.

Hey guys, this is a long shot but I’m super interested in the Illusion set and love the old school version of chimera. Does anyone have any tips to make these newer cards work in an older deck? IE no Ash, no Droll, no Imperm? Or would that just be too broken? My buddy and I play yugioh pretty regular but try to keep to the old rules and still have fun without 48 interruptions. Any feedback would be great!

In this list? Not unless you open Mercourier and get an Albaz Fusion on board by the time the Droll is used If you're going to get hit with a Droll, though, the least suboptimal spot to get hit is on the Berfomet search after the Mirror SS effect because you have enough gas to get the Chimera hand rip off, while getting Mirror back on board from Berfomet's effect (and a negate from the GY when it tributes itself the following turn), and also resetting the Chimera Fusion Not terrible for a one card combo through Droll, and your opponent will be down two cards when their turn rolls around

At 21:33 he says that Mirrorjade is live on your opponent’s turn because it’s effect got negated. Can anyone confirm that? From reading the card I don’t see how

Mirrorjades effect stops it activating again the next turn. If its effect is negated, it doesn't do anything, including applying that restriction.

I've been playing a pure version of this deck with fusion deplo and armament and it's pure gas it's insane. I know it's not gonna be top tier but damn it's a fun retrain. Nightmare magician is also fun to run in this just for the lulz of stealing your opponents monster if you're just shy of lethal lol.
