This pistol was a collaboration between a number of people in the zinc community and my local nerf group who helped and I'd like to thank them. Autosidearm from 118 Design who created the Zinc 2.0 and donated the hardware kit Roboman from Roboman automation for donating the PTFE barrel and designed the rear we use Chance for designing the BCAR we use Bamboost for the original slide that this is based on KevKevLovesToEat and Digitalben for donating toward shipping it in pieces to australia eepowers for helping me print up the frame, slide, and bcar in better quality than I could at the time and you for driving me into this hobby to begin with
just a small note, 13x38mm is actually just the metric "cartridge" dimensions of a half length dart. 13mm wide, 38mm long. The 13 round magazine is just a coincidence :) Also, as far as the trigger goes, it's not really a choice of "slam fire or deprime," thats purely down to the mechanism. The turnaround style breech simply doesnt allow depriming to be done because the catch reciprocates with the bolt, and isn't in contact with the trigger surface when the bolt is at the rear. This "floating catch" design is essential to the function of the turnaround system, but is the most compact springer mech, so you're trading the inability to deprime for a smaller overall blaster silhouette, which makes a blaster as small as the zinc possible in the first place. Slam fire is just a bonus of the design.
Ah, that makes more sense. Didn't really associate cartridge and dart in my mind since they don't use them. Do you happen to know of any blasters with slamfire and the ability to deprime?
@@BradleyPhillipsYTDon't quote me on this, but i believe most direct plunger blasters that have slam fire, like i believe there is a variant of the caliburn or talonclaw that gives it slam fire, and those can still de-prime. A lot of first party blasters with slam fire tend to have locks that prevent de-priming, but naturally those can be removed. As far as i know, only turnaround blasters by default have to sacrifice the ability to de-prime by the nature of their mechanism, and i don't think any direct plunger blasters are similarly incapable of de-priming if they have slam fire.
Worth mentioning, I had played a day of skirmishing with the blaster before filming my review, so the spring was likely worn in compared to a fresh one. Find Misplaced Moose at the following links... Your blaster reviews are the best. I always appreciate how in depth your accuracy tests are. You're also the only youtuber I watch that actually has decent gameplay footage. I can't wait until you review the Worker Harrier. My favorite videos of yours are the ones where you smoke gel ball peasants with high powered nerf springers.
I love were this hobby is going, many are focused on proformance in the most compact way. Apart from the worker cheetah, to get anywhere close to 200 with a reasonable prime, just isn't really available. Unless I missed it, how did the frame handle the heavier spring?
Great review as always, I was keen to get it as my intro to nerf till I saw the price tag yikes! ☹️ Looks like I’ll be sticking to gel ball but looks like a very effective piece of kit to use for gameplay 💯
My advice if you're OK with building and printing this blaster, but think it's hitting a little hot or the prime's too heavy is to get a K31 from Out of Darts and install that instead of this blaster's included K25.
Especially for the price, if you're trying to hit lower FPS then sticking with the standard length zinc and bumping its performance with a bigger spring is a better use for the money.
Nick vid Bradley. I passed by your channel again cause i just saw Out of Darts just reviewed the Worker Harrier. Have you planned to check that springer? He has great vids too, nevertheless he does not emphasize much in performance, like you do in your videos
Vaguely working on that concept. Will probably be my next major mod. I'm working on a way to keep it a pistol when wanted with a removable stock and pump unit hanging off the picatinny rail with a way to attach it to the slide.
@@Ripolada My frd I don't think its possible. I ordered 2 s200s viper and both of them got seized by WA customs. Considering that the zinc 2.0 is even more real steel looking than the viper, I wouldn't advise shipping it to NSW. I contacted the zinc2.0 and ziiiinc seller and they both had the same conclusion. Hope this helps.
Modded Viper shoots a little lower fps than the Ziiiinc and struggles to shoot 38mm darts where the Zinc takes them fine. I think it's more a choice of looks or material.

Truly amazing wish I could have that gun in full dark grey mod cuz in my country they dont really care about nerf guns. Officers check the mags if it nerf bullet they let me go so we are all using black only pistols. Actually they dont care to find co2 airgun carriers anymore. But at least I wanna have that thing as cyberpunk style grey-white with stickers. BTW when I saw your gun's mod is something similar valkyrie SMG nerf gun. I ordered it full dark grey version. You are so genius I cant blieve that I found you. I love learning things about nerfguns. In my country if someone plays with even with high quality nerf gun, people think its pussy and nerd. Calling nerd guns. I wish we could talk someday.
