Good to see i'm playing in a similar way to you, I wasn't sure if there would be some crazy strat against ranged enemies or not. It looks like it's mostly, hiding in cover and taking pot shots etc. Dunno if you tried this yet, but you can charge with a flamer on it's alt fire mode, whilst firing. It's just something really fun to do, if nothing else :P Also, the healing based on damage done talent, seems kinda pointless on higher difficulties, cause most things either 1 tap you or just just dead regardless, being in a bad spot.
2:40 the look-away spawns in this game are fucking horrible. i don't think verm was this bad. just brutal. i can be following someone, glance away, then glance back and enemies have spawned behind the guy i was following. it's absolutely ridiculous and nothing feels worse than clearing some ground, taking out your ranged weapon to kill 4 of the 18 gorillion ranged enemies, and then getting whomped in the back of the head by a scab. 33:50 These guys spawned overlapping core's position. Fatshark get it together man this is a joke
There's a good reason why they surround you and sneak up on you: They're INFESTING A HIVE CITY. Did you not read or watch any lore for DT? You have to keep your head on a swivel, that's never going to change.
tactical axe for that mobility and stamina regen. then flamethrower for the horde clear is my go to. bolter is good too when playing pugs, since a lot of veteran players suck ass and don't kill specials quickly
this may be a dumb question, but why not a heavy sword? is the regular sword just more versatile? because your down heavies could be doing a lot more damage with a heavy sword.
Zealot is balanced but not overpowered I love my zealot but ironically the best melee class is veteran sharpshooter... Zealots have trouble being tanky However the class ability is super fun and both offensive and defensive
@@SirBeo Power Sword is so broken... Best Single Target while having unlimited cleave lmao. As a Sharpshooter I love it but I can't wait for it to be nerfed as well so I can justify playing my Zealot
Depends on situation, but overall it's safe to say that Veteran with Infantry Lassgun is the specific class loadout that performs the best. Now, if you don't take infantry lassgun (specially MG XII) then Veteran performance drops substantially, good enough with the MG Ia, MG IV and Bolter, rest of the weapons are pretty average or meh to the point where bringing a vet for those weapons is useless and rather have something else.
Kantrael Lasgun MG XII is not weak. It's the best gun in the game the other 2 lasguns are shit for sure, but they are still better than the Accatran series. Full autos are utter garbage. They do less DPS and chew through your ammo meaning your entire teams ammo economy has a constant budget deficit. The Boltor can somewhat compete with the MG XII, but is less reliable due to reload, ammo, recoil issues. It does do more damage vs armor than the MG XII which is why I say it competes (somewhat), but it is overall less consistent. Flamer might be a good choice, but not worth stacking. EDIT 2: Just because I didn't mention it Helbore could have been good if you could actually swap to it faster, but it has an animation that makes you turn off the safety or something that takes a whole second THEN you have to charge a shot. Could have been good due to its very solid damage model, but yeah. Crap swap time. The sword might be because it's faster therefore safer than the chain/eviscerator which commits a full second to each target with it's special attack. Though I can't be certain on that one, but I am certain on the gun choices. EDIT 1: The sword has more cleave. You can heal from hordes better with Holy Revenant (level 20 talent). You can see an example at 8:04 .
Kantrael MG XII is definitely Strong, the others, i´m not a fan of, altho they are probably pretty good with the right perks. As soon as they buff Fire dmg, which right now doesn´t do anything, the fast firerate Lasguns are actually gonna be worth playing because of "Infernus" Blessing. They also have better pen and are just as good against carapace.
As a preacher main with 80+ hrs in this game I just wanna say I too love the heavy sword for our class and think it has the best end game potential However I like the other variant versus this one ur using because I find the parry useless in most scenarios
IIRC the feat is called "The Holy Revenant" or something like that. Zealot has a passive where he won't die (only go to 1 HP), with a 90s cooldown. The feat makes it so you heal for a portion of damage dealt during that invulnerability.
Thunderhammer is certainlñy in a bit of a weakspot atm but shouldn't be too hard to bring back to a decent spot if FS wants, flamer on the other hand is in an excellent spot and it's super strong, but you have to use when it´s needed; to clear huge ambient packs full of elites, to clear events, make space fast, etc. In this case we had a flamer but it was a different player using it, so that's why Core brought the lassgun because atm generally you want 2 lassguns if possible on some open maps where reaching shooter packs is harder (this could be a map where you only use 1 lassgun and be fine tho).
@@joema48 if you have bad situational awareness and pull the flamer out when you shouldn't, then yeah you can get hit, but you can still dodge with the flamer being pulled out. flamer horde clear is amazing on higher diffs as well
5 is sadly pretty damn easy, did one too yesterday with endless horde and 0 deaths, btw what do you think about the dodge mechanic in this game compared to vt?
