Thea with merlin can have 100% uptime with second skill 50% damage reduction on least health heroes. Few good matchups that sound good on paper: Aurora/Thea to counter Iris. Thea/Heidi, haven't tested it, but Thea ult shield will prevent heidi 4th ability going down by AoE small damage abilities. Letting heidi survive more. Thea/Arachne tank. Arachne is one of the best tank, her only problem is low health. Thea with second ability/100% uptime will let Arachne survive a lot more. Problem with Thea is AoE heal as you said, so she will be good against Ishmail/Yasmine or other single target damage dealers, but will need more heals going up against multi target damage dealers.
I like Thea, but in my opinion she requires a lot of investment. For that kind of investment, I think I prefer Celeste. Dorian and Martha can get the job done for much less investment - and Martha can "tank" the back position. If you do put in the investment, her ascension skills are having an impact on the outcome of fights. The speed up and silence are also nice abilities.
I think that she shines really well with some adventure battles, if her artifact weapon and magic attack stat are high, while her defenses and health are low and well proportioned.

Yea I should’ve posted this a day or two ago but other videos were more time sensitive. Not included is the 20 minutes of team fight testing with the “old” version with team ideas from chat 😂
Something annoying about it, did an adventure today and there was a few times a short clip within attacks where Thea appearently uses a skill. To see it once, okay, but to see it (almost) every attack is annoying. There's a skip button, but the clip is too short to click on it on time.
I agree. It's not terrible, but I find she doesn't fit in with the other heroes. Unless they plan on "modernizing" the look of all the heroes to keep drawing new players.
@@franciszeigan2955 Yeah, I agree about not fitting in. That's the part that I didn't like the most. She seems to run more realistically, but it feels so annoying. I think that they will modernize everything, which is such a waste of money.
